Appearance
Nishagora has the appearence of a bulky cat-like creature, sporting a set of sharp teeth, and a horn-like growth on the right side of her head. One of her eyes has a darkened coloring in both retina and pupil. In the upper section of her face, she has various metal-like filter pieces. Her delver attire consists out of a small short-sleeved overcoat which leaves her entire stomach region exposed and only covers parts of her breasts. [1]
Her belly is adorned with, what appears to be, markings. She also has various belt-like parts attached to her and her pants sport multiple pockets. She wears gloves on her hands with the right one having a crossbow-like Artifact attached to it while the left one has a shield-like Artifact attached. [1]
Personality
Nishagora was shown to express herself in a threatening way and using bravado in order to intimidate Tepasté. She also had no qualms to think of various ways to torture out information from Tepasté if needed. [1] However, she is also shown to have a softer nature when not trying to be intimidating or angered. [2]
Despite her high rank she is not particularly bright and has to keep important instructions scribbled on her arms to not forget them. She also tends to shut down completely when a discussion flies above her head or she gets lost in thought. [3]
History
Curse Fleet Arc
While Tepasté is running through the 6 th layer, while worrying about Cravali, this is quickly interrupted by their pursuer, a member of Hail Hex, Nishagora, catching up with her and threatening to torture her for information as she suspects Tepasté to be one of the «shrine maiden’s underlings». [1]
A short exchange between the two follows in which Tepasté tries to attack Nishagora with a Kunai-like relic, which is blocked, and begins charging up a gun-like relic while retorting to Nishagora that she won’t be able to talk if the torture includes breaking her jaw to which Nishagora simply replies after a short moment of thinking that she will just have her write it down then. [1]
After Riko’s group had triggered a trap set by Hail Hex, Faputa takes notice of two pressences stacked on top of each other approaching. Shortly after, Nishagora]] and Tepasté emerge from a section. In a brief moment of all characters taking note of each other, Nishagora notices Riko’s whistle and gets enraged by assuming Riko’s group must be underlings of the «Shrine Maiden.» [4]
Tepasté tries to disarm the situation by noting she has no idea who these children are but by Riko stating she is Lyza’s daughter Nishagora becomes angry again as she knows Lyza’s daughter was stillborn. Only with further explanation, and mention of the Curse-Warding Box she calms down, begins to note names of people she is reminded of by Riko’s ciricumstances, before seemingly becoming lost in thought. [5]
After becoming active again, she decides to take Riko’s group to her boss if they want to follow her and Tepasté. Upon the reveal her boss is a White Whistle Delver, Riko immidiately wants to tag along and the rest of the group follows. Before they start following Nishagora, Nanachi thinks of what possibly led to the reaction Nishagora had after seeing Riko’s white whistle. After some thinking, involving how all revealed White Whistles apart from Riko are relatively known in shape to an extent, only Riko’s whistle has an origin of taking its form that Nanachi assumes only Riko’s group, and possibly Bondrewd by peering into Nanachi’s vision, knows about. [6]
As such, she theorizes they are possibly looking for a white whistle of a never seen before shape with even its name being unknown. As the group travels, Riko and Co. theorize about the Shrine Maiden as it is something mentioned in Orth’s fairy tales and in Hariyomari’s song. During their further travel, Nishagora also asks them if they believe in souls to which Nanachi states she wants to believe in the existence of souls. Faputa however flat out confirms the existence of souls and states even layered creatures like Nishagora and Tepasté have them. [7]
Soon after, the group arrives at the outpost of Hail Hex in the 6 th layer. As they enter it, they are greeted by a member of Hail Hex who welcomes them. Inside the outpost, Nanachi marvels at the amount of equipment and shortly afterwards they are addressed by the boss of Hail Hex who is cooking food in a big pot. As the conversation progresses this boss tells them that the goal of Hail Hex is to reach the deepest depths of the Abyss and asks what Riko’s goal is. [8]
As Riko counts in her mind the many goals she and her group still has she says there’s quite a lot. After hearing that, the boss of Hail Hex introduces the Curse Fleet Delver Troupe, Hail Hex, and afterwards herself as Captain of it, Srajo. She praises Riko and shows recognition as White Whistle. However, she also notes that they will have to but Riko through her paces first. [9]
