How To Get Blue Essence Fast? – Blue Essence Farming (2022)
If you are wondering how to get Blue Essence Fast, make sure you read this article to the end for all the tips and tricks!
What is Blue Essence?
Blue Essence is one of the main currencies players can accumulate in League of Legends. For players who are returning to League of Legends, think of Blue Essence as the new format of Influence Points.
Currently, there are only two currencies that are considered primary in League of Legends, the other currency goes by the name Riot Points, however, players have to pay for Riot Points, unlike Blue Essence.
What can we do with Blue Essence?
How To Get Blue Essence Fast?
The Fastest way ever to farm Blue Essence is through level ups. You get a champion capsule every time you level up and opening the champion capsule then gives you champions which you can disenchant for 90, 270, 630, 960, 1260 and 1560 Blue Essence depending on the cost of the Champion. Here are the 6 quickest ways to get Blue Essence in League of Legends!
1) Champion Capsule
The first one being the Champion Capsule which you receive every time you level up. This Champion capsule contains Champions which can be disenchanted for Blue Essence between the range of 90-1560 Blue Essence. This is by far the simplest and easiest way to earn Blue Essence.
Certain Milestone Levels also give an enhanced Champion Capsule which contains many more rewards and gives you more Blue Essence!
2) First Win of The Day
First Win of The Day is a mission that resets itself every 20 hours. This Mission gives you 50 Blue Essence for the first win of the day. Although not being much, you can earn 350 Blue Essence per week if you play 1 game a day and win it. This really adds up in the long term and not for quick farming of Blue Essence.
3) Hextech Chests
Chests have a 20% chance of giving you a champion so opening chests can also help you get Blue Essence. The good thing about Chests is that they will give you 960 Blue Essence for sure as Chests only give 4800 Blue Essence or higher costing champions.
4) Missions
League of Legends very often announces a certain set of Missions that can have Blue Essence as a reward. These are the missions that come along with Events such as The Project Event or the Pulsefire Events. These missions can give you Blue Essence anywhere from the range of 800 to 6300 which is quite the amount. Although this isn’t a reliable way of earning Blue Essence as there have been many events where Blue Essence wasn’t a part of their rewards.
5) Event Tokens
Event Tokens can also be a great way of farming Blue Essence as 1 Event Tokens is equal to 10 Blue Essence or 10 Event Tokens is equal to 100 Blue Essence. Assuming you buy the Event Pass and gather about 2000 tokens, you can get 20,000 Blue Essence. Now, this is a real way of Farming Blue Essence.
6) Honor Capsules
Honor Capsules also have chances of giving Blue Essence as they give out Champion Shards and Emotes which can be disenchanted for Blue Essence. You receive an Honor Capsule every time you hit a milestone or increase in Honor Level. Per season a Summoner can only get a total of 12 Honor Capsules for the 3 Milestones per level and 1 level up.
These are all the ways to get Blue Essence in League of Legends and now you can decide which is the best way for you.
Blue Essence Farming is very simple. It is where you devote all your resources to get Blue Essence which you can then instead use to purchase champions or other accessories from the shop.
There are many different ways to get Blue Essence and this section will list you every single one of those Methods.
Starting from Summoner level 5, champion capsules are awarded at level-ups and contain champion shards that can be disenchanted to obtain BE, activated to have a 7 days rental, or upgraded to permanently unlock the champion.
These capsules additionally also have a probability of giving out Blue Essence between a range of 860 to 1260 Blue Essence.
Well if you truly want to know the fastest way, it is to buy XP Boosts, and play ARAM’s.
ARAM’s also have the additional feature of a boost which gives everyone a random skin for their champion and also an extra 200 Blue Essence for yourself. ARAM is also well known for farming XP and there are many different tricks to do them. Combining all of those with XP Boosts will truly be the fastest way of leveling up and thus getting more champion capsules which will then give you your desired Blue Essence.
How Much Blue Essence Do You Get Per Level?
Every level after summoner level 5 gives you a champion capsule. Each champion capsule contains 1-3 champions, and can give an extra bonus Blue Essence.
Champion capsules are very random and the amount of Blue Essence you get per Level greatly depends on it. You can get anywhere from 90 Blue Essence being the worst amount all the way up to 5040 Blue Essence assuming you get all the best rewards. Getting both of these is quite impossible so you should be averaging at about 1500 Blue Essence per level.
There are also some milestone levels such as Level 30, Level 40, Level 50, Level 60, Level 75, Level 100, Level 125, and so on where you get a special capsule that gives you much more rewards.
