How to Get Scizor in “Pokemon SoulSilver” without Trading. Speak to the sailor at the docks to board the S.S. Aqua. Enter the captain’s cabin to find a little girl. To evolve to Scizor, a Scyther needs to be holding a metal coat and be traded, just like ever since Scizor was introduced in generation two.
To get a. You dont. Get a game shark or game genie. That would be the only way to obtain one.
Scizors not even that good though, you arent missing much. You have to trade while scyther is holding a metal coat trade it back and you got yourself a scizor Guest answered: Added 18th Apr 2018, ID #696174 That means you can’t get scyther if you have no friends. The user confounds the foe with speed, then slashes. The attack lands without fail.

TM44: Rest. re: evolve without trade in soul silver I just tried it on soul silver it does work but it is tough to find a decent trade you don’t care about to get it to work.
Scrapy. with a small change for the ROM otself, you can evolve all your pokemon directly through level up or holding itmes with no need to trade. This sounds great for playing on pc emulators. This works for heartgold and soulsilver mainly.
It also runs on pearl, diamond and platinum but I didn’t try. WHAT’S GOOD YOUTUBE?! Watup. Today I have another episode of my next Pokémon LP, Soul Silver!! I’m really excited to be doing this LP so I hope you.
Scizor. It is much easier to get, with the Bug Catching contest available for use, and getting a Metal Coat later in the game. Houndoom is much harder to get, being found only in Kanto and at night. I’ve spent hours trying to find a Houndour on the correct Route (7) and at night. No luck.
Plus Scizor resists Ghost in Gen 4, so Morty won’t be a. Some of them have to hold items while trading for them to evolve, Like Feebas to Milotic or Scyther to Scizor. The only ones who don’t have to are Kadabra, Machoke, Haunter, Boldore, Phantump, and Graveler EDIT: It’s 13, or 14 in this since.
I forgot Porygon and Porygon 2, and they both need items held while trading to evolve. Without a way to trade, you cannot Evolve Kadabra, Haunter, Machoke, Graveler, Seadra, Porygon, Scyther, Onix, Poliwhirl (to Politoed), Slowpoke (to Slowking. The game does not have to be beaten for this to work.
At any time in any point of the game (after certain requirements like the one you stated) you can access the trading rooms. But the best advice to give is to trade only when you have enough pokemon (about 6) – Scribblenautical Jun 17 ’14 at 20:09.
List of related literature:
Catch the former in Route 1 or from the Wi-Fi event gift, and the latter in Poni Plains.
If you have no friends, you can still use the PSS to trade Pokémon via the GTS (Global Trade Station), where you can seek out trade requests or submit your own trade request, then wait until it’s fulfilled by another player.
Trade Lillipup at Route 5 Pokemon Center.
by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, Paul D’Andrea
Dramatic Publishing, 2005
If you make the trade, you’ll then be able to battle her afterwards, taking on the Excadrill that you just traded.
The easiest way is probably via Route 7, coming from Celadon City.
Leave Driftveil to the north-west, back into Route 6.
How to evolve trade Pokemon without Trading in Arceus
Pokemon Legends: Arceus (PLA) is a brand new way to play Pokemon, and with this unique look on the franchise you will find that certain things have been streamlined. One of the old carryovers from previous Pokemon have been certain pocket monsters that require you to trade them to evolve. Well, while this can still be done in the game, you have an additional option now that is much easier and doesn’t require a second player! We’ll tell you all about the Trading Link item in this guide!
Evolving Trade Pokemon
There’s a pretty well-known list of Pokemon that can only evolved when they are traded to another player. This isn’t the most difficult thing in the world, but you might not have a friend who plays the game or even play online! If this is you, then you can celebrate because in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, you can evolve these Pokemon without trading!
The item in question is known as the Linking Cord. This item can be obtained in the game by turning in Merit Points, and can then be used on a Pokemon that will only evolve by trade. Once you use the item on that Pokemon, it will then evolve into the next phase of its evolution!
The Pokemon that can evolve by trading or Linking Cord are:
Keep in mind that you still can evolve these Pokemon by trading them if you don’t want to spend Merit Points! This is more of an option for players without internet.
There are also Pokemon that must be holding an item and then be trading. This has also been streamlined, you just need the item now, and can use it on the Pokemon and it will evolve.
The Pokemon that can evolve by trading and must be holding an item are:
How to get the Linking Cord
The Linking Cord item can be obtained in Pokemon Legends: Arceus by spending 1,000 Merit Points at the Merit Shop in Jubilee Village. You can get Merit Points for returning lost satchels to NPCs in the game. This will reward you between 50 – 100 Merit Points per satchel you turn in.
The Merit Vendor Shop is run by an NPC named Simona. She is very close to the Galaxy Hall, and you will recognize the vendor when you see the yellow flag with Togepi on it.
Additionally, if you don’t want to spend Merit Points on the Linking Cord, you can complete a quest from an NPC to get one. Here’s a look at a video that will walk you through completing it:
That’s everything you need to know about the Trading Link item in Pokemon Legends: Arceus! You will find a variety of informative content on the game in the Pokemon Arceus section of our website.

