Not yet. If you guys can get Odin to flash things, then I think it can be done though.
I got this phone from someone else and he had it for more then 2 months now. I understand that for Xiaomi, u need to wait for certain period of time before you could flash it, does Samsung have it too? I tried the powered off, hold down Vol up and down + power button, but nothing happened for me. Is there a way to extract the bootloader.img for you to inspect?
Thanks dude for checking out!

Yes. You should be able to find it inside the «BL» tar of your firmware I believe. I can read it with a hex editor if you can grab it.

I had a really hard time doing this, and the fact that I had a romanian phone, did not help, since apparently it used a modified version of the greek cosmote firmware. So I somehow managed to replace my stock firmware with the original greek one, which is basically the same, except it boots in greek. Odin patch for anything other than that always failed and half-bricked my phone. Then I read up on the issue in this forum, and it helped me a bit: it is absolutely not enough to unlock the bootloader for this model from the software, you have to do the volume up+down+connect cable thing. That enabled me to patch other stuff too successfully, the problem now is that I can’t really find a good firmware to actually put on it, and that would boot, or at least let me go into recovery mode, without bootloader or startup error loop. So this is the phase I’m currently stuck on. I’m downloading a (supposedly) romanian firmware from sammobile now, hoping that if I retry with Magisk and the original firmware, it will work out, but if it doesn’t, I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to root. Well, unless the Magisk developers take pity on us to somehow magic it, and then somebody actually compiles twrp for this model. I’ll come back, hopefully in a few hours, to report on my final failure (or success, but no high hopes).
Edit: Yup, now it’s just weird. I managed to load the magisk patched AP. Yet nothing changed, Magisk still says it’s not installed, it’s just like stock ROM. I couldn’t flash any TWRP currently available now, so for now I’d say this is impossible.

Hey everyone,
I was able to unlock the bootloader on my SM-A105M.
Then I followed the instructions on rootmydevice and androidinfotech (cant post the actual links) to flash the TWRP Recovery with Odin.
Odin showed me a success message when flashing the image.
..unfortunately since then I cannot boot my phone anymore. When booting, it directly goes into download mode and there is a red error message at the top:
Recovery: Error validating footer.
CUSTOM RECOVERY
VBMETA A105MUBU3ASG2, 24893800R
I can still connect with Odin as the phone only works in download mode now. I tried flashing the TWRP image again and again, but the same problem remains.
Anyone got ideas how to fix this problem?

I managed to work it out!
Turns out you don’t need TWRP, Magisk guide works fine, the most important thing being the stock firmware you use: you HAVE TO get the one your phone shipped with originally. After a few days of flashing different firmwares and finally getting the original Vodafone Romania firmware, it was basically a cakewalk. As I said, you don’t need TWRP, nor is there a version for this phone actually, so it’s irrelevant either way. Just follow Magisk’s official guide, with the addendum that you need to unlock the bootloader as described in this thread, not just from software. Download the specific firmware from sammobile, it gives the most options for a specific phone. I am super happy right now with my rooted SM-A105FN
Edit: I managed to find the exact guide I’ve followed, unfortunately I can’t post links under 10 posts, but it’s at a site called Recovery-Mode, just search for the specific SM-A105?? phone you have, they have it all. Should be titled «How to Root Samsung Galaxy A10 SM-A105?? without TWRP». Good luck
