Hello, Hypixel players! Some of you «hardcore PvPers» are reading this guide to reduce your ping, so this is my guide to help you reduce ping, from 200 MS, to hopefully 100 MS, or less.
DISCLAIMER: This guide has a great success rate for many, but, it might not work for everyone! This guide WILL lower ping, but some solutions will lower ping, and some may not.
So, here is my first solution, which MANY of you can not do. This suggestion is NOT reccomended.
1. Move closer to the Hypixel Servers, this solution CAN not be done by most, but the Hypixel servers are at Washington, (Don’t ask me how I know). So, this is one, solution, that should not be done, unless you are allowed to.
This solution creates stability, and also can lower ping by atleast 10 ms. However, it will make you go to the store, and pay 10$, so if you can drop money for that, then go ahead.
2. Switch from Wifi, to a wired connection. Grab an ethernet cable, that’s X FT, long enough, but not too long, or else data won’t travel well, and connect it from your router and computer. Get a Cat5e to a Cat6 cable, this increases stability, and also will reduce ping by a very fair amount.
This solution is by installing a program called, WTFast, which will lower your ping. It’s free, for the basic version, and the advanced version for about 9$ a month. This will lower ping, however, if you get about 10 ping to the server like I do, it will NOT lower your ping, and instead raise it.
3. Install WTFast.
4. Now, the next solution, is check if you have full connection to your router, if you still want to go wireless. Try to get a better router, that is better then yours right now, and you will feel a better connection to the server, and get less ping.
5. Try to find programs that suck up bandwidth, like Netflix, and turn it off. These kind of programs can lower your ping, and definitely ruin your PVP experience.
6. Don’t watch videos in 720p or higher. This can suck up bandwidth, and ruin ping, and make it higher.
7. Your router may be faulty, if you get two bars for your connection, even though the router is next to your computer.

Hey guys. I’m back for another tutorial, since my last post did so well and it seemed to help majority of you, this tutorial will be about improving your internet connection speed and lowering your ping for games like Minecraft. Up vote this post if any of these methods help you!
1. TCP Optimizer Program: This program allows you to optimize your internet connection for gaming. This program will ensure you have the best Internet settings for your computer. First install TCP Optimizer at https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php **MAKE SURE TO RUN IT AS ADMINISTRATOR OR THE SETTINGS CAN’T BE APPLIED!** Next, open the program. At the top where the numbers are, drag the slider to the number that your internet speed is. You can test your internet speed at https://www.speedtest.net/ Then at the network adapter section, make sure «Modify all adapters» are selected. Then heading towards the bottom click on the option that says «Optimal» and click Apply Changes. Finally, restart your computer to finish all of the changes.
2. Change DNS Servers: By default, most computers are set with their own DNS servers given by their ISP. This one usually isn’t as fast as other DNS servers. For NA users, we’ll use cloud flares DNS server as this has the lowest ping out of all of them and are quite snappy and made for gaming. As for EU users, you can try to use cloud flares but may get higher ping since this is technically made for US from what I know. To change your DNS servers hover over the WiFi icon at the bottom right of your screen, right click and select open Network and Internet settings, select Change Adapter Options, select your WiFi connection that you mainly use, right click and select properties, In the small box find Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4) and on the bottom two lines type 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1 for NA users and for EU you can try to use this or Google’s DNS. (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4)
3. Use an Ethernet Cable: Ethernet is faster than a normal WiFi connection, to connect to Ethernet you need a Ethernet cable. If you have an Ethernet cable, plug it in to your router and into your PC. Or you may have an Ethernet outlet in your room like me that connects to the router like me. Same thing, just plug it in to the outlet and into the Ethernet place on your PC.
4. End Background Processes: When you are playing games, don’t have any thing open in the background, especially things like web browsers such as google chrome. This can drastically increase your ping.
5. Remove other connections: When it comes to WiFi, the more people connected to the WiFi means the slower the connection will be. Try and remove other connections (If you can) and you’ll see things starting to improve.
6. Use Spy Bot-Anti Beacon: While the name does sound quite suspicious, this is not a virus. I promise. This tool blocks a windows feature that sends information to Windows. Install it at https://www.safer-networking.org/products/spybot-anti-beacon/ Once you open it, simply click the big circle in the app and it will start protecting you.
7. Server w/ dedicated country: This method is quite simple but only some servers offer this. If your server has a dedicated server for countries like North America, Europe, or Australia, connect with the sub domain given. For example: na.hypixel.net