If you are still finding it hard to calculate, going from level 1 to level 30 gives about 40,000 Blue Essence. Now you may think going from level 1 to level 30 must be hard but League of Legends developers have made sure that leveling up is easy and you can level up in a few games.

2022 Blue Essence Guide & FAQ | League Of Legends
Last Updated March 14, 2022 By Johnny Salib 1 Comment
When playing any game it’s important that you understand how their currencies work, how to obtain said currency and what that currency can be used for.
Over the years, I’ve played a number of games that include in-game currencies, most of which include both a paid currency and a free currency. League of Legends is not much different than games like Bloons Adventure Time Tower Defense and Pokémon Go, however, both types of currency will not be able to be obtained for free.
WHAT IS BLUE ESSENCE USED FOR?
Blue Essence is used primarily for purchasing or unlocking Champions. Players can either redeem champions by purchasing them for their full price in the in-game Store or can purchase champions for a reduced rate by using their champion shards.
Champions can range from 450 to 7800 BE depending on how new the champion is. Upon the release of a new champion, all previous champions get one step closer to becoming cheaper.
USING CHAMPION SHARDS
Depending on how frugal players need to be, they can choose to only unlock champions that they have the shards to. Using a champion shard to unlock a champion will cost 40% less than if the player was to purchase the champion outright.
Though players will save 40% on their champions, players will only receive 20% of the champion’s purchase cost for disenchanting said champions.
PURCHASING RUNE PAGES
Although it’s a bit archaic these days, players can still purchase additional rune pages for 6300 BE. The reason I say that rune pages are archaic is because of how oversimplified runes have become since the Runes Reforged update.
Unlike the previous rune pages, players will not have to sift through dozens of runes to gain stats, making switching which runes you want to use a lot more streamlined. Unless you’re someone who doesn’t fully understand what runes do or why you should select specific rune trees over others, having multiple rune pages shouldn’t matter.
Players will only have to make 6 decisions on their runes, making switching your already established pages easier to edit on the fly. League has also implemented preset rune pages to help assist newer players or players who aren’t interested in going in-depth with their rune builds.
UPGRADING YOUR CHAMPION’S MASTERY TO LEVEL 6 OR 7
Players can massively upgrade a champion’s mastery by spending time playing that champion in any PVP mode. Current PVP modes include Summoner’s Rift (not including CO-OP VS. A.I.), ARAM (All Random All Mid), and will occasionally feature alternate seasonal game modes such as Legend of the Poro King and ARURF/URF (All Random/Ultra Rapid Fire).
Upon reaching champion mastery level 5, players will have to play ranked Summoner’s Rift to progress further with their mastery. So for “ARAM-mains” like me, upgrading to mastery level 6 or 7 isn’t something of interest.
THE ESSENCE EMPORIUM
For endgame players, one of the best and most popular uses of Blue Essence is the Essence Emporium.
Twice a year, Riot launches the Essence Emporium that features chromas that can be purchased for Blue Essence rather than Riot Points. The Essence Emporium also features goodies such as Emotes and Skins.
Chromas can be purchased for 2,000 BE and depending on what time of year it is, players will only have access to half of the chromas available. During some Essence Emporiums Partner Program Chromas are available, costing 10,000 BE.
Players can also buy Mystery Icons for 1,500 BE and Mystery Wards for 4,900 BE.
The most expensive buys in the Essence Emporium include the Urfwick skin, which costs 150,000 BE, the Gemstone King icon + 1 Rare Gem, which costs 100,000 BE, Gemstone Prince icon + Rare Gem, which costs 75,000 BE, Gemstone Knight icon + 1 Rare Gem, which costs 50,000 BE.
Players can also buy the Money Bags Emote for 75,000 BE and the Make it Rain Emote, which costs 50,000 BE.
Note that these aren’t the only things that can be bought in the Blue Essence Shop, though these are some of the most common rewards that can be purchased since it was introduced in 2017.
CHANGING YOUR NAME
As Hannah Montana loves to remind us, “Everyone makes mistakes” and sometimes that mistake is as simple as choosing a terrible username or summoner name.
Changing your summoner name is one of the biggest investments players can make on League of Legends simply due to the fact that it costs 13900 BE, which costs over double the cost of 2 of the highest tier of champions.
If you do change your summoner name, remember that your name can be taken by another member of the League community and as of the time of this posting, League has implemented a new rule that only allows one player to use the summoner name, even if they are on different servers.
HOW DO YOU GET BLUE ESSENCE? WHAT IS THE FASTEST WAY TO GET BLUE ESSENCE?