Abilities
Combat Skills
Nishagora was shown to damage the ground when she caught up to Tepasté as well as easily deflecting the Kunai-like weapon Tepasté threw at her. [1]
Trapmaking
Nishagora seems to able to make complex, multi-layered traps incorporating things like nets, explosives and stink bombs. [10]

His methods went against all the ethical principles of Delvers, but he was allowed to continue due to his outstanding results. Ten years ago, he did the unthinkable by establishing a large base named the Ido Front in the deepest area within the 5 th layer of the Abyss, as well as securing a route to the then-inviolable 6 th layer. [2]
Contents
Appearance
Bondrewd is a tall man sporting mostly black clothing, with a long coat and a suit. [3] He always covers his face with a black helmet which includes a gap in the middle where violet light shines through. His second body also has a lizard-like tail, which originates from the Artifact Third Works. [4]
His White Whistle is sculpted into the shape of two identical hands clasped together, and is used by rubbing it instead of blowing air into it. [4] [5]
Personality
Bondrewd is a man who values knowledge above else, even in the wake of whatever moral issues that may occur from his actions. He is willing to sacrifice anyone and everyone in the pursuit of it, not out of malice but because he feels that they need to be prepared for whatever will come as the next 2,000-year period approaches. [6] [7] He remembers the names of each of the individuals he has sacrificed to that point, seeing it as a necessity. [8]
He doesn’t show hostility to those he faces. Rather, he praises them if they manage to get the advantage over him. [9] Despite his methods, he is quite a capable father. [10]
History
Spoiler warning : The following section contains spoilers. Read with caution.
Dreadful Experimentation Flashback Arc
At some point in the past, Bondrewd was responsible for some unclear criminal offense in a foreign country and a bounty was placed for his head. Regardless of this, he became a Delver and did anything he could to obtain funds for his research into the Abyss, selling drugs made through human experiments on the black market, selling Artifacts and relics illegally, and many other questionable acts. Some bounty hunters would show up to claim his head, but they would all disappear, and eventually, no one would approach him out of fear. [11]
Fifteen years ago, he managed to steal the Special Grade Artifact, Zoaholic, and used it to spread his consciousness on multiple bodies, creating the Umbra Hands (fan translation: Praying Hands). [12] Five years later, the achievement that earned him the rank of a White Whistle Delver was made: Probably after years of work, he established a large operating base in the 5 th layer and secured a passage to the 6 th layer using an ancient altar of the past. [11] When he became a White Whistle Delver, he used his original body as the material for the Life Reverberating Stone necessary to make the whistle, becoming his very own whistle himself. [13]
Since then, Bondrewd became nothing but a soul moving between bodies with the use of the Zoaholic. Despite this, his pursuit for knowledge of the Abyss remained just as strong. [14]
During one of his experiments researching the Curse of the Abyss, Bondrewd offered children who wanted to unravel the secrets of the Abyss to come with him to the Ido Front. However, he never told them openly that they were going to be used as test subjects. Among the children were Nanachi and Mitty. As Bondrewd continued testing, more and more children were used up in his experiments until only Nanachi and Mitty were left. On his final test, he used both of them, resulting in Mitty being hit with the Curse of the Abyss, while Nanachi received the Blessing. [15]
At one point in time, he had started to raise an unfortunate child of an Umbra Hand who had survived a carrier failure as his daughter and named her Prushka. [16] [17]
Nanachi became his assistant in hope to find a way to return Mitty to her human form, but left with Mitty later on due to not being able to stand the experiments on humans any longer. [18]
Ido Front Arc
After Mitty is killed, Bondrewd is briefly seen observing that her light went out, to which he congratulates Nanachi from afar. [19]
Bondrewd has been expecting that Riko, Reg, and Nanachi would arrive at Ido Front and welcomes them, informs them how the 6 th layer can be reached, and invites them to rest at the Ido Front. [20] Later on, he meets with Nanachi during the night and asks them to work for him again, to which they agree on the condition that Reg and Riko will not be hurt. However, it is too late, as Bondrewd has already ordered his Umbra Hands to examine Reg’s body. [21]
