This script is pretty old I made this video for fun long time ago, I don’t recommend making a game with these scripts cause they are not optimized well and will be laggy when theres more stands. But you can still watch it to learn some basic scripting and get started. (Also I did make the script stop asking, just check the upload date)

Advice:
1. Make sure your stuff is organized (cuz the more stands you add.. the more messy it becomes).
2. Try to split the code into functions if you want to modify it later and/or for simplicity purposes.

hey, sorry to bother you, but the stand summoning either doesnt work on r6 or its bugged.
i used a attachment made in the stands models instead of a attachment like rootrig, but it lags behind when summoned
even worse, it doesnt only stick with the player summon, and gets stuck on other players rig attachments. any advice?

There are 2 surprisingly well-known game developers here.

No modules, server tween service and you destroy the stand after they unsummon, everything is the opposite of good for performance, i get you tried to help but at least use modules and client tween service, also don’t delete the stand after they unsummon, if the game models are really unoptimized this will help to improve performance a bit

the only problem i really have is i cant tell if there’s a random space or not because of the space increment he’s using, but other than that this is really helpful

Im using R6 With the R6 Stand, I did the same exact thing you have done. I press Q and nothing. In Output it says «The current identity (2) cannot Class security check (lacking permission 5)»
It turns out In UIS = game:getService I put («UnvalidatedAssetService») Instead of UserInputService

Great tutorial, happy with the results! Everything worked first try despite some typos I made that needed to be fixed, so my fault. Anyways, I’m looking forward to the next one!

By any chance have you encountered your stand duplicating everytime you press Q again? Because I have a feeling I might have done a typo that has caused that.

When i was using this tutorial i did use your exact code and there were no errors but when i withdraw the stand when its fading away the stand body will just go to the spawn instead of staying reletive to me and i think this is because of the coordinates. Do you know how to fix this in anyway?

@Sunder Ice The root part is the part where all the other parts either attach or branch off from. In this case, it would be the torso section.

Kind of works, the stand just does’t go back to my character and instead repeats the same summon process. Must definitely be a roblox’s issue since you didnt need to type out Player in the ServerScript to define the player, whereas I have to do that otherwise it won’t work

it happens if its a group game or a shared game, if its shared the owner has to make the animations, if its a group game, you have to upload the anim *by the name of the group*

How do you make the rigs more smooth?

Select keyframes, right click, animation style or whatever its called then click cubic. if you want them to be more stand-like you can go down once and click «inout»

@Candace_ Dorel Its easy, dont use normal dummy for make animation, search «stand animation» in toolbox for see special dummys. When you pick him you should have two dummy the first is for the stand animation and the second is for character animation ^^ (sorry if my answer is not correct, im french and my translation can be false)
