Who doesn’t like the occasional brawl in anime?

I for one am a sucker for a good fight. It can both wow me with amazing animation, or tell a great story, even if no words are exchanged.

Great fights often do both.

Well for this ranking we’re diving into anime that have some of the most amazing fight scenes in the genre.

20. Akame ga Kill!

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Although this show is about assassins, there’s only one character that actually assassinates people.

That might sound like a bad thing. But what it really means is that people are constantly fighting in this show, and it tends to be equal part gory and amazing.

From a dude wielding a flamethrower to a girl with a cursed sword and an evil anime Elsa, this show has quite the array of fighters.

And once you get into the show you’ll realize that both plot armor and a PG rating are non-existent here. There’s one character in particular that not only gave me nightmares, but also converted me into a cat person… check it out and you’ll see why.

19. Dororo

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

If you love seeing samurai dash across the battlefield and mince everything in their path with a blood-soaked katana, then Dororo is bound to be a fun watch.

However, it’s important to note that this is far from just some samurai flick. As the antagonists are literal demons, and the protagonist starts off his journey as a big prosthetic doll with katanas for hands.

The animation quality for each fight scene is honestly off the charts. And the battles flow with a hint of primal anger and badassery that you’ll seldom find in other anime.

18. Log Horizon

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Log Horizon holds a special place in my heart. Not because the battles are necessarily flashy and fluid, but rather because of the amount of strategy that goes into each fight.

It’s your typical MMORPG isekai, however it actually stays true to its roots. Meaning that agro juggling, proper team comps, and cooldown windows are all essential aspects of the battle.

And it’s just so refreshing to see, as there’s no one overpowered character that saves the day. Rather just a group of well-coordinated individuals. Heck, the protagonist is a support mage!

17. The Seven Deadly Sins

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Although the fourth season of The Seven Deadly Sins left the audience rather disappointed, the first three are still full of some top notch fights.

Escanor in particular stole the show whenever he came to the stage. His unyielding ego, soul crushing one-liners, and the power to equal a god, always managed to get me hyped.

Meliodas also has some great duels under his belt. And I would love Ban even if he never lifted a finger at all.

16. One Punch Man

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

If we’re talking about animation quality in fight scenes then One Punch Man has to be mentioned.

Even though the battles themselves hold little narrative weight, the animation and sound design team were such S-class artists while working on this show.

Every battle is an absolute spectacle that you can re-watch a thousand times and still not get bored.

And even if you don’t care much for flashy fights, maybe you like more down to earth skill-based duels, well the second season is still bound to tickle your fancy.

15. Mob Psycho 100

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

I like to clump this anime together with OPM, as they do have the same creator and a similar vibe.

However, do not go into Mob Psycho 100 expecting a One Punch Man duplicate.

The show has plenty more to offer.

The fights here are like explosions of color. And unlike OPM, most fights here still tend to carry some weight. Plus, there’s an actual story to back up all the blood, sweat, and tears flying around.

14. Sword of the Stranger

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

As far as samurai movies are concerned, this one is probably my favorite.

The concept is pretty straight forward: a man, a kid, and the most adorable puppy are on an adventure. They keep getting attacked because a certain someone is convinced he can gain immortality.

But the highlight of the entire movie is a certain clash that happens at the very end, where the animators really just flex on us and bring me one step closer to buying a katana.

13. The God of High School

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

When this show first aired, it blew everyone away with the animation quality and meticulous fight scene designs.

Characters embodied many different fighting styles, and every move and blow carried so much weight that you could feel it in your groin.

The more typical martial arts fade away in the latter part of the story, as a certain power system is introduced. But the battles definitely do not drop in quality, they just get a lot flashier.

12. Naruto

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

People often like to dog on Naruto and call it trash. But you cannot look me in the digital eyes and tell me Naruto doesn’t have some of the best fight scenes in anime.

Gaara vs Lee was an instant classic that’s still fondly remembered to this day.

Kakashi vs Obito did an amazing job telling a story, and is on par with the very best when it comes to animation quality.

And of course, the final showdown between Sasuke and Naruto basically signalled the end of an entire era. And even when faced with such a big title, I do not think it disappointed.

Don’t even get me started on the Ninja War or anything involving the Akatsuki.

11. Demon Slayer

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Do you want to know just how good the fights are in Demon Slayer?

They’re so good that the conclusion of a single fight went trending across the entire world.

That’s right, even your weird uncle who still calls anime “those weird cartoons” has probably heard about this one particular fight in Demon Slayer.

And I for one think it deserved the hype.

You’ll quickly see that the show uses a very specific visual style to convey the movements of a sword. And it is breath-taking (you’ll get that pun once you’ve watched the show, too).

10. Kill la Kill

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

This anime had no right to be as good as was.

The show just has a half-naked woman jumping around in her talking outfit, and beating up students whose clothing powers are weaker than hers.

It sounds stupid, and it is stupid. And yet it’s the most fun you’ll ever have watching an anime.

The comedy is brilliant, the fanservice plentiful, and the fight scenes are way better than you would ever think a show like this would have.

I swear, Kill la Kill is just one surprise after another.

9. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

There are two distinct eras in JoJo’s when it comes to fighting.

Initially the fights were just bundles of testosterone where grown men would breathe really well in order to punch a bird person off a volcano.

But in the second half, with the introduction of Stands, every battle became just very manly 3D chess. The rules are constantly changing, half of the pieces are confusing, and every move ended with a knuckle sandwich.

Jokes aside, Stand battles are one of the more carefully thought out battle systems in anime. And seldom can you actually predict how any battle is going to unfold.

I mean, who could have seen that giant road roller coming?

8. Hunter x Hunter (2011)

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Speaking of amazing power systems that just gave way to even more amazing fight scenes, we have Hunter x Hunter and the concept of Nen.

Although I can’t say the battles in Hunter x Hunter are as calculated as in JoJo’s, since here power cliffing is way more apparent.

But the show has some real bangers.

The killer diddler clown never fails to hype me up about playing cards, and the properties of both rubber and gum. Killua warms my edgelord heart. And Gon, well let’s just say that he surprised me quite a bit.

Don’t get me started on Netero vs Meruem, that was a masterpiece in its own right.

7. My Hero Academia

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

If you like superhero movies (and more importantly superhero fights) then My Hero Academia is bound to be to your liking.