After the three escape, he follows them with a few of his Umbra Hands. However they have been led into a trap by the trio and are attacked by Stingerheads. [22] Only Bondrewd survives the attack with his Sparagmos, but is taken care of by a clever strategy of Nanachi and Reg resulting in him being shot by an arrow containing Amaranthine-Deceptor larvae fired by Riko, exposed to the curse, as well crushed by Reg with a boulder. [23] [24]
Prushka, who had observed with an Umbra Hand, starts crying over the state Bondrewd is in. However, due to Zoaholic, Bondrewd has already transplanted his consciousness into the present Umbra Hand and takes the title of Bondrewd once again with the swap of his helmet. Prushka is overjoyed with relief that Bondrewd isn’t dead, but he knocks her out with his finger to make it easier to carry her back. Before Reg can attack again, he hits Riko with Curse Needles and invites them to visit him again before he returns to Ido Front. [25]
In his new body, he puts Prushka into a cartridge, knowing her love and devotion to him will give him the Blessing if he tries to ascend. [26] [27] Indeed, when he fights Reg again, Bondrewd ascends from the Miniature Garden of Dawn and is able to receive the Blessing because of Prushka. [28]
After his second defeat, his consciousness once again transfers into one of his Umbra Hands, though this time, he lets Riko, Reg, and Nanachi go, now accompanied by Meinya and Prushka, who is now in the form of a Life Reverberating Stone. [29]
Abilities
Cartridges
In order to sustain his energy by combating the Curse of the Abyss, Bondrewd creates specialized packages made from the flesh and essence of humans who are the easiest to transport and won’t be missed. For portability, only the brain and vital organs of children are used. The Curse is deflected away from Bondrewd and onto the child in the cartridge instead. A cocktail of drugs is also used to induce a state of ecstasy and terror in the cartridge to boost the Curse-combating efficiency. Bondrewd is able to avoid the loss of humanity from ascending in the 6 th layer and instead receive the Blessing of the Abyss. [30]
Soul-Slave Machine, Auction Name: Zoaholic
A Special Grade Artifact. A horrifying Artifact capable of planting the soul of the user into another, taking control of them. The soul that has been planted can also be shared among those others. Simply being touched with it is enough to have a soul planted into oneself, and it is nigh impossible to escape the enchantment. The user and the subject don’t necessarily have to be humans, because when it was first discovered, small animals were manipulating small insects into getting eaten. Humans are incapable of enduring the division of their consciousness by it. After a period of time post usage, their consciousness will eventually disperse, making them crippled. [14]
Bondrewd divided his soul between each of his Umbra Hands prior to the events of the story. When he is killed by the Curse, his consciousness transferred into one of their bodies, who then take on his helmet as a symbolic gesture. [12] Bondrewd’s consciousness seems to have been altered to something that is no longer human as a result of repeated duplication, reflecting his transformation upon receiving the Blessing. [31]
Shared Perception
Bondrewd has an unknown Artifact that allows him to view events through others, including Nanachi. [4]
Ascending to the Morning Star, Auction Name: Gangway
It is produced from another Artifact, the Stairway of Light. It releases a band of light that strikes a target the user focuses on, and is able to seek out weak spots of said target to ensure a hit. [32]
Hidden within illegal auctions, this one-of-a-kind Artifact, kept secret by the Lord of Dawn, is of an unknown grade. It had the name «Stairway of Light» as its auction name, but even after being processed, it is still called by the same name. It is the mysterious ray of light that comes out of Bondrewd’s gaped mask. It seems the ray of light doesn’t damage anything the user doesn’t focus on, so it won’t cause any problem with anything it hits while it is being reflected. [32]
Curse Needle, Auction Name: Shaker
An Unknown Grade Artifact that shoots darts cut from another Artifact, the Curse Steel. The Curse Steel is an Artifact capable of inducing the Curse of the Abyss in those who touch it. Currently, it is concealed by Bondrewd. It is a terrifying Artifact capable of inducing the Curse, but there are plenty of creatures of the deep that are resistant to the Curse of the Abyss. Due to this, this is mainly used against human opponents. Of course, it won’t do anything against Reg, who is curse-proof. [32]
Touching the Moon, Auction Name: Far Caress
It is incredibly tough and elastic, as well as capable of manipulating countless tendrils. Strictly speaking, it is not exactly an Artifact, but a native creature enclosed within a cylinder, and is only classified as an Artifact simply because it can’t be collected outside of the Abyss.
