Скучно

Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun

Fuck my friends, they’re gone
They all left one by one
And now that summer’s done
They don’t need no more fun
Yeah, I drive around on my own
I’m rich, but my A/C broke
Don’t check no mail, no phone
And I tell them I’m not home

And I keep to myself
Fuck with no one else
And I know it’s my fault
But I don’t care
And I keep to myself
Who are you to pretend?
And I know it’s my fault
It’ll never end

Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Drive around on my own
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun
All they do is nothin’
Yeah, all my friends no—
(No fun, no fun
No fun, no fun)

Yeah, I can’t get no sleep
I look so good in green
I run, I run, I run (I run, I run)
And I don’t have no more dreams
I drive around on my own
Feel dead, but I feel my bones (my bones)
I hide out on my throne (my throne)
Open up, now my cover’s blown
Yeah, now my cover’s blown
Yeah, now my cover’s blown
Oh, now my cover’s blown
Oh, now my cover’s—

Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Drive around on my own
Yeah, all my friends no f—
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Drive around on my own
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun
Yeah, all my friends no fun
All they do is nothin’
Yeah, all my friends no—

Let me keep you to myself for awhile

Summary:

No one in the Amidala-Skywalker household has met him yet.

Or, 5 times Luke’s family met Din Djarin on accident, and the one time someone had already met him.

Notes:

as always pop on over to Tumblr @flaccid-rats and say hi

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Leia and Han

Leia knew her brother was seeing someone, but she had never had the pleasure of meeting this new partner.

For as much as Luke liked to talk and gush about Din Djarin, he was awfully reluctant to bring him around for family dinner. It was certainly not for a lack of excuses. Din could be at work, or helping a friend, or he was helping a family member, or doing class or homework. Sometimes Din was grocery shopping, or stuck doing laundry, or it was deep cleaning day. And when Luke was out of excuses, he would say that he forgot it was family dinner night and then shovel a spoon full of green beans in his mouth, which was ridiculous because family dinner night was every Sunday.

Leia loved her brother.

But her curiosity about Din Djarin was winning out over any sort of respect she might have for Luke’s private life. And they were twins anyway. Leia was allowed to be noisy.

So when Luke loudly announced one Friday afternoon after staring besottedly at his phone for a good five minutes that he was going out with Din and ran out of the living room before anyone could question him or tell him no—and really, he was 28, he didn’t need to act so skittish about it—Leia texted Han and followed him out, leaving her mother and father to finish their game of monopoly without them.

“Not that I don’t love stalking your brother,” Han hummed, leaning back in the front seat of his shitty van to try and see where Luke and Din Djarin ducked off to. He had his arm slung around Leia’s shoulders, and she cuddled back a little further into his side. Han had parked in the back lot of the strip mall where Din Djarin’s equally shitty van had pulled into. Din Djarin and Luke had gotten out a while ago, and after hovering by the back door of the van for several moments they finally started moving. Luke looked like he was carrying something. Leia squinted to try and see what it was, then watched with surprise as Luke and Din Djarin went into the Babies R Us. “But this seems. I don’t know, a lot?”

“You’re a lot.” Leia retorted.

Han scoffed, made a noise like he was about to start talking, but Leia untangled herself from Han as quickly as she had tangled herself in the first place, and got out of the van before he could start his lecture.

She was already halfway across the parking lot before Han caught up.

“You can’t just—why are we going into a baby store?” Han slowed to a jog, coming up to Leia’s side as he hooked his fingers in the back of her jacket. He sounded panicked. “Leia, why—Are you—do you have something to tell me?”

“Luke went in there.” Leia answered. She turned to look at him, frowned. “If I were pregnant you would know.”

Han snapped his mouth shut. His cheeks went pink.

Leia smiled, patted his cheek before kissing it, then ducked inside the store while dragging Han in behind her.

It did not take her long to find Luke.

He was standing in the crib isle with an older man, leaning against his side as he squinted at a boxed crib. The man, Din Djarin Leia assumed—he had the same mess of curly hair Leia had seen on the man in the parking lot—had his arm hooked around Luke’s waist and was running circles into Luke’s hip with his thumb. He was humming and nodding along with what Luke was saying (something about higher walls so Grogu couldn’t climb out). He was older than Luke, was the scruffy sort of handsome that Han likes to think he was. That surprised Leia. From the way Luke talked about him, she had assumed that the still in college Din Djarin would have been younger than Luke, not old enough to have a baby older—

“That’s a baby.” Han said.

