edit: oh I get it, you can probably get away with buying l4d2, getting the promo items and then refunding it, so long as steam support actually grants you the refund, it’s not a 100% guarantee especially if they suspect that this was your motive, and considering you made that thought public to this forum, I’d say it’s not a very clever idea

yeah if you’re refunding for dodgy reasons or refunding the same game multiple times, it’s a manual process and if steam support aren’t at work typically it can take till the next day to get a response

Alot of people have been asking alot of people that how do not alot of people get the golden frying pan?
This is a step by step tutorial on how to get it. Lets begin.
1) Launch TF2
2) Go in a pub server.
3) On voicechat or in chat, pray to Gabe Newell or simply Gaben.
4) If Gaben becomes to powerful, pray for a phlogistinator.
5) If it dosent, you’re okay.
6) Be sure to go to MvM, because thats where you’re gonna get it.
7) Buy 4 MVM tickets and do the Operation Two Cities Badge.
8) If you get alot of credits on the 1st mission, spend them on your normal pan. Be sure to do it on all 9 classes or it wont work. You can do 3 classes every new mission so you dont have to do it all in 1 mission.
9) Switch from the pan to your primary then to your secondary then back to pan and repeat that atleast 10 times.
10) Once you complete the 4th tour, there is a chance that you will get it. If you dont, do all the steps again and repeat it till you get it.
11) There you go! But it isnt over yet. You still need to thank gaben for the 2000 ref gift you got. You can thank him buy adding funds to your wallet, wasting funds from your wallet, buying stuff on the summer sale the 1st day it activates. Many different ways. Just be sure to involve money! I reccomend adding atleast 50$.

The trivia section states, «This is one of 8 items available through the purchase of another game, the others being the Big Kill, the Lugermorph, Bill’s Hat, the Alien Swarm Parasite, the Lumbricus Lid, Max’s Severed Head, and Ellis’ Cap.» However, the alien swarm parasite is is not obtainable through the purchase of another game. The trivia has a error. Alien swarm is a free game and not exactly purchased. Additionally you need to get a achievement.

The cooking surface
The cooking surface has *patches* of grease, not a *film* of grease. Film implies uniform distribution, while we can see that the model actually has the grease in random places. Shall i go ahead and edit it? Doomgiver 09:30, 4 November 2011 (PDT)
Randomly Drops (What!?)
TF2 stats is showing a nice percentage (1% to be exact) of Frying Pans are from random drops. Generally the distribution tag and TF2 Stats data is pretty accurate, so. uhhh. the Pan drops now? Unlike the Sticky and Rocket jumper, I’m going to hold off on making any changes to the page, but I guess it’s something to keep in mind and if someone sees one drop, by all means edit it in (the change would have been made on monday of last week). Soldier Taunt
I noticed that when Soldier taunts with this weapon, his hand is not in the correct position and it clips through the round part of the pan. He also smashes his head with it sideways instead of hitting himself with the flat part of the pan. Yuurg 04:23, 2 June 2012 (PDT)

Golden Pan
Today’s update added a Golden Frying Pan. I’m not sure how it’s obtained or if it functions differently than the regular Pan. I saw it at the end of the Mann Co. Catalog while looking for Australium weapons, but this was the only thing I saw. Platitudinous (talk) 17:56, 21 November 2013 (PST)
A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far Far Away
I seem to remember an inventory-related bug where if two classes had the frying pan equipped and you switch between them, you would use the other class’ stats sometime. For instance, equipping it on heavy and scout, my swing was slower, and the pan did the full 65 damage of other classes as a scout after switching from heavy. Frying Pan
(Mann-Conomy Update)
The Frying Pan is a promotional melee weapon for all classes with the exception of the Engineer and the Spy. It is based on the Frying Pan from the video game Left 4 Dead 2; a seasoned cast-iron skillet with a small dent on the underside.
This weapon functions identically to the wielder’s default melee weapon, but with an added cosmetic function: upon contact with a surface or player, it plays pan weapon sounds from Left 4 Dead 2.
Using Strange Bacon Grease on this item gives the user a Strange variant.
This item, together with Ellis’ Cap, is awarded to players who own Left 4 Dead 2.
The kill icon for the Frying Pan was contributed by Gaspar.

Does only 35 HP damage, but has a high probability to crit due to faster swing rate. When running low on health, find a safe spot to use Bonk and quickly find some health or go to a resupply locker. Pairing it with a full boost of the Baby Face Blaster makes it a good weapon to make a quick escape or rush at enemies. Never use Crit-a-cola as you can die in a second as soon as you take some damage.
Forget the Market Gardener, use the pan instead. Rocket jumping with Mantreads with a pan is another upgrade to the trolldier.
Degreaser works well as you will be able to switch weapons if half a second. Top it off with Reserve Shooter to switch in a flash.
For all-out melee only, use Bootlegger/Ali Wee Booties for +25 extra health, use Chargin Targe or Splendid Screen for speed boost and explosive/fire resistance, and you got the deadly Demopan here. The Tide Turner is the best shield to use here, as you have full turn control and if you get a kill during a charge, you can charge again. Use Sticky Jumper as the demo version of the trolldier.
Your speed is the main disadvantage, so use the Buffalo Steak Sandvich for that extra speed boost and dealing mini-crits, but be careful when taking damage as you take 25% more damage. As soon as you leave spawn, throw that BSS on the ground and touch the resupply locker, then stand on top of the dropped BSS and eat, you now have another piece of steak in reserve w/out stealing health kits.
For a speed boost, use the Overdose. The Quick-fix is the best medigun to fill up the Ubercharge. The speed boost only works if the Overdose is equipped.
Use Jarate, not much to say here. Don’t even bother using Razorback, Danger shield, or Cozy camper if you really want to weaken yourself.