It’s categorized as a Second Grade Artifact because of its unwieldiness, but Bondrewd used the myriads of himself to grasp the essence of this Artifact and dramatically increased its effectiveness. [33]
Canopy Unto Dawn, Auction Name: Unknown
A processed Artifact of Unknown Grade. It is a custom-made full body armor specialized for the Umbra Hands’ battle and delving use. A complex assembly made with Artifacts and bio-fibers, hiding a multitude of built-in weapons. However, the user remains unprotected against the burden of climbing upwards and must take proper measures separately. Mechanisms made to ease Bondrewd’s consciousness-sharing are also provided. [33]
Origin-guiding Light, Auction Name: Sparagmos
A processed Artifact of Unknown Grade. An Artifact that generates a mysterious blade of light. Things it hits will disintegrate, without any exceptions. It can only work for a short duration of time and makes a lot of heat.
It is possible that it is of the same kind as Reg’s Incinerator. It possesses an unknown power, capable of rewriting the rules of the Abyss.
It seems it has never appeared at auction, which means that its auction name is something that Bondrewd made up himself, just like how Riko would as well. [14]

Appearance
Among the Sages, Jurioimoh has the most feral and monstrous appearance with a very bulky physique. He has three horns on his head that go over into an armor-like shell, covering part of his back. He has a large mouth, with sharp teeth in it, and appears to have a secondary mouth or orifice on his belly in which he can store larger objects. Around his midriff he has, what appears to be, pelt-like hair and right below it tentacle-like growths, going down all the way to his legs. He has very long tree-like arms and thick elephant-like legs. [3]
After his transformation, Jurioimoh’s upper body is covered in thick dark gooey liquid masses, which according to Vueko are shapes of souls of Irumyuui’s children who had returned and the children who were yet to be born, and loosely flow over his body giving them the appearnce of various tentacle-like appendages. [4] [5] His whole body appears to undergo a huge loss of mass with his arms and legs becoming alot thinner, his three horns being enlargend and his mouth shaping to display a set of teeth around the opening and in the opening itself. [6]
Personality
As the will of the village, Juroimoh is the first to respond out of the Three Sages when Ilblu is under attack by a great force. Juroimoh values rough work, causing him to fight against the Fuzosheppu while the other two Sages don’t respond unless the village barrier is broken. [7]
History
Ilblu Arc
Juroimoh engaged the Fuzosheppu with a club-like weapon but was overwhelmed due to misjudging the surroundings. [8]
After Reg returned with parts of Faputa, Juroimoh shows up and starts attacking. Reg manages to draw Juroimoh’s attention and a fight erupts between them, which leads to Juroimoh transforming into a even more monstrous form with the dark gooey liquid masses. While observing, Vueko asks Wazukyan why Juroimoh has the same name as her adoptive father who used to abuse her. Wazukyan explains that Irumyuui created Juroimoh from the signals she received from Vueko, and Juroimoh is the very will of the village itself. [9]
Juroimoh continues his attack by compressing the gooey liquid masses, and firing them in Reg’s direction. Reg contamplates using the part of Faputa he still holds to trick Juroimoh into stealing it, and thus triggering the Ilblu Balancing. [10]
However, Vueko notices his plan, and shouts at Reg to not try it because Juroimoh is unaffected by it. As Reg is thinking of another way, Juroimoh creates a thin membrane with the gooey liquid masses and flings it towards Reg. Reg manages to pull himself out, but, because of the size, villagers and Riko also get caught up in the membrane. [11]
Without much time to think, Reg decides the best solution is to fire his incinerator and rips away the membrane as well as parts of Juroimoh. His shot also creates an opening in the village. Afterwards, he starts panicking because soon Faputa will arrive and the situation will likely turn into a worst case scenario. Reg asks Moogie, Majikaja and Maaa to protect Riko while he is unconscious, and gives them the part of Faputa as payment. [12]