The show has a few arcs where the students are just training or doing some school activities, like practicing for a festival, and you almost feel like it’s a slice of life show.

But when the action starts it does not stop until your pants are completely blown away.

The Overhaul arc? Back to back amazing fights between people with such specific powers that you can never predict who will win, or how they’d win.

One for All vs All for One? One of the most memorable boss battles, and an absolute tearjerker.

The tournament arc? Okay you get the point.

6. Jujutsu Kaisen

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Now this show is the youngest on this list, and yet it has made such an impact already.

I can’t really even define what makes the fights so fun, except by saying that it’s so unpredictable.

I mean sure, the animation is polished to a tee. But it’s really the fact that the bad guys, curses, have such odd powers that make the show so good.

The protagonists are also rather specific. One of them is a panda for god’s sake, so you really just have to sit back and enjoy the chaotic beauty that’s taking place on your screen.

5. Bungo Stray Dogs

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Bungo Stray Dogs has everything you would want from a good modern shounen.

The abilities are rather unique (the dude who gets stronger when he spends money is a prime example).

The animation is polished too, and there’s no single overpowered character that solves every problem.

Most characters in this show have had a handful of decent fights. And as they say, variety is the spice of life!

I also just can’t get over how badass the Port Mafia characters are. It must be because they’re all wearing suits.

4. Black Clover

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

I’m going to be honest with you: 90% of Black Clover is definitely not suited for this list.

But man, do those 10% make me hyped! The thing with Black Clover is that antagonists are hyped up pretty well. And once the battle has commenced, you’re looking at dozens of episodes of mouth-watering fight scenes between everyone and anyone.

For me, what sold me on this anime was just how badass Yami was. And what made me believe in the further potential of this show was a certain demon and his fight against the protagonists.

The animation might not be on par with most other shows on this list, but the generated hype definitely is.

3. Samurai Champloo

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

In case you don’t really like superpower-based fights, I wanted to include one more masterpiece in the art of the sword.

Samurai Champloo features two amazing warriors, one with razor like precision and discipline, and the other with so much raw energy that you can never predict how he’s going to strike next.

The choreography in this show is top-notch. Especially if a battle takes place in a confined space.

And the soundtrack just really allows you to get truly immersed into this funky samurai world.

2. Attack on Titan

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

There are two major sides to the fighting in Attack on Titan.

The majority of the show features the protagonists whizzing around on their manoeuvre, slashing titans and doing their very best not to become minced meat.

On the other hand, we have titan battles.

These are quite rare, but man do they get your blood boiling.

Even though it’s basically just a fist fight, these fights come off as so entertaining. Because you know one wrong move means the death of countless people.

Especially in the last season, boy that season sure is something.

1. Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Alchemy is one of the most interesting plot devices in battle for this show.

Because every battle focuses more on brains that brawns.

But what makes Fullmetal Alchemist stand out in my mind is its capacity for storytelling mixed into the fights.

Mustang vs Envy wasn’t all that impressive in terms of animation, or you know, an actual battle… and yet it still made me scream at the top of my lungs simply because you get so attached to the characters.

A must-watch if you’ve never seen it before.

Myself and many friends were introduced to anime with classic shounen titles like Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files, Dragon Ball Z, and Rurouni Kenshin.

In other words, we were first enthralled by the medium because of all the epic fights with everything from swords and rifles to energy blasts.

Many years have passed since then (actually, two decades) and anime has given fans tons of great fights.

I haven’t seen all the action-packed confrontations, and there’s always more come. But I’m certain that these fight scenes ranked here will never fail to impress.

And fair warning: Spoilers ahead.

30. Ichigo vs Ulquiorra

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Bleach

This hasn’t aged as well as other entries, but I remember being a kid and being hyped after school to see this multi-episode battle.

Ulquiorra was in control most of the time and Ichigo was seemingly out of options — except Bleach is a traditional shounen.

So Ichigo gets a surprise new form, one with a devastating Cero that leaves Ulquiorra (and viewers) in disbelief.

I still find it amusing when they get huge holes in their chest and just heal back. But on a serious note, I commend the epic strings, organs, and choruses, and how this wasn’t a full victory or lost for either side.

Ichigo won against Ulquiorra, but he felt it was unfair — and he hurt Uryu. Similarly, Ulquiorra lost. But he understood a little more about humanity before disappearing from existence.

29. Kaneki vs Jason

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul never got the adaptation it deserved (especially if you’ve seen Tokyo Ghoul √A and Tokyo Ghoul:re). But Season 1 had a noteworthy finale with this epic fight.

This was essentially the timid and confused Kaneki’s awakening, his coming to terms with being a ghoul.

He never expected to be a powerful monster after a date with Rize, but all he can do is move forward — and Jason got to witness Kaneki’s frightening ferocity firsthand.

Kaneki had to witness people scream in pain and die right in front of him, with Jason making him choose which one he kills first. I remember the demented piano keys illustrating the insanity.

But Kaneki gets his revenge on Jason, and combined with the amazing hit track that is Ling Tosite Sigure’s “unravel” (the OP of Tokyo Ghoul), one can’t help but be entertained with him overwhelming Jason in his own sickening ways.

28. Shirou vs Gilgamesh

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works

The background music here isn’t anything close to amazing, but the animation and the outcome are already highly satisfying — and you don’t even need to know the full context to appreciate this scene.

Just from this fight, one can sense the dominance and pride of Gilgamesh and the wit and perseverance of Shirou.

Sure, Gilgamesh has a thousand Noble Phantasms he can summon right out of nowhere. But he hasn’t spent the time as other warriors in mastering even just one weapon (well, he sees himself as a king rather than a warrior).

I love that despite Shirou surprising him with his strong attacks, Gilgamesh was still apprehensive at the thought of using his ultimate weapon Ea, the Sword of Rupture.

That arrogance proved costly. Especially with what happened afterwards (hello, Archer).

27. Edward vs Greed

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Greed is a cool guy.

Sure, he’s also quite narcissistic and craves the money and women (and everything else). But he’s got the charisma.

Yet overconfidence and underestimating your opponent can be disastrous. And that’s what Greed had to learn the hard way against Edward.

Edward was badly injured. Greed was an impenetrable, walking fortress.

Still, the MC utilized what little bit of information he had and eventually turned the tide.