Leia smacked Han and shoved him over into the next aisle just as Luke looked up.

She peered around the corner.

Luke had his head back on Din’s shoulder, and was pointing to another crib. The thing he had been holding was a baby. A baby swaddled in a bright green blanket and wearing a bright green hat with large floppy ears and peering at Leia over Luke’s shoulder with the largest brown eyes she had ever seen. He had part of his fist in his mouth, and was chewing on his fingers just as much as he was drooling on Luke’s shirt. Luke, for his part, didn’t even seem to notice.

But, Leia supposed, he was a kindergarten teacher.

“What about that one?” Luke asked. He pointed at a box with large letters screaming that it was BABY ESCAPE PROOF and looked up at Din Djarin, smiled sweetly, and pulled the baby back so he could look at him and nuzzle their noses together in the cutest Eskimo kiss Leia had ever seen. “You can’t climb out of that one, can you, you little womp rat?”

The baby cooed happily.

“I’m sure he’ll find a way.”

Leia was surprised by how soft Din spoke. He seemed like he would be loud, like he would fill up a room. Not—timid, Leia would say. He sounded very timid.

“Oh probably,” Luke propped the baby up on his hip, smiled again and kissed the corner of Din Djarin’s mouth. Din Djarin leaned into it, squeezing Luke’s hip a little tighter. “You’re raising a little escape artist, sweetheart.”

The baby cooed again, slapping Luke’s face before grabbing a fistful of his hair. Luke just tilted his head to accommodate it.

I’m rasing a perfectly sweet little baby.” Din Djarin grumbled, removing his hand from Luke’s waist to untangle the baby’s fingers from Luke’s hair. Then he pulled a pack of baby wipes from his back pocket and went about wiping the spit from the baby’s hand before moving to wipe the baby spit from Luke’s cheek and hair. He sounded entirely put out by the whole thing. “Boba’s turning him into an escape artist.”

Han let out a gasp.

A very loud gasp.

Luke snapped his head up. Leia, not able to duck back quickly enough, stayed perfectly still, hoping that maybe if she didn’t move Luke wouldn’t see her. It had worked pretty well when they were kids. They stared at each other. Neither of them blinked.

“Did you follow me?” Luke didn’t quite yell it, but it was pretty close.

“No.” Leia said. It did not sound convincing. She was a better liar than that. She has built half of her career on being able to lie well, for God’s sake. “I needed—uh—“ she looked back into the aisle she had ducked into and winced. “…diapers.”

Han tugged on her jacket. “Leia—!”

“I am not pregnant, Han.” Leia hissed, not daring to take her eyes off Luke. She could see Din Djarin fidgeting awkwardly, but not moving away from Luke. If anything it looked like he was shuffling closer.

Han squinted at her. “That wasn’t what I was going to say, but thanks for that overly confident statement.”

“Leia what the fuck is wrong with you?” Luke hissed.

“That’s a really good question that I don’t have to answer.” Leia smiled brightly. “See you on Sunday, dork. It was nice meeting you, Din.”

“Leia! Leia come back here you son of a bitch—!”

Leia dragged Han out of the Babies R Us.

Ahsoka

Luke and Ahsoka shared a planning period.

It was just before lunch, which really meant they just ate an early lunch themselves and took the time to decompress and clean up a bit before Luke’s kids came back from recess and Ahsoka’s came back from gym class. There was very little planning involved. Ahsoka taught fifth graders as opposed to Luke’s room full of kindergarteners, so she usually had significantly less cleaning up to do than Luke and more often than not left it until the last minute so she could spend more time with her nephew. But with Valentine’s Day coming up faster than a man sprinting for his life, Ahsoka’s room had taken a hit.

She could only imagine how bad Luke’s must be.

The room probably looked like a disco crossed with a murder scene with how much glitter and red confiti must be on the floor.

Ahsoka winced at the thought as she threw the last dustpan full of construction paper clippings into the recycle bin and picked up an extra chocolate chip muffin for Luke from the cafeteria.