Players can collect Blue Essence in a variety of ways, including disenchanting champion shards and completing missions.
FIRST WIN OF THE DAY & EVENT MISSIONS
The only consistent way of collecting Blue Essence is by completing your first win of the day. The first win of the day mission will reset every 22 hours and will provide players with 50 Blue Essence and 400 Experience upon completing the mission.
Unfortunately, 50 Blue Essence doesn’t go very far, but collecting the 400 Experience daily can help speed up how quickly players level up, thereby making collecting Champion Capsules a lot more manageable.
Players should take advantage of their First Win of the Day, if not to get a regular supply of Blue Essence at lest to get a regular supply of experience, which will ultimately be the method that helps players grind the most Blue Essence, again through champion capsules.
Players can receive their First Win of the Day in any game mode, including Co-op V.S. A.I.
Although First Win of the Day missions are one type of mission that players can complete to get Blue Essence, there are periodic missions tied to events that players can complete to get higher yields of Blue Essence. Event Missions can vary in the amount of Blue Essence received and has even included rewards as high as a couple thousand Blue Essence at a time.
Note: Not all rewards from event missions yield Blue Essence rewards and many missions will require the player to play in a PVP game mode.
CHAMPION CAPSULES
Champion shards are received every time players level up through champion capsules.
There are two different champion capsules that players can receive being regular ones and glorious champion capsules. Glorious champion capsules tend to have better champions in them, though I have to admit I’ve opened both types and have gotten good and bad results.
Players will have a very slim chance to receive a permanent shard instead of a regular one. Permanent shards can either be used to unlock a champion for no extra cost or can be disenchanted for more Blue Essence.
HEXTECH CHESTS
I’ve already written a thorough guide on Hextech Chests, how to farm them and what they reward you with, however, since we’re already chatting about Blue Essence, I’d be a terrible person if I didn’t let you know that Hextech Chests have a chance to drop a champion shard that is worth 4800 Blue Essence of more.
I personally feel like when Hextech Chests drop champions it’s a troll because lord knows mama loves her sweet, sweet free skins!
HONOUR CAPSULES & ORBS
The final way players can collect Blue Essence is by gaining Honour from their fellow players. At the end of each game, whether playing PVP or Co-op V.S. A.I., players can give “honour” or recognition to players they found impressive or fun to work with.
There are three different types of honours players can receive Stayed Cool (Tilt-proof, chill), Great Shotcalling (Leadership, strategy) and GG

Orange Essence (OE) should also be considered a currency. It’s value is approximately the same as RP, except that it is only used for cosmetics.

GAMERS DECIDE
Getting Blue Essence: Not Just Luck
A lot of people have complained about the shift to Blue Essence from IP over the years, mostly because they feel like it isn’t fair to F2P players, but getting Blue Essence isn’t just about luck. In this guide, I will cover all of the ways that you can speed up your acquisition of Blue Essence. This guide is going to focus only on the elements that are in your control, to give you the best chance at earning quickly.
Play, Play, Play
The simplest thing that you can do to speed up earning Blue Essence is to play League often. Every time you level (starting at level 5), you will acquire Champion Capsules which can give you, among other things, Champion Shards; disenchant them to get more Blue Essence. Only hang on to the shards of champions that you know that you want, and trash the rest; your Blue Essence count will go up in no time.
Mission: Not-So-Impossible
April Fool’s aside, missions are no joke.
Event periods are running fairly constantly in League, and during these times, missions will be offered to you every day; one of the potential prizes for missions is Blue Essence. If you are looking to earn more, be sure to complete these missions every day. In addition, some of the other rewards for missions can lead to more Blue Essence indirectly, such as Hextech crafting materials, so just because a mission doesn’t reward you with Essence doesn’t mean you can’t benefit from it.
The Honor System
Honor: not just an accolade, but the key to earning essence.
This is the meat and potatoes of Blue Essence gathering if you want to do it fast; it is by far the most easily controlled aspect of the process. I will be breaking down the honor system more in the sections below, but basically, you want to earn honor from your team-mates every match. It doesn’t take much effort to make yourself the kind of player that will get recognized each game, and it’s well worth it, not just for the Essence payouts from Honor Capsules, but because it can help you build lasting friendships in-game.
Honor Capsules and Orbs
As part of incentivizing good community practices in League, those who earn a certain amount of honor are rewarded with Honor Capsules and Honor Orbs (the exact reward being dependent upon someone’s overall honor rank). These always either contain Blue Essence directly, or give you materials that can lead indirectly to acquiring more (such as Key or Champion Shards). You want to be earning these rewards as frequently as possible, so read on to find out how to rake in the honor points.