How Can I Make my Ping Lower?
Just wanna add some ideas.
for online games like minecraft, the recommended speed you should consider is 5mbps and no lower. if you know your internet speed and its lower then 5mbps. that is an issue.
you can also try these tips for better more stable internet >
*get your computer on a wired connection. wifi is not acceptable for online gaming even if your card gets you 72mbps to your router. sending data through the air is still not as good as a wired connection to your router.
if you share a internet connection that is slow (less then 5mbps) make sure no one is buffering HD video off the net while your playing. even though watching HD video only uses download speed. if your net is 5mbps or lower, your upload is more then likely half that speed and thats terrible.
one more thing you can do is lower your view distance on minecraft. this will make your computer demand less chunk updates from the server and free up some net hopefully.
(these are all just my opinion by the way.) if you have wireless internet from a wireless modem and your getting that wireless internet via wifi from that modem. thats about the worst it gets for online gaming.

Ping is the time it takes to bounce a signal between your computer and the server so even with a good ISP but a far away server or a bad route to the server you can still get bad ping.

your internet connection. Now you might say, oh this is fake wlp sadly its not you can eather be a dumb sheap that follows.
what other dumb sheep say or try it for yourself, give it a try! I also make custom regedit but right now the store is not open.
i make it nearly all custom to your connection based on what details you give me, i have many good reviews by everyone who.
has tried it whit just 2 cases of the reciver having problems but not to worry we got them resolved very quickly. anyway, render.
settings, recording program, editing program? I use action to record, my settings in it are (for minecraft pvp suff ) 720p 60fps.
and ultra quality and to get a motion blur effect i use the ingame motion blur texture pack peouple like gosu have released..
In sony vegas i disable resample for my clips to remove any chunky blury motionblur it might add. for desktop recording i use.
1080p 60fps and ultra quality whit no motionblur in sony vegas, i make my clickbaity thumbnails in photoshop. Now lets talk about.

Altough i try to get a new video out weekly eather if its a funny meme or the normal ping episode, but what are my ping videos? are they fake? nah xd but how do you find the methods, i know alot of them, i find them online, from friends, and discover them myself, the goal of them is to help you, the player get better by reducing your delay and latency, not everyone can have low ping like famous players Stimpay Latenci Verzide Kevstah Painfulpvp and others, i release regedits ping optimizers cmd’s programs and stuff for your fps most of my methods not only work for minecraft but for other games like csgo league of legends and many many more. In minecraft thease methods give you more fps better hit detection better reach on your opponents screen some of them evenchange your ping! there have been cased of my fan’s ping changing from 60 ms to 14 ms as they said in the comments, but most of all thease change your latency whats latency? well thats the delay between your lets say mouse click, and the hit happening ingame latency is the time your computer needs to process and send new packets to the server by using many regedits and others you can speed it up making your connection smoother and you will lag less and have less ping, sometimes atleast. Most of the mods i release are for 1.7.10 because the potpvp community mostly play on that version, other methods like the regedits work for all versions of minecraft.
1.8 1.9 and 1.10 and EVEN 1.11. My pvp style? I strafe alot i jitter and blockhit i dont straightline like most pvpers do thease days because it has no skill involved in it and the winner will allways be the one whit better ping, i sometimes wtap too but mostly blockhit..