She stopped dead in her tracks before she even walked into Luke’s room, hovering just far enough from the doorway to not be seen. It looked even worse than what Ahsoka had imagined—there was so much glitter and the janitor was probably going to kill Luke and Ahsoka was going to have to tell Anakin and Padmé that their son died because of his god awful fondness for glitter—but that wasn’t what had caught her eye. No, what had surprised her was the man sitting at Luke’s desk in the extra chair, leaning forward to pluck a foam pink heart sticker from Luke’s hair with all the grace and delicacy of a swan.

“Aww,” Luke grinned. He was holding a Starbucks cup that Ahsoka knew he didn’t have this morning. She could see the steam rising up from it. “You should keep it. Very flattering on you.”

The man rolled his eyes, but stuck the sticker to his shirt, just below the collar. It was a work shirt for one of the local mechanic shops. Peli’s, if Ahsoka remembered the logo right. “You have so much glitter in your hair.”

“It’s a good look on me, don’t you think?”

The man hummed softly. Then he smiled, leaned in and gently kissed Luke before pulling back. He kept a hand on Luke’s knee, lifting the other to push Luke’s bangs out of his eyes. Even from this far away Ahsoka could see the shower of glitter that got dislodged with it. She hoped it was edible, with how much that must have just been dumped into Luke’s Starbucks cup.

“Very flattering.” He repeated, and Luke grinned.

This was Din Djarin.

“I should be getting back,” Din sounded only a little reluctant as he stood, offering a hand for Luke as he stood with him. Luke transferred the Starbucks cup to one hand so he could take Din’s. Din was not that much taller than Luke, but something about him made Luke seem almost small in comparison. “I’m not sure how much longer Peli will take babysitting seriously.»

“Oh, you know she loves Grogu too much to let him get in the really dangerous stuff.”

“That is not as comforting as you think it is.”

Luke snorted out a laugh, and Din smiled before leaning down and pressing a kiss to the least glittered part of Luke’s forehead. He wrapped Luke in his arms, held him close like he didn’t ever want to let him go. And Luke seemed perfectly happy to stay there. “I’ll see you tonight, my love.” Then, in a little more of a firmer tone, “Try not to forget your lunch again.”

“I make no promises.” Luke said cheerily.

One of them was staying at the other’s house.

Ahsoka bit her cheek as she felt a smile creep up onto her lips.

Din shook his head, the motion far more fond than exasperated and very clearly well practiced, and kissed Luke one last time before leaving with a soft and murmured I love you. Luke murmured it back, hunched his shoulders and held his cup between both his hands again as he watched Din leave, and Ahsoka scrambled to make it look like she had just walked down the hall instead of having been standing there for the past few minutes.

If Din noticed, he didn’t say anything.

He walked past Ahsoka with a nod in a quiet greeting, and then he was gone.

For a moment, all she could think was BROAD. Din’s shirt was tight enough to see his muscles and the tapered waist, and while Ahsoka had never had more than a passing interest in men she could certainly see why Luke would like what Din was carrying. Then she blinked and shook her head and walked into her nephew’s classroom with a bright smile.

Luke froze like a startled deer.

“I won’t tell Anakin.” Ahsoka said easily before Luke could even say anything. He relaxed slightly, but still stared Ahsoka down with a suspicious glare. So she smiled even wider and looked around the room and let out a single toneless hum. “It looks like you murdered someone in a gay club in here.”

“That was the vibe I was going for.” Luke replied.

Ahsoka snorted and grabbed a broom. “Well you sure nailed it.”

Obi-Wan

Obi-Wan had been in Luke’s neighborhood, which was the only reason he had decided to drop in on his nephew this early in the morning.

His dropping in, however, didn’t go any further than the front door.

“Uncle Ben!” As quickly as Luke had opened the door he had closed it again, only this time he was standing in the hall of his apartment on the same side of the door as Obi-Wan. He didn’t fully close it, and Obi-Wan watched in amusement as Luke glanced back inside and adjusted his robe to try and fail to hide the smattering of hickies on his collar bone. “What, uh, what are you doing here?”

“I was going to ask if you wanted to get breakfast,” Obi-Wan answered. “But I can see that you’re already engaged with other activities.”

Luke went bright red.

“Is he your boyfriend?” Obi-Wan peered over Luke’s shoulder and who he presumed was Din. Din was doing a fairly good job of hiding his face behind a coffee mug as he hunched over the kitchen counter.

Luke’s silence was answer enough.