Trading has always been one of the most important mechanics in practically every Pokemon video game to date. This is because trading is the only to make certain Pokemon evolve. However, while it can undoubtedly be fun to trade Pokemon with your friends, several problems can arise from this. The biggest one is – what to do if none of your friends have also bought the same Pokemon game as you have. Luckily, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has finally managed to solve this issue. In this Get Trade Evolutions Without Trading Pokemon Legends Arceus guide, we will be taking a look at how this change works.
How to Get Trade Evolutions Without Trading in Pokemon Legends Arceus
Now, this is a considerably different process than Trading Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. In fact, to get trade evolutions without trading, all you need is a specific item. The item in question is the Linking Cord. There are two ways to obtain this item. You can either get it by turning in Merit Points at the Trading Post in Jubilife Village, or by completing the “Getting to Know Ghosts” Request, for which you will receive the Linking Cord as a reward.
The Linking Cord works just like trading for the purposes of evolving a Pokemon. Here is a list of all the Pokemon that you can use the Linking Cord on to evolve: Graveler (evolves into Golem), Kadabra (evolves into Alakazam), Haunter (evolves into Gengar), and Machop (evolves into Machoke). To do this, select this item and then one of these Pokemon to use it on, and they will then evolve. Note that having a Linking Cord in your possession does not prohibit you from trading Pokemon to get them to evolve the old-fashioned way. It’s simply a new method that you can also use if you currently don’t have access to anyone that you can trade with.
How to evolve Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a totally new approach to Pokemon, and you will find quite a few differences with the game as you play it. One of these things might be how to evolve your leveled up Pokemon. This normally happens automatically in most generations of the game, but that’s not the case with this one. If you want to get one of your team to the next level, we’ll show you how in this guide.
If you want get some shiny Pokemon, be sure to check out our Pokemon Legends: Arceus Shiny Guide!
Evolving Pokemon
To evolve your Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, you will need to first level them up enough so that they meet the basic requirements for evolving into their next phase. Once that has been met, you can then open up your Satchel by pressing UP on the D-Pad, navigating to the Pokemon you want to evolve, and pressing the X-button to start the process.
When you open up your Satchel, you might need to scroll to the left or the right by using the ZL and ZR buttons which are the triggers on your controller. Once you are at the menu that shows your items and current Pokemon team, move your cursor to the Pokemon who has a flashing yellow PokeBall. When you select them, it should show an Evolve prompt at the top of the list, showing you to press the X-Button.
Once you press the button, your Pokemon will go through the evolution process and transform.
This demonstrates how you would do it if the Pokemon evolves by leveling up. There are other Pokemon that require items and evolution stones to transform. To do these, you will need to obtain the item, select it and then select the Pokemon you want to use it on. As long as all of the parameters are met, they will transform into the new evolution.
Eevee in particular is a Pokemon that has many different evolutions. Most use evolution stones, but some are a bit more tricky. You can check out this video guide to learn more about them.
If your Pokemon requires a trade to evolve, you can still do it that way, but you can also get the Linking Cord item from the Merit Points vendor. You can learn more about that on our How to Evolve Trade Pokemon Without Trading Guide. The Merit Points vendor also has all of the evolution items you’ll need for things like Magmarizer for Magmar to Magmortar and Electirizer for Electabuzz to Electivire.
That’s everything you need to know about evolving in Pokemon Legends: Arceus! You will find a variety of informative content on the game in the Pokemon Arceus section of our website.
Pokemon Go Trade Evolutions: How It Works And Which Pokemon Evolve By Trading
There’s a new way to evolve certain monsters in Pokemon Go.
By Kevin Knezevic on February 4, 2020 at 7:30AM PST
Pokemon Go has introduced a new way to evolve certain Pokemon. Just as in the mainline series, you can now evolve some Pokemon by trading them to a friend. However, this works a little differently than it does in a traditional Pokemon game, so we’ve put together this explainer detailing how to evolve Pokemon through trading in Go.
How To Evolve Pokemon By Trading
In mainline Pokemon games, a handful of monsters can only be evolved by trading them to another player, but in Pokemon Go, these creatures could be evolved the same way as most other Pokemon: by feeding them a set amount of Candy. Now, however, there’s an alternate method of evolving them: if you receive an eligible Pokemon through a trade, its Candy requirement will be completely removed, essentially allowing you to evolve it for free.

While this new evolution method has only been recently added to Pokemon Go, it retroactively applies to past traded Pokemon. That means if you’ve previously received one of the eligible Pokemon through a trade, its Candy requirement to evolve will also be removed.
Which Pokemon Evolve By Trading?
The new trade evolution method applies to the same Pokemon that evolve by trading in the mainline games:
In the main series, a handful of other Pokemon—such as Scyther and Onix—also evolve by trading if they’re holding certain items, but their evolution method in Pokemon Go has not been changed, so you cannot trade for a Scyther and then evolve it into Scizor without spending any Candy; only the Pokemon listed above will have their Candy requirement removed if obtained through a trade.
Boldore, Gurdurr, Karrablast, and Shelmet are among the newest Gen 5 Pokemon to arrive in the game. However, a handful of other Gen 5 Pokemon can only evolve using a new item called the Unova Stone. You can read more about how to obtain one of those and which Pokemon it works on in our Unova Stone guide.