Ping is often conflated with lag. One may n”lag out” due to unacceptably high ping. Servers will often disconnect an client if the ping is too high and it poses a detriment to others’ ngameplay. Similarly, client software will often mandate disconnection ifn the ping is too high.
A high ping is not the result of lag; rather, a nhigh ping causes. You can check several servers, select the one with the least amount of lag and get on with playing. During a ping test, your computer says hello to a server and then records how long it takes the server to say hello back to it.
You’ll probably get the best results from pinging servers in your geographical region. Ping results may vary depending on geographic location. IPs and server locations are crowsourced from players and may result in differences compared to your local server. For specific minecraft server pings, please use our ping tester and use the IP or URL of the server you want to test. And even still Minecraft is just Minecraft.
Though the ping measurements are better than they used to be, (1.3 omg that was so bad.) I wouldn’t trust them. It’s far more reliable to do it this way, and it’s as simple as opening up your command prompt and typing a command.:/ As a note: It’s also possible to ping the website and the hubs. What is this? A online tool that pings the servers you add, and tells you if the servers are open, who is online, motd and more! How does it work?
Click “Add Server” to add servers. You can already get the ping from the server. However it doesn’t display it. It tells you in the multiplayer menu screen or you can make a client side mod to display it. A command would be more server intensive because it requires you to send and receive it.
While a display in the F3 menu would update instantly and be more professional.

Server Status
Before making any tweaks on your system, I’d recommend to verify the Minecraft server status to see if the issue is related to the server or your own connection. Click here to test the Minecraft server status. Here, you can get trivial information about the server you’re trying to play on. Simply enter the IP address, click on “Get Server Status” and you will be presented with the player count, current version and so on.
Test Your Connection
In case the issue is related to your own network connection, then make sure to test your connection by visiting this page. A normal up & download speed, without interruption is important to have a stable gaming experience. Especially your ping should remain below 100ms. You should also account for any VPN service which could be running on your system. Or turn off your VPN while in-game.
Improve Network Connection
Use a hardwired (Ethernet) connection while playing the game
Reduce the amount of devices using the same network connection
Restart your router or modem if you haven’t done this in a while
Command Prompt
Search for CMD or Command Prompt in your taskbar to open it up.
This command will test your latency to Google’s servers and will check if you experience any packet loss
In case your ping / latency is higher than 100 ms, or if you encounter any packet loss, then the issue is related to your network connection
Use this command to flush and reset the content of your DNS resolver cache
Resource Monitor
Access your Resource Monitor by opening up your Task Manager. Right-click your taskbar to open up your task manager.
Under Performance select Open Resource Monitor. On the new resource monitor window, open the Network tab, where you will have to open the Processes with network activity.
After a few seconds you will see every process using your network connection on your system. This might be your browser running in the background, steam or a download bottlenecking your connection. I suggest you only end the processes which you know won’t break your operating system. In the tab below, you can also preview your network utilization in percent.
Disable VPN
Since the game has many simultaneous players on the same server. You can also fix server problems by trying to change the server region in the game. This will help you depending on where you are trying to connect from. You should also make sure that you are not using a VPN service as this will cause latency and packet loss when you try to play Minecraft. If the servers don’t seem to be affected, the problem could be on your end.
Change DNS Server Address
Network related issues can be caused by your DNS server address connection. In this step, we will change it, as it should help a lot of users with network problems. Use the shortcut Windows Key + R, and in the dialogue box enter Control and hit enter.
This will open up your control center. From there, navigate to Network & Internet, Network & Sharing Center, and here select your connection. Navigate to Properties and lastly, double-click the Internet Protocol Version 4 as you can preview on the screenshot below.
Select to Use the following DNS server addresses option, and as your preferred DNS server, use : 8.8.8.8 as you alternate DNS server, use: 8.8.4.4
These are the official public DNS server addresses from Google, which are safe to use.
Malware & Other Applications
We suggest removing malware and prevent applications from running which could use up your available resources or change your game files. For example: Discord, CCleaner, Adobe Applications, Shadowplay and OBS.
Verify Connection to ISP
In case you still experience latency or lag issues then make sure to verify your connection to your Internet Service Provider. You can troubleshoot this step by changing your connection to your personal hotspot for example.
Delete Temporary Files
If you have issues loading maps or downloading other content, then make sure to delete your temporary files. Search for %temp% in your taskbar search to open up your temporary files folder.
You can safely delete everything in the folder, some files might remain so just leave them there. This can help you reduce some clutter on your hard-drive.