Izumi Curtis and King Bradley soon came around to further pulverize Greed, but this fight shows that you can’t win a physical duel with might (or a seemingly impenetrable full-body skin) alone — you need the mental fortitude as well to maintain or gain the advantage, no matter how hopeless the situation seems.

26. Takamura Mamoru vs Bryan Hawk

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Hajime no Ippo

This is one of the longest fights in anime — but it’s also one of the best. Despite lasting for more than an hour (well, it is a boxing match) this was consistently exhilarating.

Here, Madhouse once again proved they’ve got some of the finest animators in the industry.

Bryan Hawk looked terrifyingly buff and his antics irritated not only the crowd but viewers as well. The studio perfectly captured his confidence and odd boxing style, especially with his first surprise uppercut.

Likewise, you could feel every massive punch.

You knew why Takamura and Bryan Hawk had to catch their breath and revise their strategies.

Moreover, this heart-stopping exchange of fists highlighted the value of practice, knowing the basics, and learning to quickly adapt to new situations.

This was a glorious, brutal showcase of brute power, insane speed, and incredible reaction times, doused with the right amount of blood, sweat, and crowd cheers and jeers.

25. Gohan vs Cell

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Dragon Ball Z

The Dragon Ball franchise is infamous for its long fights — and I’m not referring to 10-minute squabbles.

Now this fight between Gohan and Cell lasted for six or so episodes. It’s a feature-length action film made for TV.

But you know what?

I like this fight more than I did many years ago.

It’s a defining moment in Dragon Ball Z.

The sprawling battle contains deaths (including that of a main character) and destruction (one move literally destroyed an entire planet), characterized by the classic background music and fighting sounds distinct to the series.

Seriously, this fight had better animation and editing (and was easier to follow) than a ton of newer anime shows.

But more importantly, this fight led Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta towards reevaluating their behavior, particularly with how Goku and Vegeta are as fathers to Gohan and Trunks, respectively — and Piccolo really shined here as one of the most admirable characters.

24. Naruto and Sasuke vs Momoshiki

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Boruto

Two slightly different versions of this epic fight exist, and I personally think they’re both worth watching.

The fight in EP 65 of Boruto and the movie should easily satisfy long-time fans and casual viewers, but manga readers may prefer the episode version because Momoshiki’s design there is more similar to the one in the manga.

Either way, the clash effectively showcases many things:

The sheer power of Momoshiki (easily beating multiple kage in just a minute), the beautiful tandem of Naruto and Sasuke (that nine-tailed fox with Sasuke’s Susanoo is awesome), and the emotional core of the franchise.

23. Izuku Midoriya vs Shoto Todoroki

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia has a lot of heart — and this duel between Deku and Todoroki made me cheer for both guys.

Midoriya wants to win and be a hero of justice like All Might. Likewise, he wants to be taken seriously.

On the other hand, you have Todoroki who’s already quite terrifying with half his powers (ice) alone, initially choosing not to unleash his full potential on Deku.

Yet Deku pushed Todoroki with his speech:

Todoroki realized that if he wants to be the best and become a hero, he has to embrace his full potential (i.e. use his fire quirk).

Sure, he got the quirk from his father whom he understandably detests, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be just like him.

Also, the fight itself is brutal. So much so that others had to intervene and reduce the damage of their final hits against each other.

22. Gintoki vs Nizou

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Gintama: Benizakura Arc – A New Retelling

Is it really surprising that Gintama is here?

For fans of the acclaimed series, they know exactly why Gintoki vs Nizou (and the Benizakura Arc overall) deserves recognition. You can watch EP 58 to 61, but the quality in the movie version is far superior.

Simply put, this arc took Gintama to another level, going beyond its constant hilarity and randomness to offer high-caliber sword fights (I’ve watched the rooftop scene many times) and compelling drama.

There’s a certain iconic moment where Gintoki seems to have the chance to decapitate Nizou, but he doesn’t — and that just adds to the inherently good-natured attribute of the beloved nose-picking MC.

21. Kakashi vs Obito

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Naruto: Shippuden

A sizable portion of the Naruto fanbase will argue this was better than the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke — and I was previously on the same boat.

But after many viewings, I feel that this emotional & intimate fight between Kakashi and Obito paved the way for Studio Pierrot to assess what worked, and what needed improvement in animating the most special fights in the franchise.

I wish some scenes didn’t have any music at all (although the strings were gorgeous) just to further heighten how personal this fight was. But this still made me shed a tear or two.

And for a guy whose full face will probably never be seen by the fandom, Kakashi showed a lot of emotion in this fight. Rest in peace, Rin Nohara.

20. All Might vs Nomu

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: My Hero Academia

Even if you don’t remember everything that happened in Episode 12, every knows about this exhilarating fight between All Might and the shock-absorbing Nomu.

I mean, this is the kind of fight that inspires kids to be on the side of justice. To find heroes who’ll inspire them and be heroes themselves in the future.

When Deku and the rest were watching All Might go beyond 100 percent of his… well, might, it felt like I was with them. Characters and viewers alike witnessed a fiesta of punches so strong their shockwaves prevented others from interfering.

Fans keep coming back to this fight. And I think I’m not alone when I say that All Might should be super proud, even if he had to do 300 punches instead of five.

19. Netero vs Meruem

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Hunter x Hunter

You could say this was essentially an epic version of an old man trying to slap a persistent insect with his bare hands, and you wouldn’t be wrong.

On one hand, you had the equally feared and admired Chairman Netero, who was anything but fragile. Then there was the King of Ants seeking to know his name and deal with Netero diplomatically.

Meruem was cunning and analyzed Netero’s moves, and he managed to cut his leg, arm, and force him to use his last-resort option, Poor Man Rose.

Still, Netero’s defeat wasn’t in vain. He lost the battle, but the succeeding events proved he won the war.

18. Goblin Fight

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Grimgar of Fantasy of Ash

Out of all the fights on my list, this is perhaps the one with the least spectacle and sakuga animation — because that’s not its focus.

I included the goblin fight from EP 02 because of its different take on isekai.

Instead of making the MCs immediately overpowered in their new strange fantasy world, the young group here are undoubtedly anxious and inexperienced in combat.

In this goblin encounter, they realize that it’s not a mere game:

Their movement and attack speed will depend on their weapon, they can actually miss their attacks, and that the monsters they slay aren’t always going to be dumb, inherently evil creatures.