“You should bring him to family dinner,” Obi-Wan continued. He straightened back up and gave Luke a lazy smile. “Everyone is getting curious.”

“I know, I just–” Luke crossed his arms high over his chest, shuffled and fidgited and looked at anything that wasn’t Obi-Wan. Ah. This was a serious relationship then, and not one of Luke’s little flings.

“Want to keep him to yourself for a little while?” Obi-Wan finished with a gentle smile.

Obi-Wan hummed softly. He had been where Luke was a few times, understood the sort of giddy feelings that only came with a love that was so new and strong. And a part of him very suddenly hoped that Luke would get to be where Obi-Wan is now, settled into a gentle love that had been just as strong as when it first began. “I suppose I’ll just have to get breakfast by myself.”

Luke winced. “Sorry.”

“Oh, nonsense,” Obi-Wan waved his hand. “No need to apologize. It’s a small price to pay to see the–” he paused, looked at Luke’s collarbone again. “—vigorous joys of young love.”

Luke tried to hit him, but Obi-Wan easily dodged it.

Padmé

Padmé Amidala-Skywalker was surprised to see her son sitting in the lobby of the court building when she walked into work that Saturday morning, if not pleased.

He was sitting in one of the uncomfortable plastic chairs that Padmé had spent years fighting with Palpitine to try and get replaced, wearing his ratty day off pair of jeans and a maroon sweater that looked far too big to be his, along with a silver knitted hat that Padmé didn’t ever recall seeing her son wear. It had a large green pom pom attached to the top. There was a backpack resting against his leg—opened just enough to see an old brick of a laptop, a notebook stuffed with papers, and a few law textbooks—and a diaper bag resting against Luke’s other leg.

Padmé zeroed in on it.

It had little frogs plastered all over the creamed colored canvas fabric and looked suspiciously stain free. Even Padmé hadn’t managed to keep Luke and Leia’s diaper bag completely clean. It was very cute, very neat and organized from what she could see, but why the hell would Luke have a diaper bag? For a brief moment, Padmé thought her son might have gotten a girl pregnant, but she dismissed that thought as quickly as it came. Luke was as gay as the day was long and she had been well aware of that long before Luke was.

And then Padmé noticed the baby sleeping on Luke’s chest.

Oh god, did Luke steal it? Padmé had never thought her son was the type but he always did get a little dreamy and starry eyed when he saw babies. She knew he wanted his own kids—had known since he was five and was stealing Leia’s dolls to carry around and take care of—and the closer Luke got to his thirties the more his baby fever seemed to set in. He would look at baby clothes when Padmé took him shopping, pick up toys to look at before putting them back, get a little too excited for someone who didn’t have a child when diapers and formula were on sale at a decently reasonable price.

Or maybe, Padmé’s more logical and less sleep deprived brain said, he’s just watching the baby for someone who’s in the middle of a court case.

It would not be the first time Luke had done something like that.

When Luke had still been in highschool and spent days at the courthouse with Padmé, not wanting to be home alone while Leia was off doing her mock debates and Anakin was pulling long shifts at the mechanics, he had often watched the babies and young children that got dragged into court with their parents. He took care of them and kept them happy and entertained when their parents had to settle arguments and debts. He had always been good with kids, even back then.

Padmé bit back an irritated sigh.

She needed more sleep if her first thought had been that her son had stolen a baby.

Ani had certainly done his best to coax her away from her case and go to bed nearly every single night this week, but he had not been all that successful.

Quite suddenly Luke perked up, nudging the baby into a little bit more of an awake state while he stood. The baby scrunched up his nose and grunted, but he too perked up when he saw what Luke had woken him up for.

“You get everything you needed?” Luke asked. He tilted his head up, accepting a sweet and quick kiss from a man that was wearing a knitted hat that was a near replica of the one Luke wore.

The man hummed in confirmation, ducking down to scoop up the diaper bag and slip a notebook back into the backpack before zipping it up and picking that up too. Luke took the backpack from him before he could get it on his shoulder, smiling brightly while shrugging it onto his own and doing very little to disturb the baby in the process. The baby punched his arms out of the green blanket he was swaddled in, waving them around and babbling loudly.

The man huffed out a laugh, dropping a kiss to the top of the baby’s head as he wrapped his arm around Luke’s waist.

Oh, Padmé realized.