Shortly afterwards, Faputa arrives. Juroimoh roars at her, but is quickly hit by a shot fired by Garburune. Faputa tells the onlooking villagers she will not forgive their sins and the time for their «extermination» has come. [13]
Juroimoh fires the gooey liquid masses at Faputa, but instead of causing her damage it heals her injuries. She leaps down in front of the crowd of villagers and charges at them. [14]
After Reg lost consciousness, Faputa instructs Juroimoh to hold Reg down so that he can’t interfere if he wakes up. [15]
After Faputa’s inner monologue, she sets her eyes on the invading creatures again. As the villagers look onto her with hope filled aspirations she thinks to herself silently that they are hopelessly foolish. Faputa lets out a scream which causes Juroimoh to rise next to her. [16]
She instructs him to rout the creatures and Juroimoh brings forth his «Great Sword.» With a mighty swing, Juroimoh takes out multiple creatures while Faputa lounges at the ones that jumped out of the way and tears pieces out of them. When Faputa is bitten by one of the creatures, the value she has taken in seemingly instantly balances the creature and consumes part of it with the villagers also poiting out it seems akin to the Ilblu Balancing. [17]
As the two continue fighting, they eventually come face to face with a Turbinid-Dragon. Faputa begins to attack its leg and makes its poisonous scales errupt. As she continues to battle the Turbinid-Dragon, she comes to the inner conclusion that this is no longer just a fate she inherited but the fire she made burn herself; her own will. [18]
At some point in battle, Juroimoh was defeated as he is next seen laying on the ground with creatures nawing on his motionless body and presumibly perished completely with the end of the village. [19]
Abilities
Great Sword
High Physical Strengh
Juroimoh has raw strengh far beyond normal Delvers or creatures. [22]
Transformation
After his transformation, Juroimoh is able to ultilize the gooey liquid masses, which he can shoot as compressed balls from his mouth and produce a thin membrane with them to cover large areas. [23] Furthermore, the liquid masses cover damaged areas he has sustained, but apparently don’t regenerate him. [24] [25]

Appearance
A young man with white hair and bright blue eyes, average height. He is almost always frowning. He wears a typical Delver’s gear. [3]
Personality
Jiruo is serious and stern and tends to come off as cold at times, but it is only because he takes his job as a teacher and instructor seriously, and prioritizes the childrens’ safety above all else. [4] At times he is very insightful and gives good advice, and does his best to support Riko after her mother’s whistle was brought back to the surface. [5]
History
Early Life
He was the apprentice of the legendary White Whistle Delver Lyza «The Annihilator.» Though he was only a red whistle at the time, before she made her last dive, Lyza entrusted him with watching over Riko and protecting her identity as a child of a White Whistle Delver. [6]
Orth Arc
Jiruo is present during a briefing in the orphanage where he tells the children about the new rules applied to their delving studies, which include delving alone in assigned areas. Then the head of the orphanage, Belchero, speaks with the Apprentice Delvers, emphasizing that any of the valuable objects in the Abyss, called Artifacts, are to be turned in to the orphanage if recovered, to provide funding for the orphanage’s continued operation. After the briefing, the apprentices are assigned delving areas. [7]
Riko gets assigned the same place she delved the last time, driving her to try to convince Jiruo to assign her a deeper one. However, he disagrees, explaining that delving in the previous area would be more efficient. Riko then explains her dream of becoming a White Whistle Delver to her teacher, so that she could see her mother again. Jiruo, though still disagreeing, promises to grant Riko’s request if she manages to find Artifacts with the most value on the next day’s trip. [8]
