Male fish live on the back of female ones that are much I bigger in size. Not long ago, a Black sea devil was filmed in its natural environment for the first I time. The fish was then brought to the surface alive for further monitoring. It was placed in a cool, dark container. Scientists want to know if it can sense magnetic fields like sharks do. A set of experiments will help to find out.

Grammar-translation method

A common situation: a person who is confident in their knowledge of English travels abroad and cannot say anything. If this has happened to you, don’t beat yourself up. Most likely, you have become a victim of the grammar-translation method. Don’t worry, hope is not lost. Pay more attention to listening and speaking practice. This will help you develop the skills you lack.

This technique also has a positive side: it provides a solid base. Grammatical constructions connect words in a language, and without them, the logic of the narrative will be lost. The trick is to translate knowledge from theory into practice: combine the grammar-translation method with others. The next time you learn a rule, immediately say an example for it out loud. Whenever you’ve learned a new word — make a sentence with it, and so on.

Audiolingual method

This method is the opposite of grammar-translation — another extreme in the studies of a foreign language. The speech has the spotlight here, and grammar is secondary. The technique involves listening to audio recordings multiple times and repeating after the speakers. The student must bring the phrases to automatism. As a result, you will understand the peculiarities of pronunciation and intonation, repeat sentences, but do it unconsciously. So talking about speech skills, this technique is not the most reliable.

The method suits people who are most receptive to the information they are hearing. However, it is better to use it only as a supplement and for advanced further development of a foreign language. Beginners should not be taught only by the audiolingual method.

Matrix method

This approach is similar to the audiolingual in that it involves listening and repeating texts. The technique consists of two main parts:

Matrices are dialogues and monologues composed of grammatical structures and vocabulary on various topics. For example: flight, shop, car rental. By repeating them aloud, you memorize speech patterns. At the same time, you need to study unfamiliar words. After getting through some matrices, proceed to read a book in a foreign language. This way, you will consolidate the material you have learned and enrich your vocabulary.

A very simple matrice example

This approach takes a lot of time and effort. To speak a foreign language with its help, you need to set aside several hours every day to memorize dialogues. In general, the technique is interesting and even effective for some, but it takes up valuable time.

Communicative method

It is for a reason that the communicative method has gained such popularity. It is fun and allows students to quickly achieve results. If your goal is to speak a foreign language, then this is definitely the approach for you. Communicate as much as possible, but keep vocabulary and grammar in mind. In the communicative method, you will still learn them, but it suggests much less attention paid to these aspects.

Immersion in the language environment

If you want to quickly learn a language, there is nothing better than to surround yourself with it. This is a 100% working option. You can take a chance and fly away, for example, to Vietnam, without knowing the language at all. Then you simply have no choice but to learn it on the spot. However, it is better to leave such experiments for the time when you have at least somewhat solid linguistic ground.

You can immerse yourself in the language environment at home. Create it yourself: translate social networks into the desired language, watch movies, speak, read, think in it. Use it in your daily life. It is less efficient than living in another country, but much cheaper. A great way to use this method is language courses abroad.

ДОПОЛНЕНИЯ К УСТНОЙ ЧАСТИ ЭКЗАМЕНА ПО АНГЛИЙСКОМУ ЯЗЫКУ В 9 КЛАССЕ (ОГЭ)

Английский артикль the имеет два варианта прочтения:

— [ðə] перед существительным, начинающимся на согласную букву.

— [ðɩ] перед существительным, начинающимся на гласную букву.

Чтение модального глагола can двумя разными вариантами: [ k æ n ]/[ k ǝ n ]:

— Can I use your pen ? – [ k æ n ], т.к. служебное слово стоит в начале предложения, попадая в данном случае под ударение.

· Отвечая на вопрос или пункт плана уч-ся может дать три возможных варианта ответа: полный, неполный и неточный. Каждый из них оценивается в соответствии с критериями.

Так, точным считается ответ, соответствующий содержанию пункта плана или предложенному вопросу:

— What do you use the Internet for? – I use the Internet mainly for looking for necessary information, communicating with my friends and entertaining.

Так, незначительный отход от темы, избыточная информация, незначительные затруднения понимания из-за языкового оформления считаются неточным ответом:

— What do you use the Internet for ? – People use the Internet for … (нам необходимо дать ответ, касающийся именно нас, а не третьих посторонних лиц);

Неполным ответом будет считаться тот ответ, в котором частично отсутствует какая-либо запрашиваемая информация в вопросе:

— How old are you? – I am 13 (years old). (ответ считается полным согласно критериям оценивания второго задания. Это полное предложение)

— How old are you? – 13. (ответ считается неполным согласно критериям оценивания второго задания, т.к. это всего лишь одно слово, а не полное предложение)

· типичные ошибки считаются за 1: например, сделано несколько ошибок на артикль the в разных частях текста/монолога – это 1 ошибка.