Sometimes it’s just a goblin that simply wants to survive no matter what — and it’s the same for people.

When you’re actually the one trying to kill (and not get killed), then killing suddenly doesn’t seem so easy or glorious.

Hitting bone and muscle, seeing copious amounts of blood, and taking the life of another isn’t a walk in the park. And it shouldn’t feel like it.

17. Luffy vs Lucci

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: One Piece

I know this isn’t the absolute truth, but I’ll always stand by Luffy vs Rob Lucci as my favorite fight yet in the entire series.

One Piece itself is unique among all other shounen titles for its masterful worldbuilding, effective mix of comedy (especially physical comedy) with bombastic action, and its visual style.

Lucci forced Luffy to his limits.

The MC utilized his rubber abilities as much as he could (and it’s hilarious seeing him with a gigantic arm, leg, and when he became a big ball), but that wasn’t enough.

Luffy had it in him to bring down Lucci using Gomu Gomu no Jet Gatling, but he needed his dear friends (especially the tsundere-esque Usopp) for motivation, that if he beat Lucci, they could all finally go back together.

Lastly, it’s funny how easily frustrated Lucci got when Luffy poked his leopard nose and Ussop called him a worthless kitten.

16. Kenshin vs Shishio

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Rurouni Kenshin

The local TV network probably showed this anime’s Kyoto Arc many times when I was a kid, and I’m glad they did.

I recommend all duels in the arc, but Rurouni vs Kenshin takes the cake. After all, this was the boss fight.

These two guys were highly skilled (and notorious) sword fighters who slaughtered many people, but the MC and the main villain of Kyoto Arc have taken different paths since their early years of murder. Kenshin yearns for peace and redemption while Shishio is hungry for power and chaos.

Still, this wasn’t just about the losing or winning:

It was also about Kenshin reaping the fruits of his journey to redemption.

He was no longer alone and feared by all. He had good friends ready to support and fight by his side and make daily memories together.

He wouldn’t have survived (and eventually won) if Sanosuke, Aoshi, and Saito weren’t in the same area to take on Shishio while he was down and out.

Similarly, the thought of going back to Tokyo with Kaoru and the rest of the gang made him snap out of his dire situation to land the Kuzuryusen on Shishio.

Not everyone will forgive Kenshin for his grave sins. But there’s also no harm in making amends and changing for the better.

15. Balsa vs Hunters

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Moribito – Guardian of the Spirit

This is a quick fight early in the series, but I’ve never seen anything like it:

A spear-wielding female MC takes on four hunters specializing in different weapons at once in a paddy field leading to a forest — on a night where the moonlight shines bright and the sky is reflected on the shallow waters.

The music was thrilling, sound design was on-point, voice actors did tremendously well, and the action never felt monotonous.

It’s a confrontation with no magic whatsoever. Just good old sharp weaponry and close combat skills — and it’s so good.

14. Rock Lee vs Gaara

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Naruto

I can’t fully recall the matches during the chunin exams, but this fight remains to be one of Naruto’s best ever moments. This could’ve been the season finale and I wouldn’t have complained.

Rock Lee was this thick-browed dude who wasn’t talented in either ninjutsu or genjutsu.

On the flip side, with the help of Might Guy, he was a prodigy in taijutsu — and Gaara and the rest were unprepared to see Lee take off his impossibly dense weights and amplify his already impressive agility.

To this day I think Lee’s consecutive kicks, sending Gaara up the air, and then finishing with a Front Lotus (this was like Undertaker in WWE but from five floors high) never fails to amp me up.

But this wasn’t all about Lee.

Yes, Lee opened many of his Eight Gates and delivered the Hidden Lotus. But the fight also gave viewers a peek into Might Guy’s caring side and established Gaara as a menacing young character.

13. Eren vs Armored Titan

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Attack on Titan

I’ve seen the entire Season 2 of Shingeki no Kyojin twice, but I’ve replayed this scene more than that.

The episode preceding this had the biggest reveal of the season. And this fight brought back memories of old shows like Ultraman.

Trees got wiped out as Eren and Reiner duked it out, and then you see the former use mixed martial arts to counter the latter’s brawn and extreme durability.

I read that the author Hajime Isayama took inspiration from several mixed martial artists such as Yushin Okami, Alistair Overeem, and even WWE superstar Brock Lesnar for the titan forms of Eren and Reiner, and this is the phenomenal product.

And if the colossal MMA fight wasn’t enough, the fight includes sakuga animation featuring Misaka and a terrifying moment when the Colossal Titan falls, allowing Reiner and Bertholdt to escape with Eren.

12. Homura vs Mami

Anime: Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part III: Rebellion

Kyouko Sakura versus Sayaka Miki in the series was well-executed. But this all-out gunfight between Homura and Mami in the movie is like how John Wick would go if he was a magical girl.

Mami didn’t have much screen time in the series.

But Rebellion gave fans a peek into her real potential.

You’d think Homura would easily win with her temporal abilities and years of experience (across different timelines, I should add), but Mami could see right through her.

Shaft handled this scene with flying colors from the creepy & artsy background, to how the bullets hit their targets all at the same time, putting the entire place into ruin.

11. Levi vs Kenny Squad

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Attack on Titan

As a non-manga reader, I still had a feeling Season 3 was going to start with a bang like in S1 and S2. But I didn’t expect it would literally involve guns courtesy of Kenny and his squad.

This encounter lasted more or less five minutes.

But the fast-paced, high-flying action here capably beats entire arcs of other action-heavy titles.

From this fight alone, you know that Wit Studio gave their all.

Multiple gun-toting individuals were chasing Levi in Trost District, and he had to act fast with nothing but his 3DMG and quick thinking skills.

You could sense the rush and panic just by watching the pursuit, and this fight further cemented Captain Levi as a top-tier protagonist (and one of anime’s best guys ever).

10. Naruto vs Sasuke

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Naruto: Shippuden

This was the moment all Naruto fans were waiting for since they first read the manga or saw the first episode back in 2002 (or 2005 for the English air date) — and it was all worth it.

I love how the fight began and how most scenes didn’t have background music:

It was just Naruto and Sasuke giving it their all from start to finish. And when it did have music, it was exactly what was needed to elevate hype and drama.

I have no major qualms about this final battle and only have tons of praise.

