This guide explains How To Form A Kingdom In Mount & Blade II Bannerlord as there are several main story quests that you must complete before founding your very own Kingdom becomes an option, and a dangerous one at that.

I do think there are alternative means to creating your own Kingdom but for this particular guide, I’m focusing on the most obvious and quickest way to creating your own Kingdom so you can begin exploring Fiefs, Policies, Diplomacy, there’s a lot riding on your ability to successfully manage your Kingdom.

Once you have found the Nobles you will be given a few tasks to find the location of each piece of the Dragon Banner. This involves some basic quests where you hunt down some enemy strongholds, killing bandits and the like along the way. Once you have all 3 pieces of the Dragon Banner, you have a decision to make. Whether you decide to side with Istiana or Arzagos, the path to forming your own Kingdom is the same.
Once the Dragon Banner is created you will receive another quest that requires you to get 100 Soldiers, a level 3 clan, and your own settlement. The objectives are both nearly identical regardless of the side chosen.

Once you have completed this final part of the story quest, your Kingdom will officially be founded. This opens up a huge part of the game where you can work on diplomacy with other factions, raising your influence to pass policies, there’s a lot involved.

Как найти вельмож (знать)

Чтобы создать свое государство, сначала вы должны пройти несколько основных сюжетных квестов, чтобы в итоге взяться за выполнение миссии «Безумие Нереция» (Neretzes’s Folly). Для завершения этого задания вам необходимо будет найти и поговорить с десятью вельможами (noble), людьми благородного происхождения, которые обитают в самых различных уголках мира.

Для нахождения необходимых персонажей вам следует тщательно исследовать карту мира и искать синие восклицательные знаки. Они означают, что в этом месте есть представитель знати со своей свитой. Это случается довольно редко, поэтому обязательно следите за появлением вельмож и не упускайте их из виду. Когда вы найдете благородного господина, поговорите с ним, чтобы выполнить один из 10 этапов квеста. Имейте в виду, что на это задание у вас уйдет немало времени, учитывая, насколько редки дворяне.

Судя по всему, лучшими местами для поиска благородных персон в Bannerlord являются замки, что не лишено смысла. Когда войдете в замок, обязательно попросите аудиенцию в зале Повелителя. Как только вы это сделаете, вы увидите, есть ли у них представитель знати, посмотрев в верхний угол карты мира.

Все зависит от того, хотите ли вы окончательно разрушить Империю или, наоборот, поддержать ее. Впрочем, геймплей от этого сильно не изменится – вам все равно придется собирать людей, отстраивать поселение и так далее.

Если вы решите отдать Знамя Дракона Истиане, то у вас появится еще один выбор: создать свою собственную фракцию или поддержать существующую. Окончательное решение зависит только от вас. Однако если вы хотите стать именно правителем, то вам, естественно, следует создать новую фракцию. Это не совсем королевство, но достаточно близко к нему.

При выборе Арзагоса, вам будет предоставлен другой выбор: сформировать свое собственное не относящееся к Империи королевство или поддержать существующее. Совершенно очевидно, что вам нужно выбрать первый вариант, если вы хотите стать королем (королевой). Просто имейте в виду, что Империя, вероятнее всего, не будет в восторге от появления еще одной страны у себя под боком.

As Opposing Forces said, kingdom creation is now bound to governors.

Hi, In campaign mode I fulfilled all the requirements to create a clan, but the button doesn’t appear. Another question, is it possible to create a realm in sandbox mode? To create a kingdom do I need to do what was said in the comment above?

There is no button. Go back and read patch notes. Or seardh the forunm, there is tons of threads about the same now.

And this question has been asked and answered almost as much as ‘When will we get a steam workshop?’ Try using the search function on this forum if necroing year-and-a-half old forum discussions didn’t help. (Hint: search on ‘create kingdom button missing’)

Complete Investigate Neretzes’s Folly mission

How can I find the proper lords?

The best way to complete the Investigate Neretzses’s Folly mission in Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord is to talk to every lord you meet. During dialogue, select the option highlighted in orange. If the lord has the required information, he’ll simply give it to you. If not, he will indicate the person who has such knowledge. This allows you to easily search for the Lords necessary to complete the mission.

When travelling around the map, it’s also worth looking for Lords with a blue exclamation mark. This will usually mean that the particular lord has the right knowledge, and talking to him can bring you closer to completing the Investigate Neretzses’s Folly mission.

Create your own kingdom

Four more conditions are required to create your own kingdom. You can find them in the green frame below:

THE CONDITIONS REQUIRED FOR CREATING YOUR OWN KINGDOM

Once all conditions have been met, go to Istiana or Arzagos and select the About creating my own factions option. After a short conversation, your own kingdom in Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord will be created. You can make all the faction decisions in the Kingdom window. You can change the name of the kingdom, start voting to influence the politics of the kingdom or declare war on other factions.

After you ask the nobles about Nerethes’s Folly (first main quest) you get some quests to (spoiler alert) Assemble the Dragon Banner which allows you to create your own faction afterwards.

1. Be independent, don’t be vassal to another Kingdom

2. have at least one IMPERIAL Settlement (if you want to restore the Empire) or at least one NON-IMPERIAL Settlement (if you want to destroy the Empire)

3. your Clan must be Rank 3

4. you need to have 100 troops in your party

5. reach a certain point in the main questline (see General section)
