Introduction

If you’ve been following along with the posts on whiteknightrises.com, you’ll know that I don’t believe in pickup artist BS like “game“.

To me, having game = getting laid and one of the key components to that is looking good.

Looks definitely matter and one of the most (if not most) important parts of your Looks is your Face.

There are a lot of things you can do to improve your facial appearance, such as get rid of acne (if you have it).

Another thing you should know is how to get a jawline (if you don’t have one).

If you look at any male model, actor, or any other person who is seen as sexually desired by females, they almost always have a chiseled jawline.

Lose Body Fat

Something that will help you get that model jawline is simply losing body fat.

I could go into why that works but instead, let me just show you some pictures:

As you can see, losing body fat not only slims down that waistline but gives you a stronger jawline as well.

If you’ve never been lean – low teens (10-14%) in body fat percentage or lower (can see your abs if you flex and maybe even when you don’t), you have yet to realize your full facial attractiveness.

And no – there is no way to lose fat on just your face (when you lose fat, you lose fat everywhere).

The easiest way to lose body fat is this:

Consume Less Carbohydrates and Salt

Even if you get down to a relatively low body fat, your jawline might not look as good as you want because your face is bloated from consuming too many carbohydrates and/or salt (aka sodium).

This is because both carbohydrates* and salt increase water retention, making your face (and other parts of you) look bloated.

Earlier I mentioned that eliminating carbohydrates altogether is even better for fat loss than just eliminating sugar alone (sugar is a type of carbohydrate).

This is because if you don’t consume carbohydrates, it is physically impossible to put on fat because instead of burning carbs for energy, your body starts to burn fat (this is the basis for no/low-carb and keto diets).

However, like I said, eliminating carbs can be tough because it’ll make it difficult to do things like eat out with friends, drink, etc.

Getting rid of sugar is much more doable.

As for salt, don’t add (too much) of it to foods and try your best to avoid things with lots of salt like fast food, packaged foods (e.g. microwavable meals), canned food, sauces, crackers, salted nuts, and so on.

Drink Lots of Water

This may be a bit counter-intuitive since I just talked about water retention from carbs and sodium but drinking water can also reduce the bloated or puffy face effect.

This is because if you’re dehydrated, your body will retain water to prevent further dehydration.

This magic, and often free, drink will solve a lot of your problems

Therefore, aim for 1 gallon+ (

4 liters+) of water a day.

Take Dandelion Root (Temporary)

This is more of a temporary solution but taking dandelion root could help make your jawline look better.

This is because dandelion root is a strong (and natural) diuretic (makes your body get rid of more water, such as on your face).

Although dandelion root is natural, I wouldn’t recommend taking it regularly as it’s a pretty potent diuretic.

Use it more for special events* where you want your jawline to be especially chiseled like going out, a date, taking pictures for online dating, etc. For example, take 1 pill the night before with lots of water, 1 pill the morning of or a few hours before with a decent amount of water, and then 1 pill right before with a little water.

* If you do any of the above things a lot (and they aren’t “special events”), limit the usage of dandelion root and other “water pills” to once or twice a week.

Also, don’t take dandelion root (or any other diuretic) if you’re using a creatine supplement. Creatine redirects fluids like water into the muscles. Thus, taking a diuretic (flushes out water) kind of defeats the purpose of taking creatine.

How to Get a Jawline In Pictures (Camera Trick)

This is for when you’re taking pictures but basically just extend your neck forward for the “illusion” of a better jawline.

(Don’t overdo it to the point that it becomes obvious though).

At around the 7-minute mark in the video you can see some examples.

Consider Growing Facial Hair

If the above suggestions don’t work, it means that your face shape/bone structure is not one that produces a strong jawline (even at low body fat, low water retention, etc).

To overcome this, consider growing facial hair (basically your facial hair “becomes your jawline”).

I personally would’ve trimmed the beard closer to his face (and changed the hairstyle), but you can see that with facial hair, you can hide a weak jawline and/or make it look like you have a decent one.