This was Luke’s boyfriend.

She was so caught up in the sudden realization that she hadn’t even seen Luke and Din leave the courthouse until they were standing right in front of her.

“Hi, sweetie!” Padmé snapped out of it quickly enough, crossing the last few feet of distance between them. She cradled Luke’s cheeks in her gloved hands, kissing his temple in greeting. “What are you doing here so early on a Saturday?”

“Din needed to observe a case for class,” Luke mumbled. He was trying to squirm away.

“Oh?” Padmé turned to look at Din. He had a very kind face, she thought. “Luke did mention you were in school.”

Din’s cheeks were a faint pink, and Padmé didn’t think it was entirely from the February chill. “I’m just–taking a few night classes at the community college.”

“Really? You’ll have to tell me all about it tomorrow night.” Padmé left very little room for argument with her tone. “I’ve got a case I need to get to, but I’ll see you tomorrow!” She kissed Luke’s temple again, kissed Din’s cheek before she could really think about it, waved goodbye to the baby, then hurried into the courthouse before Luke could recover enough to start arguing.

Anakin

Luke was sitting on the front counter of Anakin’s new favorite mechanic shop, talking to whoever it was that was ducked behind the counter–Anakin wasn’t sure who it was. All he could see was a curly mop of brown hair. Luke hadn’t even noticed Anakin come in despite the merry little jingle of the bell that was hung above the door.

“Luke.” Anakin said slowly.

Like blinked, paused, then turned to look at him with the irritated look of someone being interrupted from something important. Then his eyes went wide. “Dad!”

Whoever it was that was behind the counter jerked, bumping head against the underside of what sounded like a shelf, if the rattling was anything to go by. They shot up, eyes going nearly as wide as Luke’s as they saw Anakin.

Anaking didn’t know why. It was just Din. Anakin may be a new customer, but they’ve seen each other a few times now.

And Anakin didn’t think he was that scary.

Not anymore, anyway.

“What are you doing here?” Luke asked. He sounded nervous. He looked nervous. He lifted a hand to run through his hair, tugging it out of his face. Then he switched to fiddling with a pen that was on the counter, twisting it between his fingers and clicking it every so often. Then he dropped that and twisted the hem of his shirt in his hands.

“I’m here to pick up my motorcycle.” Anakin answered. He narrowed his eyes. “What are you doing here?”

Luke floundered for a moment. “I’m uh. Visiting my boyfriend.”

He was looking at anything that wasn’t Anakin, and Din was very pointedly looking at the computer and only the computer.

It took Anakin a second.

“My mechanic is your boyfriend?”

“Well, technically–” Luke started, but then he stopped when his phone gave a rather violent buzz and scooted halfway across the counter. Din scooped it up before it could fall off and go tumbling to the ground, glancing at the screen and unlocking it like it was his own phone before handing it to Luke. Anakin watched in quiet wonder as Luke thanked him–Luke, who hated when people touched his phone–and frowned at whatever it was that was on the screen. “I gotta–”

“I know.” Din smiled softly.

Luke smiled back just as softly.

“I’ll be back in a little bit.” Luke murmured. And like Anakin wasn’t even there he leaned over, pressing a kiss to the corner of Din’s mouth before pulling back.

Din looked completely besotted. “Drive safe.”

“I always do.” Luke grinned, as if that wasn’t the biggest lie Anakin had heard. He hopped down off the counter, grabbed a silver knitted hat and keys to a car that definitely wasn’t his–Anakin would know if his son drove around a shitty honda civic because he didn’t raise him to be like that–then kissed Din one last time before rushing past Anakin and out the door.

Din went back to staring at the computer.

Din visibly relaxed.

Anakin made his payment, Din handed back over the keys and told him with the sort of tone only a disappointed father could really manage to stop trying to drag race a motorcycle it doesn’t work, Anakin pretended to take that advice, and as he was just about to start the motorcycle back up and drive home he caught Luke out of the corner of his eye, walking back into the shop with a baby in his arms.

And stared some more.

Cody

“It’s good to see you again, Din.” Obi-Wan’s husband greeted Din with a gentle hug when they walked through the front door, which caused the rest of Luke’s family to go eerily silent. “Didn’t quite realize you were the boyfriend Luke kept talking about.”

Din smiled a little awkwardly, and held Grogu closer to his chest like a safety shield.