Honoring Your Team-Mates
Don’t forget to recognize your fellows for their efforts.
One of the surest ways to make sure that people honor you for your contributions to a good experience is by honoring them for theirs. Over time, you will start to build a reputation as someone who takes notice of the good in others, and they will look for the good in you. This is a subtle thing, but players who honor their team-mates more often tend to get accolades of their own much more often than those that don’t.
Check Your Baggage at The Door
Most people play League for two reasons: to have some fun, and to kick some [email protected]#. To make sure you don’t get penalized on the honor system, make sure that your interactions with your team-mates are focused on either improving the quality of the experience for others (greeting in queue, congratulating your team-mates on good plays), or on strategy to help win the match. QQing, toxic behavior towards the other team, or complaining about whatever stuff is going on in your real life is almost sure to bring people down.
Role Call
It all starts in the Matchmaker. Make sure that you take a quick moment to greet your team-mates, announce your chosen hero and spot (for example, “Garen, top”), and to throw out a good luck/have fun kind of message. People notice little things like this, and making this a consistent part of your pre-match routine will really help your honor ranking, and by extension, your ability to earn Essence quickly.
See Something, Say Something
So, you want to be a shot caller? Keep good communication with your team throughout a match. Notice that the enemy is overextended in your lane? Call for backup and set up a killer gank. Have a ward that lets you see an ally who is about to get jumped from behind? Warn them!
Keep Your Cool
Be like Lissandra; stay chill.
We’ve all been there; you get behind the eightball and get ganked three times running, or some clown with a big mouth won’t stop spouting toxic garbage in All Chat, but keeping a level head will pay all kinds of good dividends. Not only will it help you earn honor (and remember, honor means more Essence!) for being tilt-proof, but sometimes, this kind of attitude can make you a rallying point for other players on your team who may be having a hard time.
Conclusion
If you want to earn Blue Essence as fast as possible, just remember: play daily, don’t neglect your missions, disenchant everything that you don’t want or need for more, and rack up the honor points to get consistent, reliable rewards. Keep these tips in mind, and you’ll soon have all the champs you want, decked out in the coolest skins, and mastered fully. How to get blue essence fast in LoL
Every game has a currency for players to earn and use in-game. Riot Games’ version of that is League of Legends is blue essence.
There are two in-game currencies in League of Legends, that are called essences. These are the blue and orange essence, of which the blue variant is far more common and easier to acquire. How one earns that currency and how to best spend it you can find here.
What is Blue Essence
Blue Essence is one of the primary currencies used to unlock League of Legends content, the other being Riot Points and Orange Essence.
It was first released at the beginning of Season 2016 as a way to not spend Influence Points to unlock champions. It then replaced the older currency, the mentioned Influence Points, in League of Legends patch 7.22.
What can blue essence get you in League of Legends?
Blue Essence is the easiest currency in to earn in League of Legends. As such, while it may not get you the most premium content, you can use it to unlock the entire game, by purchasing new champions for example, and get yourself some quality of life improvements with the additional Masteries and Rune Pages.
Buying champions in LoL
There are two ways of purchasing champions in League of Legends. The more expensive one is buying them with Riot Points, while the more common one is buying champions with Blue Essence.
Buying champions outright, with Blue Essence, is the most straightforward way of acquiring new League of Legends champions. This is done by going into the in-game store, clicking on the portrait of a champion you wish to buy, and then being offered the option of using BE or RP to complete your purchase. The cheapest champions cost 450 Blue Essence, while the most expensive ones cost 6300. The price is based on how new a champion is to the game.
Aside from this, there is another option of getting champions in League of Legends, and that is by upgrading their champions shards. With each level up of your LoL account, you gain a champion capsule, which in turn contains a champion shard. The same goes for Hextech Chests which are awarded when you play really well, and require a hextech key to unlock. These champion shards offer you a 50% discount on their Blue Essence price, should you wish to permanently unlock that champion.
Buying additional Rune Pages
Blue Essence can help you with your ranked climb. After you’ve developed your own champion pool, and acquired the best champions, via champion shards or directly, the next step is purchasing additional rune pages. Runes in League of Legends are pre-game preparations to give your champion extra stats or items, and give yourself an edge at the game’s very beginning.
Runes in League of Legends can make or break a game. What made Jhin broken last season was the Dark Harvest rune, while this season Glacial Augment is making waves.