After Riko and her friends cause a blackout in the orphanage, whilst trying to awake Reg viva an electrical shock, Jiruo seeks out the source of it by investigating rooms. Only a few seconds later, he is already heard yelling at Riko’s door, asking for Riko to come out and explain. However, he rushes into the room almost immediately, ignoring Riko’s explanation. Noticing something under a sheet, Jiruo immediately removes it, but only finds the electrical device attached to a helmet, to Riko’s surprise. The teacher then turns to Riko, asking about what she has to say. Riko replies weakly that she will not do so again. As Leader begins lecturing Riko, she spots Reg dangling from the ceiling, through a rope extending from his left arm, watching, though the boy quickly pulls himself up the rope, disappearing into the ceiling again upon noticing Riko spotting him. Jiruo then notices Riko is not paying attention to him, thus pulls her away to receive her punishment. [9]
Later on, because they wouldn’t be able to keep Reg’s existence a secret, Shiggy comes up with a plan for Reg to pose as a homeless orphan who wants to become a Delver and approach Jiruo. Luckily, it works out and Reg is officially taken in by the orphanage. [10]
During the Orth’s Resurrection Festival, Jiruo finds Riko sitting alone. He encourages her to participate in the festival, since it is in her mother’s honor, and Lyza was fond of them. Riko asks what type of person Lyza was, admitting she can’t remember her mother’s face. Leader’s description is unflattering, but he was clearly fond of Lyza. He asks about Riko’s eyes and she says she no longer has headaches, as long as she wears her glasses. Leader reveals that Riko’s eyes aren’t naturally bad. She is suffering from the Curse of The Abyss and he tells her about her birth. [11]
Jiruo later informs Riko that she now has permission to view Lyza’s sealed letter at the Delver Guild HQ. He orders Reg to accompany her. [12]
During the day of Riko’s and Reg’s departure, Reg runs into Jiruo, who is patrolling and already knows that Riko is missing. Despite Reg’s obvious nervousness at being caught Jiuro lets him leave. [13]
When Riko and Reg made it to the 1 st layer they find a letter from Jiruo in which he tells them he knew of their plan and is going to pursue them after a little headstart. This causes the two to start hurrying towards the 2 nd layer. Luckily, with the help of Hablog, they make it without running into Jiruo. [14] [15]
Since then, while Jiruo has not interacted directly with Riko or Reg, he has been shown on the surface trying to help Mio with curing Kiyui; aswell as talking with Ozen in the Seeker Camp. [16] [17]
Curse Fleet Arc
After having greeted patreons of the pub, Hablog returns to the table Jiruo is sitting at as well. He then asks Jiruo if he ever heard of the «Shrine Maiden» or the «Nest» to which Jiruo replies he only knows this from children’s games as «The abyssal shrine maiden» and the «faraway nest» are mentioned in Hariyomari’s song. Upon hearing that, Hablog seems to have a kind of epiphany and asks what Jiruo can remember at all from this song. [18]
Abilities
Delving Skills
As Moon Whistle, Jiruo has extensive knowledge of the Abyss and is allowed to teach young Delvers. [1]

Personality
Prushka is a cheerful and amiable girl who loved her adoptive father very much. She is incredibly devoted to him, and would do anything to help him, holding him in a higher regard than anyone else. [3] Having lived the majority of her life in the 5 th layer, she developed a strong curiosity for exploring and was fascinated by tales of others travels through the Abyss. [4] She is adventurous and quite brave, going on her own adventures through the 5 th layer behind her father’s back. [5]
She is also very honest, and placed a great value on her friendship with Riko. She was surprisingly talkative, easily forming relationships with other people and showing no signs of insecurity or shyness despite not having ever been around others her age. [6] Due to her horrible past and the influence of her father, she developed an amazing mental fortitude, and became very obstinate, to the point of being willing to challenge the curse of the 5 th layer multiple times just to learn more about it. [7]
History
Spoiler warning : The following section contains spoilers. Read with caution.