Anakin coughed loudly into his hand.

“What do you mean by again, my dear?” Obi-Wan asked. His voice sounded dangerously nutural.

“Din’s friends with my brother.” Cody answered, and Luke took that moment to wrap his arm around Din’s waist and guide him and Grogu to the kitchen and ignored Cody’s pleading glace back at him. Padmé was there, and it tended to be significantly less dangerous wherever Padmé was. “I see him every once in a while.”

“Which brother?” Han demanded.

Cody answered after a beat of silence. “Boba.”

Luke got Din to the kitchen right after Han screeched.

“We’re staying in here for at least the next hour.” Luke hissed.

I found this hanging out in my drafts and I decided to finish it up for ya’ll. I had fun writing it, and I hope you have just as much fun reading it

Перевод Ellise – Keep It To Myself

Текст :

Honestly when we speak
Feels like it’s behind her back
‘Cause if she saw the chemistry
I know that it would hurt her bad
She’s not the one you call
At night when you feel lonely
We say we’re friends, we know we’re not

I know that I should keep it to myself
But I can’t, I can’t help
That I just wanna keep you to myself
It’s a rush, it’s a problem
Do you think she knows about us?
Talking all the time, we almost kissed last night and we still might
I should keep it to myself
Can you tell? I can’t help it
That I just wanna keep you to myself

When I say everything

I know that I should keep it to myself
But I can’t, I can’t help
That I just wanna keep you to myself
It’s a rush, it’s a problem
Do you think she knows about us?
Talking all the time, we almost kissed last night and we still might
I should keep it to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

To myself (oh baby)

If you ever need a helper (hey)

You should know that I’ll be there day and night

Nobody else could love you better (better)

I’m here just to treat you right

You’re the reason I’m alive (yeah)

You’re the only pain I can endure

But when you’re not here

You’re my dream, but I just wanna

Yeah, I just wanna

You’re my dream, but I just wanna

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

To myself (but I just wanna)

Deep inside I knew from the start

You’re my Bonnie I’m your Clyde

From now to eternity I give you all my heart

We are meant to be it’s clear to see

My love is bigger than I thought

I got everything I want

When I hold you with my arms

Love is to mother

My love or my pleasure

To keep to my treasure

Whatever the weather

Day up and night

Will do till’ I die

How many times for you I will try

Want you to notice

The one that I know this

Perfect soulmate I wanna show off

My best friend, she saved my life

My happy end in hard times

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

But I just wanna

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

But I just wanna

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

Have you to myself

To myself (oh baby)

Перевод песни To Myself

«Keep It To Myself» lyrics

Ellise Lyrics

«Keep It To Myself»

Honestly when we speak
Feels like it’s behind her back
‘Cause if she saw the chemistry
I know that it would hurt her bad
She’s not the one you call
At night when you feel lonely
We say we’re friends, we know we’re not

I know that I should keep it to myself
But I can’t, I can’t help
That I just wanna keep you to myself
It’s a rush, it’s a problem
Do you think she knows about us?
Talking all the time, we almost kissed last night and we still might
I should keep it to myself
Can you tell? I can’t help it
That I just wanna keep you to myself

When I say everything
Everything except the truth
Scared to sit close to you
‘Cause I don’t trust what I might do
You stay here a bit too long
My heart, it beats unsteady
We say we’re friends, we know we’re not

I know that I should keep it to myself
But I can’t, I can’t help
That I just wanna keep you to myself
It’s a rush, it’s a problem
Do you think she knows about us?
Talking all the time, we almost kissed last night and we still might
I should keep it to myself
Can you tell? I can’t help it
That I just wanna keep you to myself

Don’t wanna let you go but you gotta know
That I need you, I need you badly
Oh, so tell me why, why you’re still with her
When you know that deep down you want me
Don’t wanna let you go but you gotta know
That I need you, I need you badly
Oh, so tell me why (tell me why), why you’re still with her (still with her)
When you know that deep down you want me

I know that I should keep it to myself
But I can’t (I can’t), I can’t help
That I just wanna keep you to myself (myself)
It’s a rush (it’s a rush), it’s a problem
Do you think she knows about us?
Talking all the time, we almost kissed last night and we still might
I should keep it to myself (to myself)
Can you tell (can you tell)? I can’t help it
That I just wanna keep you to myself