Making a Rune Page from scratch, while listening to that countdown in champion select can be difficult. To counteract that, and only have to make minimal changes, under the accessories tag in the League of Legends in-game store, you can buy additional Rune Pages for 6300 Blue Essence each.
Upgrading a Champion Mastery to level 6 and 7
Once you’ve set your mind on mastering a certain champion pool, it’s time to let the world know of your proficiency in playing them. Champion Mastery Levels in League of Legends indicate how good you are on a certain champion.
Until the fifth level of mastery on champions, you attain levels by playing the champions over and over again. For levels 6 and 7, you must earn an S-rank during a game with a champion, meaning you must have a near-perfect game, and use the Mastery token to unlock the next level of Mastery to flex on your opponents.
To upgrade your champion Mastery, you need to have two Mastery tokens on that champion, and pay 2450 Blue Essence or a champion shard to unlock it. Level 7 requires 3 Mastery tokens and 2950 Blue Essence.
Buying LoL skin Chromas for Blue Essence
Chromas in League of Legends are alternate color schemes for the best skins a certain champion has. These are usually reserved for higher-rated skins, those with Legendary and Epic ratings, and are priced in Riot Points exclusively.
During the Essence Emporium, however, a bi-annual event in League of Legends, all players are offered a choice of buying Chromas for certain champion skins, for a price in Blue Essence.
The latest Essence Emporium event was in December 2021, during which numerous skin Chromas were offered, such as those for Jayce’s best skins, and even those of Kai’sa.
Essence Emporium exclusive BE content
If you’re one of those players that avoid spending cash on video games as much as possible, it will be hard to get exclusive cosmetics in League of Legends for Blue Essence. However, it is definitely possible to buy League of Legends cosmetics during the Blue Essence Essence Emporium. Including, but not limited to, champion icons and ward skins. During this event, the UrfWick skin is for sale as well. This is the only LoL skin you can buy for Blue Essence, and it’s sold exclusively during the Essence Emporium event.
Sumoner Icons are, basically, the profile picture of your League of Legends account. To differentiate yourself from most of the others who are using the most common icons, awarded during their time playing the game, you can buy exclusive summoner icons for 2000 Blue Essence during the Essence Emporium event.
With event, two Essence Emporium-specific emotes are on sale for 50,000 and 75,000 Blue Essence each. Stockpiling Blue Essence you get from your Hextech Chests or Champion capsules, and spending them on chromas for the skins you’ve unlocked from the same Hextech Chests is the cheapest way to get some good cosmetics in League of Legends.
Changing your summoner name and MMR
Match Making Rating, or MMR, is a mechanic that determines the types of players your teammates and enemies will be, when creating a game of League of Legends. Depending on the way your matches have been going, Riot’s algorithm may just choose to pit you against stronger opponents, and give you weaker teammates, to balance out your win-streaks. This is called a Loser’s Queue, and the simplest way to get rid of it is by changing your Summoner Name.
The Summoner Name in League of Legends is the name displayed when playing the game itslef, and it differs from the name you use when logging into your Riot account. You can find this option in your League of Legends client, under the accessories tab, and it will set you back 13000 Blue Essence to do so. Still, it is far better than any player spending their Riot Points on it, that’s for sure. And it’s definitely worth the avoided lost lp.
How to best earn Blue Essence
The old Influence Points in League of Legends were a bit simpler to acquire than today’s Blue Essence. The most straightforward way of acquiring Blue Essence is, of course, by winning games. Every day, the first win of the day is awarded by 50 Blue Essence.
Winning League of Legends games gives more experience to the summoner LoL account, meaning that you level up faster. Starting from summoner level 5, champion capsules are awarded with every level up, and besides pure Blue Essence, contain champion shards that can be disenchanted to obtain Blue Essence as well. The most expensive League of Legends champions, when their champion shards get disenchanted, award up to 1560 Blue Essence.
Completing other missions, that are usually tied to events, award tokens. These can further be exchanged for Blue Essence with a rate of 1 Token for 10 Blue Essence. Not to mention the Hextech chests you receive with every new champion you get an S-rated game performance with.
Whether it’s expanding your champion pool with champion shards, or disenchanting them, using it to give yourself an edge in your ranked games, or stockpiling it while waiting for a perfect opportunity, League of Legends’ Blue Essence is a versatile currency, that can get you a lot of thins, in-game.
The only thing it cannot buy is the time you’ve spent grinding for it. But, then again, you were going to do that anyway.
Speaking of chromas for champion skins, the only way to prepare yourself for which ones to buy is by knowing what the best champion skins are, and you can find that information on our main hub.