Fans have slogged through fillers and sketchy animation for years, but the studio outdid themselves this time.

Studio Pierrot delivered with jaw-dropping, tear-inducing (for long-time fans, at least) action sequences.

Whether it was Naruto and Sasuke punching and kicking each other hard, or Naruto’s Tailed Beast Mode and Sasuke’s Susanoo changing the landscape, the animators handled intimate and big fights with grace.

This is everything fans have always wanted and more — and one can’t help but imagine how Shippuden would have been if the quality was like this throughout.

9. Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann vs Anti-Spirals

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

It’s easy to see this as a standard mecha fight.

But this scene literally involves entire galaxies thrown to each other as if they were mere snowballs.

You’re not looking at extra-large drills from the hardware store.

When Kamina says that his drill creates the heavens, he means it. The Giga Drill Break and the opposing Anti-Spiral Giga Drill Break are unfathomably large for humans to fully comprehend.

But even if you don’t know what’s happening, this is a testament to Gainax and their passion for mecha. It’s hype-inducing, colorful, and inspiring, telling viewers to never settle, exceed one’s limits, and just do it.

8. Mob vs Koyama

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Mob Psycho 100

ONE has two unique manga projects that both offer spectacular action: Mob Psycho 100 and One Punch Man.

Somehow, these titles got superb anime adaptations — and now I have entries from both series on this list.

As one of the highlights of Season 1 (and Season 2 was even better), Mob vs Koyama gave Studio Bones quality material to showcase their mastery of sound design, editing, and animation.

Its seemingly amateurish and rough look eventually gives Mob Psycho 100 its unmistakable identity, and this scene had punches that did look painful, screams that were indeed filled with anguish, and an angry Mob (get it?) at 100 percent.

It’s beautiful in its own gritty, chaotic way.

7. Ryuko vs Satsuki – First Kamui Fight

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Kill la Kill

Ryuko and Satsuki go against each other more than a few times. But it’s their first kamui fight that I love most.

It literally starts with Ryuko feeling something bad was going to occur — then Studio Trigger starts their distinct combo of animation and music (Kill la Kill has the blessing of legendary composer Hiroyuki Sawano).

The first shot of Satsuki on top watching over Ryuko and Mako is a simple way of showing how she’s a force to be reckoned with.

I love the unusual magic girl-esque transformation, the crazy visual angles (especially during their melee fight at one of the corridors), all the similar-looking students being thrown to the air, Ryuko’s ridiculously long scissor weapon, and how Mako gave an intermission to put the ecchi into context and inspire Ryuko.

This is unapologetically stylish, ambitious, fun, and oozing with coolness, ending with the classic preview of the MC’s many foes.

Kill la Kill uses the “don’t lose your way” song “My Body is Dry” a lot… but this is the fight I’ll associate it with the most.

6. Saitama vs Boros

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: One Punch Man

Madhouse did not disappoint with the first season adaptation of One Punch Man.

They did so well that the series became an instant global phenomenon.

Unsurprisingly, this is my favorite Saitama fight.

There he was, with his relaxed pace of walking and talking, while Boros revels in how many planets he’s destroyed as he sought a worthy opponent.

Yet Saitama was no mere worthy opponent:

In reality, he was leagues above Boros in terms of power level. Boros never had a chance — and Saitama didn’t even need Boros-tier healing and regeneration, or use all his strength.

The theme song made it much cooler, the animation was fluid (I love when the high-speed chases looked like rays and blobs of light), and the backgrounds are detailed.

Also, Saitama’s iconic “OK” face is here.

5. Sakurashin Police Force vs Rokkaku

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Yozakura Quartet: Tsuki ni Naku

I love this eight-minute scene.

Sure, I could’ve said this was a fight between Shidou Mizuki and Rokkaku, but that’s a huge disservice to the other characters that were in this as well.

Seriously, Tokui, Takao Takemura, V Juli F, V Lila F, and Nadeshiko Matsudaira upped the coolness factor by tenfold.

Tatsunoko Production delivered crisp sound design, engaging music, and clean action sequences. It was refreshing seeing close combat from an overhead or elevated shot.

Yozakura Quartet has plenty of stylish fight scenes. And I hope this scene encourages more people to see the series.

4. No Name vs Luo-Lang

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Sword of the Stranger

If you ask someone about their favorite fight scene in anime, they’d likely mention Nanashi vs Luo-Lang from the beloved Sword of the Stranger film.

Lasting for more or less four minutes, this doesn’t rely on flashbacks, fillers, and long speeches from the villain (or MC) — it’s purely a clashing of swords in cold, snowy weather.

And this movie takes advantage of the setting.

The two must control their movement to avoid slipping (or worse, falling from the wooden structure) and have to adapt to weakened visibility because of the wind and snow.

It’s a well-choreographed fight, and I appreciate the shaky camerawork, which fits the intensity being captured under the lens (I know it’s anime and there are no real cameras, but you get what I mean).

3. Spike vs Vincent

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Cowboy Bebop: The Movie

Is it blasphemous to put this right above No Name versus Luo-Lang? I hope not.

And if it is, you can’t exactly blame me.

Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door is an amazing film by a team featuring the legendary duo of director Shinichiro Watanabe and composer Yoko Kanno.

If Sword of the Stranger had the best realistic sword fight, this had the best realistic hand-to-hand duel (yes, I know they used guns, but only briefly at the start)) — and the backdrop is a feast for the eyes.

You had Spike and Vincent trading punches and kicks (and Spike’s kicks were beautiful) while on a replica of the Eiffel Tower. Below them were throngs of people celebrating Halloween with a parade, balloons all going up the sky.

Everything here was beautiful, from the setting to the fight choreography, cinematography, and the music and the characters themselves.

Vincent could’ve killed Spike, but he didn’t.

Spike could’ve persuaded Vincent not to pull the trigger and release the virus amongst the crowd, but he didn’t. He claimed he was merely a bounty hunter, not a hero.

And the beauty of this fight is that neither won against each other: It was Elektra who ended Vincent and saved Spike from his demise.

2. Araragi vs Kiss-shot

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: Kizumonogatari Part 3

The Monogatari franchise is rife with eccentric/compelling characters and visuals, all thanks to Nisio Isin and Shaft, respectively.

In Kizumonogatari Part 3, I witnessed the clash between Araragi and Kiss-shot, and its entirety is forever ingrained in my mind.

