How to Connect Wirelessly Using Mac OS:
If there is an AirPort card installed in your Mac computer, you can connect to your Seagate Wireless Plus. See the user documentation for your computer for the most up-to-date instructions on connecting to a wireless network.
Once you have uploaded content onto the Seagate Wireless Plus, here is how to connect to it wirelessly from your Mac computer:
Please follow these instructions to connect a Windows tablet wirelessly to your Seagate Wireless Plus, in Windows RT or Windows 8:
iOS mobile devices can use the Seagate Media app to help you search for and play media files on your Seagate Wireless Plus device.
Seagate recommends that you install this app before you connect to the Seagate Wireless Plus network. You can find the Seagate Media app for free in the app store. Once it’s installed on your iOS device, follow these steps to use it:
You will now be able to view the contents of your Wireless Plus.
You will only be able to open files that are natively supported on your iOS device. Files that are not natively supported will either require that you re-encode them into a format that is supported by the iOS device, or will require that you download a 3rd party app that supports browser access to network drives. For more information on what file types and codecs your iOS device supports, please visit the Apple website.
How to Connect Wirelessly Using an Android Device:
Android mobile devices can use the Seagate Media App to help you search for and play media files on your Seagate Wireless Plus device.
Seagate recommends that you install this App before you connect to the Seagate Wireless Plus network. You can find it for free in the Google Play store.
How to Connect Wirelessly Using Windows:
Once you have put content onto the Seagate Wireless Plus, here is how to connect to it wirelessly from your Windows computer:
Please note that you will not be able to perform this if your computer also has a direct connection to your router. You will need to disconnect your Ethernet cable first before attempting to do this.
How to connect to wireless networks on various operating systems
Step 1 Click the Wi-Fi icon (may look like a Wi-Fi signal) in the task tray.
Step 2 The available Wi-Fi will pop up on the Wi-Fi list. Select the one you would like to connect, double click it or click Connect button.
Step 3 If the wireless network is secured, there will pop up a window requiring a network security key/password. Enter the correct Network Security Key/Password then click Next/ Connect. In a short while, a wireless connection is set up.
Method 2
Step 1 Click the Search symbol and then type Control Panel on the search bar and select.
Step 2 Click on Connect to the Internet under Network and Internet. The available networks will display on the right corner.
Step 3 Select the one you would like to connect, double click it or click Connect button.
Step 4 If the wireless network is secured, there will pop up a window requiring a network security key/password. Enter the correct Network Security Key/Password then click Next/ Connect. In a short while, a wireless connection is set up.
Method 3
Step1 Click the Windows symbol and then choose the Settings button on the bottom-left corner. It will pop up on the Settings page, go to Network & Internet.
Step 3 Select the one you would like to connect, double click it or click Connect button.
Step 4 If the wireless network is secured, there will pop up a window requiring a network security key/password. Enter the correct Network Security Key/Password then click Next/ Connect. In a short while, a wireless connection is set up.
Step 1 Click the Wi-Fi icon at the lower right corner in the task tray, and it will bring out a list of all the available wireless signals nearby
Or you can get this Wi-Fi list via the control panel as instructed below, press » windows key +X” on the keyboard, and choose “Control Panel”.

2) Now navigate your way to Wi-Fi connection by way of “Network and InternetàNetwork and Sharing CenteràChange Adapter Settings”
3) Right-click on “Wi-Fi” and choose “Connect/Disconnect” and now you can see all the wireless networks around.
Step 2 Choose your Wi-Fi network and press “connect”;
Step 3 If that is a secured network, a security key will be required. Type in your wireless password and press next;
Now it is connected.
Note: If your Wi-Fi network is open, you may see a box like below, just select “No, just connect”.
Now it is connected.
The process regarding wireless connection is quite similar on these two platforms.
Step 2 Now on Windows 7, click Change adapter settings.
On Windows Vista, click Manage network connections.
Step 3 Select wireless network connection, right-click it, and select Connect/Disconnect.
Step 4 At the lower right corner, there pops up a window displaying Wi-Fi signals around. Click the Refresh button to view wireless networks. Choose the one you would like to connect, then double click it or click Connect.
Step 5 If that is a secured network, a password or security key will be requested. Put in your Wi-Fi password and click OK.
In a short while, you can see the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar showing that it is connected.

Step 2 Put in your Wi-Fi password and click on Join.
Step 3 In a short while, a wireless connection is set up.
Method 2
Step 1 Click the Apple icon, from the Apple drop-down list, select System Preferences.
Or Click the System Preferences button on the bottom.
Step 2 Click the Network icon.
Step 3 In the left column, select Wi-Fi.
Step 4 Click Network and drop down the Wi-Fi menu, then choose your Wi-Fi network among all others.
Step 5 Fill in the password which is case sensitive and press Join
Step 6 Finally, the Wi-Fi status shows Connected when the wireless connection is successfully set up.
For iPhone
Step 1 On your device home screen, tap Settings and select WLAN.
Step 2 The available networks will display on the Wi-Fi list.
Step 3 Select the one you would like to connect, double click it or click the Join button. If the wireless network is secured, there will pop up a window requiring a Password.
Step 4 Enter the correct Password then click Join. In a short while, a wireless connection is set up.
For Android
Step 1 On your device access Settings and choose Wi-Fi.