If you can’t grow facial hair, consider using minoxidil on your face twice a day: once upon waking up, and once before bed. For results, check out Reddit, Minox Beard Spot, or this 1 year minoxidil log from GoodLookingLoser forum.

Plastic Surgery (Last Resort)

The last way to get a better jawline is plastic surgery.

This is only if your face is naturally and significantly below average like below:

If this guy had never gotten work done on his face, he probably would have had no chance with the ladies and generally not been respected by society (fact).

While the guy’s jawline isn’t super strong, his “after” jawline (and face overall) are a significant improvement from pre-surgery.

However, this kind of procedure is really a last resort, and I think most people reading this are going to be fine with stuff like losing body fat, consuming less carbs and salt, drinking more water, taking dandelion root, and growing facial hair.

Obviously, the guy in the pic kind of needed plastic surgery because he would’ve been fighting an extremely uphill battle otherwise.

Nonsurgical stuff like Botox, fillers, etc. are also going to be unnecessary for most people (not cursed with extremely bad looks and/or facial structure).

5 Steps to Maximise Your Chewing Gum Jawline Results

1. Chew on Both Sides

You don’t want an asymmetrical jawline. Make sure you exercise each side of your jaw equally to prevent neck pain in your neck muscles.

Some people unconsciously chew with their dominant side their entire life. Make sure to chew consciously to avoid your jaw clenching and muscle growing larger on only one side.

2. Rest, So Your Jaw Can Grow

Gym junkies will tell you that your muscles grow when you’re resting. Same for your jaw muscles.

Don’t workout your jaw with chewing gum for more than 1-2 hours per a day. Start with 20 minutes a day.

You may get tempted to chew gum all day: «more chewing = more muscle!». But too much chewing could lead to Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ). You don’t want that, so take it easy.

If you’re chewing Mastic Gum, then 1 hour a day is TOO MUCH for beginners. Mastic gum is like HEAVY deadlifts for your jaw. It’s extremely tiring for your jaw and neck muscles.

3. Stretch To Avoid Tight Jaw Muscles

Stretching is a good idea for maintaining the flexibility of your muscles, to help avoid jaw pain, jaw clenching problems and prevent neck strain.

Stretch your facial muscles and neck muscles (all the way to your collarbone) after every jawline workout.

4. Add More Weight

You wouldn’t expect and 1 hour of running to build muscle in your legs. Same for your jawline exercises: 1 hour of chewing isn’t the best way. You need to add weight to your workout.

Heavy squats will build muscle 100x faster than long distance running. So how do you «go heavy» for your masseter muscles? You chew harder gums like mastic or jawline gum.

5. Give It 3-6 Months

Go to the gym for 2 months and you won’t look like The Rock, right? Building muscle takes time. Some muscles, like the chest, grow easier than others.

The muscles of the jaw don’t grow quickly. They’re extremely resilient and need a lot of excessive load.

Slimming down is the fastest way to improve your jaw definition. Nothing else comes close. Most people already have halfway decent jawlines, they’re just hidden by a layer of fat.

That’s why slimming is step #3. By mewing and chewing, you’ve built a sharp, chiseled jawline. Now you’ve just got to uncover it by following a healthy diet, consuming less salt and shedding excess fat.

Of course not. The whole part of having a 6-pack is being lean enough to see the muscle. IT’S THE SAME WITH YOUR JAWLINE.

Please DO NOT underestimate the effect that losing weight can have on your jawline. Losing weight is hard. It’s not fun. But it WORKS.

Diet vs Exercise For Weight Loss

It’s SO MUCH EASIER to lose weight when you aren’t hungry. Starving yourself just makes you feel like sh** and you just end up binging anyway. It’s not sustainable, and it doesn’t work either.

Exercise vs Diet

When you want to burn off your belly: should you exercise more? Or eat healthy? Which is easier, more effective and more sustainable?

Diet. But you shouldn’t think of it as a «diet». To me that word sounds temporary. You’re looking for something you can do forever (or at least for a few months) and feel fantastic at the same time.