Ø ребенок должен выработать навык скорости чтения, чтобы уложиться в предложенные 2 минуты.

Ø учитываются абсолютно все неточности, малейшие погрешности. Именно поэтому ребенок должен максимально четко и точно вычитывать предложенный текст

Ø если дается транскрипция к сложному для произношения слову, то уч-ся обязан правильно прочесть это слово, согласно всем правилам транскрипционных обозначений!

Ø вопросы даются в записи!

Ø стараться четко ответить на вопрос, избегая при этом излишней и избыточной информации. Если в начале ответа была дана четкая информация по вопросу, а уч-ся продолжил дальше и не уложился во времени, ответ все равно засчитывается; но старайтесь, чтобы лишнего не было в ответе, четко по вопросу!

Ø ответы четко формулировать согласно постановке вопроса: какие подлежащее и сказуемое в вопросе, такие они и в ответе (чтобы ясно прослеживался факт состоявшейся коммуникации).

— What would you recommend teenagers avoid becoming addicted to the Internet – In this case I usually …… (ответ неверный, уход в сторону от нужного варианта ответа на вопрос. Смысл в том, чтобы дать кому-то рекомендацию на запрашиваемую ситуацию, а вовсе не ответ, что вы обычно делаете в таком случае)

Ø если задается два вопроса, то отвечать следует на оба, иначе ответ считается неполным и не засчитывается вообще, т.е. 0 баллов:

— Do you do sport activities on weekdays? What sports do you do?

Ø или же может быть озвучена в начале мини-ситуация, а только потом сам вопрос. Уч-ся должен ответить на вопрос, а не уходить в дебри рассуждений по этой мини-ситуации, соглашаясь или не соглашаясь с ней:

Ø уч-ся должен четко понимать суть вопроса, чтобы дать четкий ответ на него:

Ø если за критерий “ Решение коммуникативной задачи ( РКЗ)” ставится 0 баллов, то и за все задание по всем критериям ставится также 0 баллов, т.е. задание вообще не оценивается

Ø картинки здесь только для поднятия настроения, главное – пункты плана ответа!

Ø если при ответе дано всего 5 или менее фраз, то ставится 0 баллов

Ø 3 фразы – это либо одно сложное предложение, содержащее ответы по всем параметрам вопроса, либо 3 простых распространенных предложения

Ø уч-ся должен помнить, что в его монологическом высказывании обязательно должны быть вступительная и завершающая фразы! Если таковые отсутствуют, тогда в критерии “Организация” он получит только 0 баллов!

Вступительной фразой считается I am going to give a talk about … (тема самого задания)

Завершающей фразой будет That’s all I wanted to say.

Ø определенного шаблона для ответа на это задание, как, например, в 11 классе нет. Уч-ся просто полно и четко с соблюдением всех правил фонетики и грамматики отвечает на все пункты плана. Единственное, что следует помнить – не забывать употреблять средства логической связи в своем монологе причем они должны гармонично сливаться с общим текстом.

Ø при оценивании третьего задания следует следующее: на 1 балл в критерии “Языковое оформление высказывания” разрешается допустить 1-3 грубых ошибок

Ø при оценивании третьего задания следует учитывать следующее: на 2 балла в критерии “организация высказывания” достаточно использовать от 3 и более средств логической связи, на 1 балл – два средства логической связи, а на ноль – 0-1 средство логической связи.

Using the Internet today is very popular and we spend a lot of time doing it. We make new friends, talk to the old ones and communicate with our relatives who live far away using the Internet. We also can study languages or how to cook and all this information is available there. Also the Internet is the best way to spend our free time. We can watch films, listen to music or play games.

As I’ve already said the Internet is the remarkable source of information. It’s possible to find an online course and study how to take photos, for example. People can find teachers from all over the world to find out about the subject they are interested in. The Internet is irreplaceable for people who learn foreign languages. It gives a chance to listen to native speakers and even practice with them.

I can’t live without the Internet and don’t believe that it can be dangerous but my parents do. They say that there are examples of addiction when people couldn’t live a day without the Internet. Also they warn me that some harmful programs from the Internet can damage our computer.

My attitude to the Internet is very positive. It is very helpful for all spheres of life.