I know all entries on this list are creative and entertaining.

But no fight is as unorthodox as this:

It’s funny and silly yet brutal and horrific. The high number of beheadings, limb-tearing, and blood spurts in a short time feels senseless — but it’s not.

This is an ultimately unique confrontation with no weak spot in its execution from start to end. An instant classic that won’t have problems remaining recognizable for the rest of modern anime.

1. Asuka vs Eva Series

How to fight anime. Смотреть фото How to fight anime. Смотреть картинку How to fight anime. Картинка про How to fight anime. Фото How to fight anime

Anime: The End of Evangelion

Before I wrote about the top five, I thought of putting Kizumonogatari at the top, and this in second place.

But I watched this scene again — and I realized this was the right choice.

Great fight scenes in anime can make you feel different things: happiness, excitement, anger, and sorrow, to name a few.

Asuka versus the Eva Series units (and military units from the JSDF) makes me feel all sorts of emotions to a higher degree:

I feel elated when she finds the courage to fight back and feel invincible, reminding herself that her mom is protecting her. When she takes on the Eva Series units, I’m in awe at all the mayhem.

And when Asuka sees the Spear of Longinus, I feel terrified. Despair and dread fill my mind when the Eva Series units brutalize EVA-02 — and the same goes for when I hear Asuka repeatedly say she’ll kill them, a parallel to her saying earlier before the fight that she didn’t want to die.

A graceful piece of classical music by Johann Sebastian Bach played during EVA-02’s final act, but the film was drenched in rage, misery, and bloodshed.

It felt like witnessing the end of days, the apocalypse, humanity’s last-ditch effort to salvation, revealed in the most beautiful manner possible, thanks to Gainax and visionary director Hideaki Anno.

This fight has been used over and over for AMVs. But its impact has never waned, even after more than twenty years since the release of The End of Evangelion.

Anime Fighters Simulator – How to Progress and Level Up Fast

The main objective of Anime Fighters Simulator is to progress through the worlds and become stronger by obtaining characters and upgrading them.

Because of this, players want to quickly progress through the game and make it to the last world so they can get their hands on the strongest fighters.

Even though the game is simple and easy to get into, there are some strategies that you should follow if you wish to progress through the game fast. In this guide, we’ll give you all of them!

Table of contents

How to progress fast

The basics of Anime Fighters Simulator are simple. You gather fighters, defeat enemies, upgrade, and unlock new worlds.

But even though the basics are simple, you can significantly speed up the rate at which you progress through the game by using the right strategy.

To progress fast in Anime Fighters Simulator, you want to prioritize your resources, and more specifically, your Yen.

Early on in the game, when you are still progressing through worlds, Yen is the single most important resource and is what determines how quickly you can progress. Late-game, other resources like shards become very important as well.

If you’ve yet to reach the last world in the game, you shouldn’t spend a lot of Yen on trying to get fighters of legendary or higher rarity.

Instead, you should only open around 50 stars whenever you reach a new world, as it should give you a full team of fighters from that world of rare rarity.

If you get lucky and get one or multiple epic or higher-rarity fighters, then that’s only great.

Once you have a full team of fighters from the new world, your total damage output will increase significantly from what it was in the previous world.

At this point, you want to start saving up Yen to get to the next world, not to open more stars in your current world.

You’ll get much more out of your Yen in terms of damage upgrade if you go to the next world and get fighters from that instead of trying to get better fighters from your current one. The reason why is that both the base level and DMG per level of fighters from later worlds are much higher than that of fighters from previous worlds.

If you have a character of legendary or higher rarity from an earlier world that scales better than the rares or epics from the world you’ve just made it to, then you should fuse all common and leftover rares and epics into that one.

That character will, in many cases, be stronger than one of the characters that you’ve gotten from the new world, and then you should, of course, still use it on your team.

The expected damage increase that you get from opening more stars in the same world quickly diminishes, though, as XP requirements to level up fighters quickly rise. Therefore, you shouldn’t keep on opening stars to upgrade a high-rarity fighter from an earlier world. Just save up Yen and get to the next world as soon as possible.

While you are saving up Yen to get to the next world, there are a couple of different things that you should do in the game to push your progress further. All of these are covered in later parts of this guide.

Getting Yen

How quickly you can get Yen is the main factor in how fast you can progress in Anime Fighters Simulator.

As outlined in the previous paragraph of this guide, you want to spend most of your time saving up Yen to unlock the next world.

There are different ways to get Yen in the game, but the fastest is by doing the time trial. You can learn more in our guide on how to get Yen fast.

To maximize the Yen that you get per hour, you should do the time trial every hour and every hour and a half when you are actively playing the game. Doing this ensures you the fastest rate of progress.

When you aren’t doing the time trial, you can do other activities in the game like completing quests or farming bosses.

If you’re looking to take your Anime Fighters Simulator progression to the next level, then you should be farming Yen even when you aren’t playing.

You can farm Yen in the game while you are AFK with programs like TinyTask. Learn more in our AFK farming guide.

AFK farming is when you record the sequence of you defeating a boss in the game with an automation program and then replay that sequence over and over, making you automatically farm the same boss over and over.

Unlock upgrades from time trial carries

There are many upgrades for you to unlock in Anime Fighters Simulator that give you permanent boosts that will help you progress faster.

Most of the upgrades you can only unlock yourself, but there are quite a few that you can unlock without doing much yourself.

Specifically, the Extra Equip and Extra Star upgrades. These upgrades are unlocked upon you reaching certain rooms in the time trial.

The good thing for you is that you don’t have to reach those rooms in the time trial by yourself.

If you do the time trial with other players that are much stronger than you, all you have to do is follow them while they clear the rooms, and you’ll get the upgrades when you reach the rooms required for each upgrade.

As the time trial is shared across the whole server, there is a good chance that someone else is also doing it when you go there when it starts.

The Extra Star upgrade is useful but won’t matter that much early on as you don’t need to open a lot of stars before much later in the game. Extra Star upgrades increase the number of stars that you can open at a lot.

The Extra Equip upgrade, on the other hand, is extremely useful for your progress in the game, as it allows you to equip one more fighter on your team, which is a major damage boost.

You unlock the Extra Equip upgrades by reaching the following rooms in the time trial:

If no strong players do the time trial on your server when you do it, you can check out Anime Fighters Simulator livestreams on YouTube. They often do time trial carries for viewers.