It takes a lot more exercise to burn calories than you think

Run 5 Miles or Not Eat That Slice of Carrot Cake?

To burn off the calories from 1 slice of carrot cake you’d have to 5 miles. That’s crazy 😜.

Which is easier? Running 5 miles might take 1 hour. How long does it take to not eat a piece of cake? 1 second?

That’s why diet is 10x more important than exercise when you’re trying to shed pounds. It is so much more time efficient and it actually works better anyway.

You should still exercise of course. It’s an essential part of health: increasing your blood flow and sweating out toxins.

«Ok man, I get that. But it’s hard to resist food. I get hungry. I get cravings. Sometimes I eat a whole bunch of things before I even realise what I’m doing 😅»

I’m the same. So I created some dieting rules that mean you never need to feel hungry. Let’s check them out.

How to Lose Weight WITHOUT Being Hungry

F ollow the 5 rules below. and you can eat as much as you want. Seriously, you never have to be hungry or feel guilty. The fat will just melt off.

Some preparation and planning is needed though. Otherwise you’ll fall back on your bad habits. Make sure you read the section below the 5 rules.

🍞 Rule #1: Avoid refined carbs

All bread, rice (even brown rice), cereal, potatoes, pasta, tortillas, grains and fried food with bread.

🧃 Rule #3: Don’t drink calories.

Drinking water is fine- drink as much as you want. Don’t be afraid to drink unsweetened tea or black coffee as well.

But remember that they dehydrate you, so try to limit it. I drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning and 1 cup of tea in the afternoon.

Do not drink milk (any type of milk), soft drinks, or fruit juice. These are high sugar, high insulin and don’t keep you full AT ALL = bad choice.

Sugar-free soda is a no go. It is counter-productive for your gut bacteria, which is crucial for regulating your body’s fat stores. No alcohol either.

🥝 Rule #4: Don’t eat fruit

Tomatoes and avocados are the only exceptions. But don’t have too much of them either. I know a lot of people frown when they hear this rule — how can fruits be bad for you?

They aren’t bad for you. But that doesn’t mean they help you lose weight. They’re loaded with fructose, which is a form of sugar that spikes your insulin.

Taking your body out of «fat-burning mode». Only eat fruit on your cheat day.

🍔🥤🤤 Rule #5: Take one day off per week.

Saturday usually works the best! You need to have a day to indulge and reset your discipline clock. Once a week (Saturday) I eat burgers, fries, pizza candy- whatever refined carbs, sugar or fats I want.

But make sure your cheat day doesn’t sneak into a «cheat weekend». Too many people diet during the week and binge during the weekend. If you’re serious, eat garbage one day only.

💤 🛏 Rule #6: Get Enough Sleep

Give your body the rest it needs to process the fat it is burning. Sleeping feels lazy and counterproductive. but it’s when you’re sleeping that your body is actually building muscle and getting rid of your excess fat.

Make sure to get enough sleep if you want to slim down and see your defined jawline.

Food Preparation & Planning

O bviously you’ll lose weight if you follow any diet. The hard part is following it!

This diet or «eating plan» is designed to be easy to stick. But I want to make it as easy as possible for you and I’ve got a few tricks to help.

🫖 Green Tea Extract it contains a whole bunch of catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate. Studies have that they increase fat oxidisation in humans- making it easier to burn it off. Drink green tea or get some epicatechin supplements.

🧊 Cold Showers stimulates Brown Adipose Tissue to burn fat and glucose as heat. In other words, it burns stubborn fat. It’s also a great way to wake up and boost your metabolism for the rest of the day.

SUMMARY:

Mewing will make your facial musculature stronger and nose breathing will result in better oxygen absorption. Mewing is the cure for overbites, weak chins and double chins.

Your jaw muscles can grow just like any other muscle. Get a molar-based jaw trainer or some hard chewing gum.

Make all your mewing and chewing work visible by losing fat on your face. Learn about insulin management and the slow carb diet. Don’t rely on cardio to reduce your body fat.