Early Life
Prushka is the daughter of an «Umbra Hand», the Black Whistle subordinates of the legendary Delver Bondrewd. As a toddler, Prushka was caught in an accident while being transported through the 5 th layer. She survived but was subjected to the curse of the 5 th layer and as a result, she suffered severe physical and mental trauma. [8]
Some time passed where Prushka’s mind remained just as unstable, hiding alone in dark areas between walls. Often, she would have panic attacks and display fits of hysteria. One day, Bondrewd gifted her a small creature called a Meinastoirim. The previously frantic Prushka slowly started apporaching the strange animal with a dubious curiosity, and started showing signs of affection with it, naming it Meinya. Overjoyed with the first signs of recovery on his new daughter, Bondrewd declared that the day would be her birthday, signifying a new start for her. [10]
After some time, Prushka saw notable improvements and behaved almost like a regular girl. One day when playing with Meinya, she accidentally climbed some stairs and was hit by the curse of the 5 th layer, resulting in her receiving grievous wounds. Despite the horrible experience, Prushka’s mind was able to recover much more quickly than before, though her hair ended up permanently curled. [11]
She spent the following years in Ido Front collaborating with anyone she could, and occasionally venturing outside with Bondrewd, carrying out explorations through the 5 th layer together. [12]
Ido Front Arc
Prushka greeted Riko, Reg, and Nanachi as they arrived at Ido Front. [13] She quickly formed a strong bond with Riko, despite them only being there for a very short time. [14] As she helped the three escape on a boat, Prushka exclaimed that she wanted to go adventuring with Riko, Reg, and Nanachi. [15]
But before this could happen, Bondrewd turned her into one of his cartridges. [16] Due to her devotion, she took the burden of the curse so that Bondrewd could receive the Blessing of the Abyss. [17] Despite this, her desire to join Riko was so great that she thought about her all while receiving the curse, and her remains transformed into a Life Reverberating Stone, which Riko then took as her White Whistle. [18]
Ilblu Arc
Prushka, now as a Life Reverberating Stone, is in Riko’s possession, and travels with them throughout the 6 th layer. [19]
While in the Narehate Village she is taken to be worked on by a specialist, Poriyon, who can bring out the best of her qualities as a White Whistle. [20] Once completed, Prushka feels much more clear to Riko. [21]
In the fight against the Fuzosheppu, as Riko desperately thinks of a way to save everyone she sees an image of Prushka telling her to blow her whistle. [22]
After an exchange of blows in the battle between Reg and Faputa, Reg instructs Riko to blow her whistle. This triggers an activation in Reg resulting in him emitting a white glow with enhanced speed. Faputa curses at Riko for using Prushka against her and reveals it was her who instructed Gaburoon to bring the stone into the village. It was in order to test if the bond between Riko and Prushka was truely genuine as well as in hope of bringing Reg to the village because she thought it would trigger his memories to come back. [23]
When Reg starts his battle against the Turbinid-Dragons he signals Riko to blow her whistle which she does and passes out after doing so. [24]
Beyond the village
While the group is asleep during their travels, Riko is seemingly able communicate with Prushka in a realm of subconciousness. Prushka tries to establish communication with Doni but informs Riko she is unable to do so. The two change topic and talk about Reg, Faputa and Wazukyan’s goals. Then, Prushka notices someone is trying to wake Riko and both say their goodbyes to meet again another time. [25]

Having lived with a legendary Delver for years, Prushka is quite knowledgeable of many things. She’s well-versed in human anatomy and medicine, and is capable of treating lesser wounds quickly and efficiently. [26] With the help of her pet, Meinya, she figured out a way to climb the stairs in Ido Front even while suffering the sensory-deprivation curse of the 5 th layer, indicating that she has a pretty clever mind and her memory was good enough to memorize Meinya’s movements. [27]
She appears to lack fighting ability, as she hasn’t displayed any feats of strength and, when leaving Idofront, she would be escorted by members of the Praying Hands. [28]
Drawing out the true power of Relics
After becoming a whistle, Prushka is able to activate ancient devices, as seen with the Altar of the Absolute Boundary, as well as draw out the true power of Relics, as seen with Reg. [19] [29]
Communication with the Whistle owner
As a whistle, Prushka is able to communicate with Riko on a subconscious level to the point of them having full discussions. She is also able to experience events via Riko’s senses to the point of experiencing food Riko eats. [30]
