We should always be aware that movies and television have a great impact on people’s behavior. The effects could vary, some are good while others are awful. Here are some of the effects that movies and TV’s could have on a person:

Fist of all, a person’s mood is definitely influenced by the kind of movie or TV show that a he is watching. Some would be depressing, others would be fun or even a relief for a person, thus they can absolutely ulter the mood status accordingly. For example; most of us when watching terrible events on the news channel like for instance; virtual roberries, rapes, murders and other terrifying acts, would definitely become depressed, scared and somehow conservative as a result of being shocked that we are living in such a world where so many evil people exist.

Secondly, movies and TV’s can also affect a person’s social life behavior. If a person becomes addicted to movies and television, he would be spending hours infront of the TV, and therefore neglecting so many other significant issues in his life. Such person would rather stay at home watch TV, instead of planning a joyeus time with family or friends. In other words, he would insulate himself from the real world and unfortunately would be immersed in a fictional world.

Finally, a person can increase his knowledge in various subjects by watching educational movies and TV shows. Some of them would be extremely beneficial to watch as they offer letracy in various aspects of life. Correspodingly, a person could develop a self esteem from what information he would gather from the Tv. For example, there is a friend of mine who usually follow up with such educational movies, and she always impresses me, with her magnificent general knowledge in almost everything.

In conclusion, movies and television can undoubtedly influence people’s behavior in many aspects. Ultering mood status, apartheid of the real world, and escalating general knowledge are some of the effects that a TV would have on a person.

These days, television and movies play a great role in our lives. They keep us entertained and informed. Aside from their benefits, they have their negative side, too. From my point of view, they influence our behavior badly. I feel this way for two main reasons. First, they are widely promoting violence and drinking habit in the society. Second, they make us less active and less social. For these reasons, I feel that they have some undesirable effects on people’s behavior.

One significant point to take into account is that today’s movies and television programs are full of homicide, violence, and drinking scenes. They extensively publicize aggression among people, especially young children and juveniles who are greatly vulnerable and impressible. This kind of unfavorable scenes might easily affect them, and they might try to intimate what they have seen, as we often observe that children after watching a violent movie start bullying each other. Besides, frequent display of alcohol drinking encourages and tempts people to use alcohol more and more, particularly when they face a problem. For instance, I often watch high-rated movies. Drinking is quite common in these movies. They really tempt me to try it for once, although I loathe it much.

Another important point is that TV and movies confine us to our coaches. Nowadays, people often tend to spend their spare time watching TV rather than going out and spending time with their friends and family. Even, So to speak, many people eat their food in front of TV instead of having it with their family. This kind of behaviors weakens family and social relationships and leads us towards more solitary lifestyle. Besides, this mass media has made our lifestyle more sedentary, since the more we watch TV, the less we exercise and do outside activities. Of course, immobility will cause many health problems such as obesity and heart diseases. For instance, a few years ago, I used to get regular exercises, but now I prefer to watch movie instead, so I have gained ten kilograms extra weight. Also, I spend less time with my family, and I do not go to parties and family occasions anymore, because I enjoy watching movies more.

In conclusion, I believe that TV and movies have some adverse effects on people’s behavior. This is because they considerably increase violence and some other bad habits, and they decrease mobility and social activities. In brief, besides their advantages, they have these detrimental influences.

I believe that television and especially movies are one of the major and outstanding achievements of humankind. Every movie makes an impression on people. How big this impression is depends on a person, his characteristic features, his weak or strong sides. Movies and television also can make people more violent. The more we see violent acts on television, the less sensitive we become to them.Eventually violence doesn’t seem wrong. We may even commit violent acts ourselves. This is especially true because we don’t always realize that violence has consequences. Actors can be killed and come back for another movie.

Sometimes we confuse that with reality. We forget that killing someone is permanent. Of course, watching movies and television can also be good for us. It can give us a broader window on the world. For example, seeing movies can expose us to people of different races and cultures. We can then overcome some prejudices more easily. Recently there have been more handicapped people in films, and this also helps reduce prejudice. The best influence on our behavior is that movies and television reduce stress.

Watching films, we can escape our own problems for a little while. Also, sometime movies show positive ways to resolve problems we all face. While TV and movies shouldn’t be a way to hide from life, sometimes they can help us cope. First of all, movies and television influence people’s thinking and action, especially the youth who are vulnerable. For instance, violence and sexual scenes result in young people cruel behavior. According to media, there have been serial murders which committed in school in China, and some scientists believed that the serious actions may involve in so many violence scenes in the media.

Most people agree that all forms of entertainment affect society. In my opinion, movies and television shows really do influence how people behave. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explore in the following essay.

First of all, films and television provide society with a lot of negative role-models, which many people are willing to emulate. These days, the so-called “anti-hero” is a big part of popular culture. This is a type of character who acts badly around other people, ignores the rules of society and has a really misanthropic attitude. Commonly, these characters glorify excessive violence and drug use. My own personal experience is a compelling example of this. When I was in high school, a close friend of mine was a huge fan of characters like this. While he started high school as a straight-A student, he later began to watch a lot of films which gave him the impression that taking drugs and fighting with his classmates was amusing and even desirable behavior. As a result, he barely finished high school and is now unemployed. Moreover, he has few job prospects. Had he not watched so many terrible movies, he would not be in such a desperate situation today.

On the other hand, TV shows and movies also provide people with a lot of positive role models. For people who desire to watch wholesome shows, there are many family-friendly options to choose from. Programs of this type showcase functioning and stable families. They don’t just show traditional and conservative families, but caring, loving people from many different backgrounds and with many different beliefs. For instance, my own family often takes inspiration from the parents and children we see on our favorite family drama, “The Bosby Show.” We are not always able to live up to the ideals the show presents to us, but they positively influence the way we behave every day. We are really thankful for the influence it has on our lives.

In conclusion, I am of the opinion that television and movies influence the way almost everyone behaves in modern society. This is because some movies cause us to act in detrimental ways, and because other shows inspire us to emulate and embrace positive values. (370 words)

Being one of the most proliferated social topic in all human life, as far as I am concerned, is the influence of televisions and movies on the people’s behavior. Considering the television or movies as the media that can portray some realistic or virtual facts to their audience, the psychological impacts cannot be neglected. To elaborate more on the topic mentioned the following reasons and examples will be presented.

First and foremost, as the anthropology findings reveal, the intrinsic nature of humans particularly in the earlier ages is to mimic some observed behaviors they experience. It is crystal clear that there is causal relationship between what they observe on the one hand and what they incline to do based on their observations and initial experiences on the other hand. For example, if children see dance movie, they want to mimic the physical behaviors in conjunction with the music casting. On contrary, some parents attribute the aggressive behavior of the children to some action and curious movies they watched. Thus, it is obvious that one of the cardinal challenge of all parents is controlling of the their children on the program they watch or the time they allocated to watch.

Aside from the point I made above, some professional movies and television programs are recognized as the media to persuade people about the current change in some general life topics such as clothing, special food, traveling, etc. For instance, there are a lot of advertisement programs which show celebrated people with particular type of cloth. Not only the television can affect general aspect of people live, but also it can be applied as the interface to contribute some political issue. For example, the effect of the media can highly be attributed as a critical tool to be successful in political elections. I strongly believe that this subject originate from the psychological affection that program makers remarkably identify the desirability of their audiences.

Taking all these perspectives into account, I can put an emphasis on the influence of the television or movies on the people’s behaviors regarding the intrinsic nature of humans to mimic some observed behaviors they experience and the psychological viewpoint.