“The jaw bones were similar in children before they were old enough to start chewing, however different in adulthood, which implies that this divergence is likely a functional result of their diet and the use of their jaw, rather than genetics. Genetics creates a blueprint of the bone, but a lot of things influence the bone’s construction,” says Holmes.

“Mechanical pressure from muscle stress and strain from day-to-day activities can remodel the bone’s surface and internal structure. Knowing how much the shape of a mandible we find is related to diet and how much genetically connects it to fossils found elsewhere can really help us parse out the family tree.”

The most immediate of these three is the jawline exercises, which I’ll talk about in a second. The other two work well, but take time.

A lot of articles have tons of different crazy jawline exercises, but in my experience, simply chewing mastic gum is enough to get a good jaw.

After browsing around on the internet for hours and hours, I finally stumbled upon this weird trick that a small group of men had been using to get more chiseled jawlines.

When I first saw it I was kind of weirded out, but I decided to look deeper.

I found out that a ton of these dudes were using something called “mastic gum,” to get a more chiseled jawline.

Obviously I was a bit skeptical, but the guys had before/after pictures that were pretty impressive. So, I looked a bit deeper and did some research.

What is Mastic Gum?

Mastic gum is basically sap from a tree indigenous to Chios (an island in the Mediterranean), and apparently it’s actually pretty big over there.

Who knows, maybe that’s why Greeks all seem to have chiseled jawlines.

…and as it turns out, when you decide to start chewing mastic gum, it develops your jawline to an unnatural degree.

Like, to the point that it looks like you’ve gotten plastic surgery.

Regardless, it’s about 10x harder to chew than regular chewing gum, so it grows your jaw muscles like crazy.

I noticed a huge difference in my jawline after just a couple weeks of chewing this stuff every day.

All you do is take the mastic gum out, put a little bit in your mouth, and start chewing it over and over for as long as you can comfortably.

Here’s how to use mastic gum for a better jawline:

When you throw it in your mouth and chew it, the sap will crunch into a million tiny pieces—this is normal.

Eventually, the sap will get crushed together and form a really dense, thick rubber-like substance. Again, this is totally normal.

If you aren’t an experienced gum chewer, your jawline will probably be sore within 5 minutes, or even under a minute.

This is good—it means your jaw muscles are growing.

Over the next week slowly start increasing the time. You want to do it gradually however, so you don’t over train your jaw muscles.

Just start chewing what you can handle and slowly work your way up.

You’ll start to notice that your jawline will become more developed very quickly, probably in just under a couple of weeks.

Step #2 – Lower Body Fat

This is probably the most obvious thing that you can do to get a chiseled jawline, and yet somehow nobody talks about it.

Getting a chiseled jawline means having low enough bodyfat so that your jawline and cheekbones can show.

If you want to get a chiseled jawline, you need to get your bodyfat down pretty damn low. Ideally it should be below 8%.

Doing this is actually pretty simple if you know how.

It isn’t rocket science, although it can seem like it to people who haven’t ever been in good shape before.

Generally speaking, there’s two ways to lose fat:

For dieting, I recommend you simply count your calories and do some form of intermittent fasting. This is like rocket fuel for fat burning.

The important thing is to stay consistent, though. You’re not going to burn off pounds of fat overnight. It’s going to take time, plain and simple.

If you really want to take things to the next level, you can consider getting on an ECA stack to lose an extra pound or two, though.

As for the workout routine, there’s a ton of workout routines out there, ranging from Mark Rippetoe’s Starting Strength to paid routines such as mine, but it will all depend on your individual goals.

Step #3 – Boost Testosterone

The reason why women find chiseled jawlines so attractive, is because they’re an indicator of being a high testosterone alpha male.

Women are genetically pre-disposed to be attracted to high testosterone men, because those are the type of men that can protect them.

In other words, having high testosterone gives you a chiseled jawline.

This is why a lot of guys who take steroids often report growing a more chiseled jawline. This is what high testosterone does for you.