Obtain world badges for Yen multiplier

Increasing your Yen multiplier is very important when you are looking to progress fast in Anime Fighters Simulator.

To increase your multiplier, you need to collect world badges. Each world badge gives you a 10% Yen multiplier boost.

You get the badge of a world by completing all the quests within it. The last quest in each world gives both a mount and that world’s badge.

Remember to claim the 10% Yen multiplier bonus in the upgrades menu when you’ve acquired a new badge.

You can access the upgrades menu by clicking the up-arrow icon on the right side of the screen.

As enemies from later worlds give more Yen per health, it’s actually best not to try to complete all quests before you move on to the next world.

In most cases, you will have quests leftover from your current world and perhaps also previous ones at the time that you can unlock the next one.

Don’t stick around in the previous worlds just to complete quests, just move on to the next world and get your damage up.

Later, when you’ve increased the damage of your team, you can go back to earlier worlds and quickly complete the remaining quests to get the badge.

While we were progressing through the game, it would at one point take us more than 6 hours to complete the last quest in 9 Crimes Island. At that point, we’d already unlocked Lucky Kingdom, which is two worlds after 9 Crimes Island.

In such a case, it’s not worth your time to complete the last quest for a 10% Yen boost. You should farm enemies that give more Yen per health instead and do the quest later when you are stronger.

Take advantage of events

There are always events running in Anime Fighters Simulator on weekends, and sometimes also during the week.

You should take advantage of events, as they can help you progress much faster.

Usually, two events are running at the same time on weekends, with 2x Yen being one of them and the other one being either +2 Luck or 2x XP.

Given that Yen is the most important resource for your progress throughout most of the game, it’s no surprise that the 2x Yen boost will be of great help.

Extra luck and 2x XP are also very useful, as they’ll help you acquire better fighters and upgrade your main ones faster.

You can see whether or not an event is running both on the Anime Fighters Simulator page on Roblox or in the game.

The current event boosts will be displayed in the game title on the game page and in the stats window in the bottom-right corner inside the game.

How to level up fighters quickly

Leveling up your fighters increases their damage and thus allows you to progress faster.

However, as covered earlier in this guide, if your goal is to progress fast, you should generally aim to get new fighters from later worlds that are already higher level than your current fighters rather than upgrading.

There are situations, though, where leveling up your fighters makes sense. For example, if you’ve acquired a character of mythical rarity or higher.

If you haven’t reached the last world, the fastest way to level up a fighter in Anime Fighters Simulator is to progress to the next world and use fighters from that world’s star for fusion.

We do, of course, recommend that you keep fighters that are stronger than your current ones for your team and only use the ones that you don’t need for fusion.

After reaching the last world, it will start being extremely difficult to level up fighters through star opening and fusion. At that point, it might take more than a day’s worth of gameplay to just level up once.

When this happens, you want to start using the incubator to level up your strongest fighters. A fighter gains one level per day that it is locked in the incubator.

Other things you can do to level up fighters faster include using farming Yen so you can open more stars and using XP boosts when fusing.

That’s how to progress and level up characters fast in Anime Fighters Simulator!

Anime Fighters Simulator – Passives Guide: How to Get, Wiki

In Anime Fighters Simulator, your characters can have a passive, which is a permanent buff, or in some cases, a debuff.

Almost all passives in the game do, however, make your fighters stronger, and some of them make them significantly stronger.

Upon opening a character from a star, there is a small chance that it will have a passive. If a character that you want to use doesn’t have one, you can give it one.

With so many passives in the game, we recommend that you check out our Anime Fighters Simulator Passives Tier List to get an understanding of how powerful different passives are.

In this guide, we give you all the information that you need on passives in Anime Fighters Simulator.

Table of contents

What are passives?

Passives are permanent boosts that characters in Anime Fighters Simulator can have.

You can see whether or not a character has a passive by looking at its icon in your character inventory.

If there is a small icon in the top-left corner of a character’s icon, then that character has a passive.

To see what the passive does as well as its name, you can click the character’s icon, and the passive information will be displayed to the right of the character’s main information window, as shown below.

Not all passives in the game display what boosts they give as Rich III does.

The Ghostly passive, for example, just says, ‘This fighter is like a ghost…’. You can see what boosts all passives in the game give in our passives list later in this guide.

There are many types of passives giving boosts in everything from damage and attack speed to movement speed and drop rate.

Some passives have a major impact on the damage output of a fighter, so you should definitely aim to get passives on all the fighters that you use on your team.

How to get passives

There are two ways to get passives on characters in Anime Fighters Simulator.

The first way characters can get passives in the game is by them randomly having one upon being opened from a star.

Every time you open a star, there is a small chance that the fighter has a random passive.

The rarer a passive is, the smaller the chance that a character randomly has it upon being opened.

The second way to get a passive on a fighter is by using the passive reroll machine located in the Hero’s University world.

In the passive reroll machine, you can, of course, reroll the passive of a character who already has one, but you can also use it to give a character without one a passive.

To give a fighter a passive in the passive reroll machine, click Pick Fighter inside the machine, click the fighter that you wish to give a passive, click Select, and click Shard Reroll or Robux Reroll.

The passive that your character gets is random and follows the same probability as rerolling an already existing passive.

Once you’ve selected a character to give a passive, you can see how many raid shards it’ll cost to give it a passive before you click the Shard Reroll button. Robux reroll costs 149 Robux.

The number of shards it costs to give or reroll a fighter’s passive depends on the rarity of that fighter. The shards have to be from the same world as the fighter.

Note that you cannot give a character a passive if they are currently equipped on your team. Unequip them first. Then you can put them into the passive reroll machine.

How to reroll a passive

If you have a character that you want to use on your team but that has a weak passive, or you just want a better one, it’s possible to reroll the current passive.

To reroll the passive of a character in Anime Fighters Simulator, head to the passive reroll machine in Hero’s University, click the ‘Pick Fighter’ button in the machine, select the character whose passive you wish to reroll, click ‘Select’, and click the ‘Shard Reroll or ‘Robux Reroll’ button.

Rerolling the passive of a character either costs raid shards from the same world that the character belongs to or 149 Robux, depending on whether you choose Shard Reroll or Robux Reroll.

