Installing Twitch modpacks without Twitch
As the title states I need to download the packs without actually using Twitch. I’ve had issues since Curse and Twitch integrated and the support team hasn’t helped at all. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!
Hey I wanted to find out if there was a way to get the modpacks to work without internet because I typically play Minecraft modpacks when my internet goes down then I get back into it Minecraft for like months.
Well you can always add them manually through forge
Yes, you can do this.
On the modpack page, click here:
And then click here:
It will begin downloading the modpack. However, the actual mods are not included in the download. The program MultiMC can use it.
Download MultiMC, then click Add Instance at the top left.
It should begin downloading. When it’s done, select it to play!
Note you may have to sign in with your account at the top right before you can play.
How can one do this without either curse/twitch or MultiMC?
Forge is another option. Other than those you can’t unless you get the server files to integrate the mods into a minecraft server,
We’re all a little crazy. I just don’t hide it.
Twitch Modpacks are built to work with Twitch (obviously you can use them through MultiMC too).
If you want the mods just get the mods listed/download and install the pack through Twitch/MultiMC and use another launcher like the Vanilla one or MultiMC with a custom instance.
Modpacks are just collections of mods sometimes tweaked with configs obviously (if a server pack then you’ll have to be careful as if it’s built to work a certain way it is expected to work with those files).
You can just get mods to make your own modpack instead of relying on modpacks made by other players and do whatever you want with the mods of your choice you don’t need a modpack if you know how to install Forge, Liteloader, Rift, Fabric and setup your own.
Depends on what you really want of course but it is really easy to do and you don’t have to rely on modpacks or Twitch to have fun with mods once you know how to setup a modloader no matter the version of Minecraft 1.6.4+ (pointing out 1.6 due to how the Vanilla Launcher and otherwise can work with Forge as 1.5.2 and prior have core mod folders [sometimes the Vanilla Launcher doesn’t like to work with those older versions so I recommend MultiMC for those] and other things of course. Modding the game hasn’t changed for players since 1.6 up to 1.14.4 at all like it does for developers every so often).

First you need project name, you take it from modpack url 
Now just open your terminal/cmd, enter the directory when you want to download modpack and type
And wait until it’s downloaded
Install node with npm for your operating system from here
And then run this command. Voilà it’s installed

Using Project ID
Find the project ID on the modpack’s CurseForge page.
Open your terminal/cmd, enter the directory where you want to download modpack and type cmpdl
Using Project Name/Slug
Or you can try using the project name taken from modpack url, but this method is slower and not always successful.
Now just open your terminal/cmd, enter the directory where you want to download modpack and type cmpdl
Using Project and File ID
To download a version other than the latest file in the project, find the file ID at the end of the URL to the download page, and type cmpdl

Exporting and Importing Modpacks

Sometimes you might not want to upload your pack to CurseForge as a project, and you may just want to share it with your friends. Alternatively, you may have downloaded a pack either via CurseForge or from a private location for a team server or a friend’s server. This article will help you with both.
Index
Exporting a modpack
Exporting is as easy as clicking the Minecraft Tab in the CurseForge Client clicking the modpack profile that you want to export, and clicking the context menu in the top right corner. From this menu, select » Export Profile«.
Clicking this will bring up the following window. Generally, if you are just sharing your modpack without worlds, you should only check config and mods. Clicking «Okay» here will ask you where you want to save to and then package your modpack up into an easily importable format for your friends or family. Once you have the ZIP, you can share this with whomever! If you have a private server, feel free to share this profile with your players! You can use any number of free file sharing applications to easily provide other users easy access to this ZIP.
Exporting a Vanilla Profile
Exporting a vanilla profile works just like any other profile, however these projects are currently not supported in the Project Creation process, meaning you cannot upload it to the website like Forge or Fabric projects.
That being said, you can still export it so that you can easily share it with your friends, YouTube followers or your Aunt Suzy.
Importing an exported modpack
If this is something you would like to share with the world, you can always follow our project tutorials and modpack submission tutorial to place it on CurseForge as a project. Obviously, this article is for if that’s not something you want, or if it just seems like too much trouble. No problem! Importing is even easier than exporting.
First, click the Minecraft Tab and look for the «Create a Custom Profile» button. If you look towards the top, you will see a link to instead «Import» a profile:
Clicking this button will prompt you to select a file. Navigate to the profile that you would like to import. This will automagically install that modpack as a new profile under the Minecraft tab. You don’t have to set anything else up, it will install the modpack just as if you had used the Twitch App modpack browser to install it.