The number of raid shards it costs to reroll the passive of a character depends on the rarity of that character, with those of higher rarities costing more shards.

When you reroll the passive of a character, you can get any passive in the game, except for the poor ones that make your character weaker.

All passives list

There are many passives in Anime Fighters Simulator giving boosts in everything from attack to movement speed.

Passives come in different rarities, with the higher-rarity ones usually being better than those of lesser.

Here are the different rarities passives can be in Anime Fighters Simulator:

As mentioned, you cannot get passives of Poor rarity when using the passive reroll machine. They can only be obtained by a character randomly having it when being opened.

With so many passives in the game and the fact that not all passives say what boosts they give, we’ve pooled all the information you need together.

Here is a complete overview of all passives in Anime Fighters Simulator, including their chance according to the game, what boost they give, and their rarity.

As some passives are very rare to roll, we recommend settling for a great but less rare passive till you have the resources to keep rerolling for a long time.

Also, if you happen to get any character with Solid Gold either from opening stars or rerolling, we recommend that you keep it, as you can use characters with this passive to farm Yen quickly.

What are the best passives?

Because of the vast number and variety of passives in Anime Fighters Simulator, it can be difficult to know which ones are the best to go for.

In general, God, Solid Gold, and Ghostly are the best passives in the game.

What passive is best for you does, however, depend on what your current needs are.

If you are in need of Time Trials shards, then a Collector III passive is the best, and if you are looking to farm raid shards, then a Tactical III would help out a lot.

But, as what most players want is more damage, then Solid Gold and Ghostly are the best options for you.

One more thing to consider about damage-boosting passives is whether or not a fighter can charge their ultimate quickly, which means that they don’t need to perform many basic attacks before their ultimate is ready.

If a character has a quick ultimate charge time, then it benefits greatly from a DMG boosting passive, while those with a slow ultimate charge benefit more from an attack speed boost.

You can learn more about how good each passive in the game is in our passives tier list.

A last note about when deciding between using a DMG boosting or a Boss DMG boosting passive is that Boss DMG does not affect the damage your clicks deal.

Boss DMG only affects the damage that characters deal to bosses, while DMG boosts affect your click damage, so more than just the damage output of that character.

That’s everything you need to know about passives in Anime Fighters Simulator!

General gameplay

Obtaining Yen

You can obtain yen by defeating enemies or participating in the time trials. You have more yen if you attack bosses and minions, and you can put rich and solid gold fighter to gain extra yen. It’s recommended to attack bosses of previous maps to farm yen. The best way to get yen is to farm mini bosses or secret bosses, but secret bosses are better.

Time trial

The time trial is in Super Island/DBZ/Dragon ball Z and you can farm more yen, doing challenges to have upgrades and buy in the time trial shop! You can obtain Time Trial Shard defeating enemies and is the money to buy in the shop, they are boosts, permanent boosts, tickets, etc. There are three modes: Lesser Trial, Medium Trial and Greater trial. In Medium and Greater trial they spawn chests that contains more Time Trial Shard and shards of different maps.

Fighter rarities

There are 8 rarities of fighters in the game currently, ranging from Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, Crafted Secret, Secret, and Divine fighters which are the rarest in the game currently.

Rating

When you open every star, all fighter have a Rating, It is recommended to up level fighters and put good passives if they are above the rating B.

Shiny fighters, fruits, and meteors

All fighters have a chance to be a «shiny», these fighters deal more damage than a non-shiny, sell for more yen, and have visual changes. You can get these fighters either from a low % drop from opening stars, or using the machine on Chimera Island to transform them into shinies using fruits that you can either buy from the Fruit Merchant, located near the machine, or from destroying metoers that periodically spawn in any island. Shiny Crafted Secrets can only be gained by having 5 of the corresponding shiny mythicals and 20 shards from that map. You could also obtain fruits from gifts that spawn in any of the many islands.

Leveling fighters

You can fuse fighters to level up ones that you currently have. The higher the level, the more damage the fighter does, but more exp is required to level up the fighter. The max level is currently 285. You can increase the xp gain from fusing by either using XP boosts, or from events. Putting a fighter into the incubator is the most efficient way to try to reach the level cap, as every day the fighter is in the incubator, it gains 1 level. there are 3 in game incubators (Slayer Army, XYZ Metropolis, Flame City)

Crafting fighters

You can craft fighters by combining three mythical fighters of a world and five shards. Each world has its own unique craftable fighter and the shards are different in every world. You can also craft a shiny craftable fighter using five shiny mythical fighters and twenty shards. You can obtain shards from raids.

Raids, Massives, and Defense Mode

Every hour, there is a random map raid, they put a boss and enemies to defeat and there is a countdown with 10 minutes to complete it. if you complete the raid, you obtain shards for the map that the raid took place in, but if the time expires you get nothing. The massive raids are the same as the raids but are WAY MORE DIFFICULT and they give you many more shards (I recommend to do them with pay to wins). The shards are what you need to make crafted fighters.

Defense Mode is similar to raids but you can get special item called «Max Open Tokens» which are used to open faster and get mythical, secret or divine fighters easier. If you defeat an enemy in Defense Mode, they give you Max Open Tokens (bosses grant more Max Open Tokens). There are different waves going from wave 1 to wave 10, but every wave is more difficult than the previous. I recommend to do this Defense Mode with a group of people or have a very high stat fighters. The locations that a player can activate Defense Mode are: Crazy Town, Walled City, Cursed High, Lucky Kingdom and Divine Colosseum. You can activate Defense Mode with a Defense Token that you can obtain in Time Trial Shop for 500 time trial shards, or from the daily spin (1.7%).

Accessing worlds

When you’re playing the game, there isn’t only 1 world, there are multiple of them. You can access them from the door for an amount of Yen. Remember, the higher the world is, the stronger the enemies are.

Passives

All fighters that have passives have an icon on the top left of their portrait. You can also reroll the passives if you get one you do not like, and this can be done using shards (1 shard for common to legendary units, 2 shards for shiny units, 3 shards for shiny mythical/craft, 5 shards for shiny craft/secret, 10 shards for shiny secret/divine and 20 shards for shiny divine) or 149 robux. Most passives grant only buffs, but some passives grant nerfs and buffs simultaneously, and some passives only grant nerfs. You need to equip the fighter if you want to have the effect of passive.

The order of passives are the best to the worst:
