Topic: My daily routine

At 8 o’clock I meet my friend who lives in the neighboring house and we continue our trip together. On the way we discuss current events, laugh and tell stories to each other. Meeting my friend in the morning cheers me up and makes my school routine better. The route to our school is not very long but we like morning.

There are several options of my further day activities. The thing that never changes is that everything I do, I do with my friends. When it is warm we like to ride bicycles or go to the park. When it is cloudy or rainy we go to the cinema, or to the entertainment center, where we play bowling and pool. Sometimes we visit each other’s homes. In winter we too. There is a huge skating rink in our block with music and lights. We enjoy skating and boys are fond of playing hockey. On the hills near the park we ride snow skates and ski. Also we like to play snowballs.

At 5 o clock I go to the dancing school. I’ve been attending dances since my childhood and I do it very well. I can dance using several styles and my trainer sometimes little children. This activity doesn’t take me more than an hour and a half.

Once a week I with my private teacher. She works in the university that I am going to enter, but I meet with her at her flat. She lives far from me, so I go there by trolleybus or by bus. It takes me about twenty minutes to get to my teacher’s house. During the lesson she gives me various tests, and when I make mistakes, which is my weak point.

On Friday, when I have no homework, I like to visit my granny. She always gives me something tasty. We drink tea and eat pancakes or donuts. I can spend a lot of time at my granny’s. She has a dog, so after the tea we go for a walk with it. The dog’s name is Grey. It is very clever and executes various commands.

At roughly 6.20 a.m., my super loud alarm clock rings near my bed. I usually turn it off and lie for a while. I hate to get up before the dawn. Unfortunately, my classes usually start at 8 o’clock and it takes me to get to the gymnasium. Sometimes I even pretend to be ill but this trick does not work – my parents never believe me.

I really enjoy going to gymnasium – all my best friends study there. But, honestly speaking, I do not like to go there when I am not ready with my paper or not ready for the test. I hate to feel left behind, but sometimes I have not got enough motivation. My teacher of English likes to say that I am a bright pupil but I struggle with foreign languages.

I usually come home at roughly 6 p.m. I have a late dinner and take a rest. As my parents work hard to bring home bacon, they come home only late in the evening. That is why I help my mother with housework – iron our clothes, wipe the dust, clean the floor at the corridor, wash the dishes and, of course, feed our cat. Sometimes I go shopping for food. I also help my younger sister, who is a first former, with her homework. Twice a week I take her to the dance classes. My sister, Yana, is only seven, so I must take care about her. When I»ve got some free time, I prefer to spend it with neighbourhood children and my sister. I don»t like just to sit at home gazing at the television – it is boring, and I am convinced that it is for couch potatoes. I enjoy the company of my soulmates: we ride bikes together, play outdoor games, tell each other funny stories, sometimes we go to the pond to feed ducks.

I start my day early in the morning. I usually get up at 7 a.m. and do things that everybody does at this time: washing, having breakfast and working out for 30 minutes. Also, I get my things, like a wallet, keys, backpack and a tablet, and leave home at about 9 o’clock. I don’t have a car that’s why I go to the bus stop and wait for the bus. It takes 50 minutes to get to my office by it.

My day at work is typical: phone calls, talking to people, answering emails, writing reports and discussing some important issues with my boss. So you can imagine that I have my hands full.

During the day we have a break for lunch. I usually eat in the kitchen with co-workers. Sometimes we play foosball, ping-pong, and video games. Then back to work. I usually leave at 7:15 p.m. After leaving my office I head to downtown where I have dinner with my best friend in our favorite cafe. Then straight from the cafe, I go to the supermarket to buy some food and go home.

While returning home in public transport I always read some interesting tales which I found on the web. I am at home at about half past nine. And the first thing that I have to do is to feed my hungry cat. After that, I can change into more comfortable clothes and prepare supper. I always have a lot of housework to do in the evening, I water the flowers, tidy up my flat and take a shower. Sometimes I watch TV series, Skype to my relatives and play hide-and-seek with my cat. At last, I go to bed at 12.

So now you know how I spend my working day.

My every day activities are quite routine. On weekdays the alarm clock wakes me up and my working day begins. I usually get up at 7 o»clock. If it is spring or summer I jump out of bed, run to the window and open it wide to let the fresh morning air in. I do my physical jerks, wash, clean my teeth and comb my hair. Then I have breakfast. We have dinner at 19.30. As usual dinner consists of soup, fish or roast chicken, potatoes, vegetables and dessert. After dinner we go to the sitting room. There we read books, newspapers and magazines, watch TV, chat with the friends on the phone. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday I attend preparatory courses at the University.

5. My daily schedule

Our dynamic life is full of different activities, and I believe that it is very helpful when you have a scheduled daily routine because it can save your time. I am a schoolboy at present, so let me tell you some words about my daily schedule.

I am not an early bird but as a rule I have to wake up quite early, at 6.30 (six thirty, or half past six) on weekdays. I stay in my bed for 5 or 10 minutes and then I get up. I open the window to let some fresh air enter the room. My morning routine consists of making the bed, taking a shower and having breakfast. At 7 o’clock I go to the kitchen where my mother has already made breakfast for me and my dad. I prefer boiled eggs, a sandwich and a cup of tea in the morning. After breakfast I go to the bathroom again to clean my teeth and comb my hair. I get dressed next. Our school uniform is a shirt and black trousers.

At 7.30 (seven thirty, or half past seven) I leave home and go to school. It takes me about 15 minutes to get there on foot. I often surf the Internet on my phone before the lessons start at 8 a.m. I usually have 5 or 6 lessons every day, so at about 2 o’clock my school is over. We have a long break after the 4th lesson, so I can have lunch in our school canteen.

On my way home I always enjoy my walk. If I am not in a hurry, my friends and I visit a shop or a café before going home. We eat ice-cream and take funny pictures of ourselves. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I attend additional Maths courses at the university, and I also play basketball on Wednesday afternoons. When I get home I try to find some time for a little rest. I watch TV, play computer games, chat on the phone or just listen to music. At about 4 o’clock I start doing my homework. It generally takes me 2 or 3 hours to do that, though sometimes I sit with my homework till late at night.

When my parents come home from their work we usually have dinner. Then I often do the washing-up and take the rubbish out. I go to bed at about 11 p.m. I am usually so tired that I fall asleep at once.

I don’t have enough time for my hobbies during my weekdays, so they seem a bit boring probably. But I often devote my weekends to reading, doing sports and studying English. In winter I mainly go skiing or skating, and in summer I usually go roller-skating, playing football or riding a bicycle.

6. My Daily Routine

As a rule, I get up at half past six. I put on my dressing-gown, go into bathroom and turn on the bath taps. Good health is better than wealth, so I do my morning exercises. I get breakfast at seven-thirty and listen to the news over the radio.

I like to begin the day well, so my breakfast is always a good one. For breakfast I usually have hard-boiled eggs or an omelette, bread and butter, tea or coffee.

Then, I say «Good-bye» to my mother, take my school-bag and go to school. I don»t live far from my school, so it doesn»t take me long to get there. The lessons start at half past eight. Each lesson lasts for 45 minutes. The classes are over at two o»clock.

I come back home, have dinner, wash up and go shopping. I buy foodstuffs for the family. Coming back I begin to clean the house and get the vegetables ready for supper. We have supper at seven. I do my homework for the next day. It usually takes me several hours to prepare well for the lessons.

In the evening, I always try to spend at least an hour at the piano. As a rule my parents and I sit and talk, watch a film on TV, read newspapers and magazines. Sometimes, we go to the cinema or to the theatre. Once or twice a month, I visit exhibitions in my home town. I go to bed at about eleven o»clock, but my parents like to sit up late and write letters or read.

How is this day celebrated in the US?

Children’s day celebration initially takes its roots from a special day to baptize children in the church in 1856, which was originally named Rose Day. Almost a century and a half later, in 1995, President Clinton proclaimed National Children’s Day as October 8th. This initiative was passed onto the next president. when in 2001, George Bush declared the first Sunday of June as National Child’s Day. However, today, this celebration has shifted by a week, to the second Sunday of June.

The usual activities on this day in the US are similar to the ones held around the globe: they include charity events, children shows and concerts, choirs and drummers – all highlighting an openness and a multicultural approach.

What is also very important on that day, is addressing the sustainability topic: children are probably the most important and the most appropriate segment of the world’s population for environmental discourse, as they represent the future generation. Numerous initiatives are taken upon on Children’s day, in order to educate future adults on how to take better care of the planet, today and in the years to come.

The history of the celebration: how was Children’s day invented?

The movement of defending childhood gained an international status due to its proliferation in the late 1940s. The consequences of World War II were highly evident at that point: millions of people lost their lives, the economies of thousands of cities collapsed, crowds of hungry children ended up running around on the streets… At this critical moment, in November 1949, an assembly of the Women’s International Democratic Federation was held in Paris, where a proposition was put forth to establish a new holiday. Without further ado, the new holiday has been created, and in June 1950, Children’s Day was already celebrated in 51 countries!

If the assembly of the Women’s Federation was held in autumn, then why did June 1st become the starting point for a new holiday? Sociologists argue that one of the first-ever international initiatives took place on the first day of summer in 1925. On this day, the Chinese Consulate-General in the US organized a celebration of a holiday in honor of the beginning of summer for the orphan emigrant children. On the same day, an international conference was held in Geneva, where the problems of the younger generation were discussed. Hence, June 1st became the International Children’s Day.

This is one of the few holidays that has its own flag. It depicts the five children in red, blue, white, black and yellow colors. They stand around the globe and hold each other’s hands tightly. This image implies that despite all people being different, they could also be united as one. The green background of the flag symbolizes growth and development.

The declaration of the Rights of the Child was first drafted in 1924 and then adopted by the United Nations in 1959, in the form of a recommendation. Three decades later, in 1989, this Declaration was followed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the UN General Assembly. It entered into force 2 September 1990. Hence, since 1990, World Children’s Day also marks the anniversary of the date that the UN General Assembly adopted both the Declaration and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

World Children’s Day gives each individual an opportunity for an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights, translating these initiatives into actions that will all enable them to build a better world for children.

This year, 2020, is very special, as it marks the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

What do children need to be protected from?

Every continent and every country has got its own threats. Nonetheless, it is, of course, undeniable that children in Europe and Africa face completely different types of problems.

The threats for children that exist in different parts of the world:

The fragile children’s psyche also suffers from conflicts in families, where children themselves often suffer from outbursts of aggression. In the US child abuse is up to 40 times more likely to occur when single parents find new partners. This is often related to alcohol or substance abuse. In this case, the role of social workers becomes even more important as they are required to display a timely reaction to domestic abuse and assist with divorces, restraining orders, etc.

Preserving the physical and psychological health of children is one of the most important issues with which educational institutions are currently dealing. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in the US, 27.1% of the children aged 3-17 years have been diagnosed with either ADHD, depression, anxiety, or behavior problems. Those figures sound alarming, however, on a positive note, out of those numbers, more than 53% of the children successfully receive treatment.

Protect your children in every situation! The « Find my kids » app developed for careful and unintrusive parental control, will enable you to ensure that your child is fully safe even when you are not around. The app can be downloaded from the AppStore and GooglePlay.

Every country has particularities in the celebration of Children’s day. In Russia, the 1st of June marks the beginning of the summer break at schools and universities. In contrast, in Mexico, Children’s Day is celebrated on April 30th, when the school year is in full swing. Teachers and parents let their children out of the classroom early on this day.

In Chile, Children’s day is celebrated twice a year – on the first Wednesday of October and on the second Sunday of August.

In Brazil, the Dia das Crianças falls on October 12th. It is also interesting to note that in this country, this celebration turns 100 years old in 2020! Brazilians have officially directed their attention towards the issues of children back in 1920 for the first time. The person who had initiated this celebration was the deputy of the federal assembly. In a few years, in 1924, the date of October 12th was officially approved.

In contrast, in Australia, the country has made the decision not to limit themselves to one day of such a celebration. The country has dedicated an entire week to praise children. The residents of the Philippines have taken it onto an even larger scale, having dedicated a whole month to children.

On this day, all across the globe, various events take place, such as exhibitions of children’s art, celebratory concerts, charity events, and discussion round tables – all devoted to issues of childhood and adolescence.

In the US, on Children’s Day, which is not an official national holiday, the doors of hundreds of libraries, cultural centers, and public organizations open exceptionally, with the goal of motivating children to study and gain knowledge. Initially, the holiday was created to draw the attention of parents to the religious education of their children.

In Australia, during the National Children’s week, volunteers devote particular attention to children who have encountered themselves in a difficult life situation. Much attention is paid to children in foster families and pupils of specialized boarding schools. The main idea of this celebration is to give children an opportunity to enjoy their childhood.

In Japan, Children’s day is celebrated 3 times a year! The celebration is divided according to gender. On girls’ day, on March 3rd, people in Japan adorn their houses with dolls and fruits. On boys’ day, on May 5th – all of the attention is devoted to the culture of the samurai.

Last but not least, on November 15th, Japanese people celebrate the « shichi-go-san » which translates as « seven-five-three » and celebrates children of all ages and genders. Why those numbers? For Japanese people, those numbers are considered to be magical and the happiest ages of a child’s life. This celebration has a history that is almost three centuries old.

Two different dates for celebrating separately the day of the girls and the day of the boys exist in Sweden, too. On August 7th, boys have their celebration, and on December 13th, it is the turn of the girls. Boys usually put on lobster costumes as this is associated with courage, and perform in front of the public. Girls do not have a masquerade, however, on their day, they turn into little goddesses (which is associated with the country’s folklore) and do good deeds.

Ecuador has a tradition of handing out gifts to children of the age below 12 years old. Nevertheless, it surely does not mean that parents cannot spoil their older children a little bit on the 1st of June.

In Indonesia, festive events take place all around the country, and more than 400 fully functioning specialized help centers. The « Worthy Children » program has been launched in the country with the plan to raise the « golden » generation by 2045. Well, there is more than enough time for the realization of such a noble goal!

In China, this day is considered as a day off for schoolchildren and students. A large proportion of employers let their workers take a day off too, to go and celebrate Children’s day. Museums, cinemas and other cultural institutions are free for visitors on June 1st.

The holiday takes place during the school year as Chinese students study until the end of June, therefore, Children’s day is celebrated at school, however, classes are canceled on this day. Educational institutions organize concerts for children and give out gifts. What is interesting is that parents are usually not invited to these events, all because it is a children’s holiday! There is a tradition of holding a fair on June 1, during which children sell various goods or homemade food. The funds accumulated during those fairs are sent to help low-income families in poor areas of the country.

Germany has been divided into two parts during the years of the Cold War. On June 1st, in the Eastern part of the country, children were given sweets and toys, while in the Western part, on September 20th, the emphasis was heavily placed on politics and improving the living conditions of young people. After the unification of the GDR and the FRG, the country managed to keep both of the holidays and the traditions of their celebration.

In India, the problem of schooling is particularly acute. Children’s Day is celebrated on the birthday of one of the leaders of the state, Jawaharlal Nehru. He believed that the future of the nation depends on children’s’ social care which should be at the highest level. On November 14, a large number of educational, motivational and cultural events are held all around the country.

In Brazil, Children’s Day has been celebrated along with the feast of the Marian apparition for over a hundred years! Masquerades, concerts, and processions take place around the country on this day. The tradition of holding holiday sales firstly appeared in Brazil in the 1960s. At first, several companies were offering children products at discounted prices, today there are dozens and dozens of them.

In Russia, the 1st of June marks the beginning of the summer break at schools. This is also the case for the CIS countries. On June 1st, parents, teachers, and public figures receive their rewards.

People in Spain are known for their love for freedom and large public events, especially in parks. Celebrations are often held in the open air and they are free to anyone who wishes to join in for fun flash mobs or concerts.

In the UK, on this day, charity activities traditionally take place. The Queen’s subjects also conduct political speeches in which they demand a review of the state’s position. The government is criticized for « excessive care » about childhood, which borders on cruelty. In England, there are 50 parental litigation cases per 10,000 families. It may sometimes reach the point of absurdity – a child can be taken away from a family due to the fact that they are, for example, suffering from obesity.

Children’s Day is an opportunity to tackle some key worldwide problems. Behind the numerous vibrant events, hides the huge amount of work of entire communities. These include the consolidation of the rights of the young generation and their subsequent protection, the development of health programs of preventative measures, and the reduction of the level of aggression in the society.

On this day, it is worth remembering that young people may encounter some very « grown-up » problems. Children should have the right to education and rest, as well as to their freedom of thought and expression. This holiday acts as a reminder to listen to children more often, without forgetting that, first and foremost, children are in need of love and care, which is something that cannot be replaced by material things. It is highly important to lead by example, day in, day out, 365 days per year.

72 Original Ways to Ask Your Boyfriend “How Was Your Day?”

How was the day. Смотреть фото How was the day. Смотреть картинку How was the day. Картинка про How was the day. How was the day

The last thing you’d want after a long and tiring day is to find your partner unresponsive or uninterested in you. And yet, sometimes we all forget to ask this simple question, “How was your day?” Don’t wait until your boyfriend asks you about your day; ask him first and show that you genuinely care about him.

Here you will find the list of alternatives to the simple “How was your day?” question that will open up opportunities for conversation and strengthen your relationship.

Why asking “How was your day?” is important

Asking your boyfriend, “How was your day?” signals to him that you are interested in his life, his daily experiences, and his emotional reactions to these. Showing that you are invested in his well-being is an essential gesture in a loving, respectful, and healthy relationship.

Asking him, “How was your day?” is a loving and caring thing to do in a relationship. However, if this question is repeated every evening word for word without variation, it can become just as mundane as the working day he has just finished. In worse cases, it can even come across as insincere or even lazy, which is the last thing you want.

Whether you live together or just talk or text over the phone, it is essential to let your boyfriend know that you are interested in his daily life. It can be surprisingly difficult to show him your support in fresh and exciting ways during everyday life.

However, if you can manage it, asking him how his day was can be a great way to provide him with an opportunity to open up to you. Asking your boyfriend the right questions may even teach you things about him that you never knew before!

Cute and caring ways to ask, “How was your day?”

Your boyfriend may be working a job, studying for a qualification, or even both. Whatever the case, he has most likely faced at least some difficulty on any given day. There is nothing more soothing than receiving care and attention from our partners.

In some cases, you might be able to help him to de-stress from a long day. Different guys like to blow off steam in different ways—for some, a wild night out is the best remedy for stress, while for others, a quiet night in cuddled up to you on the sofa while watching Netflix will be perfect.

Some of these open-ended questions are great at helping you learn exactly how your guy likes to relax, and can even end up giving you some great date night ideas. In situations where you might not be able to help him yourself (you may well have had an exhausting day too!), some of these cute and caring questions allow him to vent and open up to you in ways he might not feel able to as much with others.

Small talk about his day

Small talk is often criticized, but it actually fulfills an incredibly useful role. While these next questions aren’t as “deep” or probing as other questions, they provide simple and effective alternatives to “How was your day?” and can be used in many situations.

Small talk allows you to get the basic facts about your partner’s day, although it can also lead to more in-depth conversations. While not every question here applies to every job out there, they can be tweaked a little to fit your boyfriend’s specific occupation.

Funny ways to ask, “How was your day?”

We don’t always want to answer serious questions as soon as we get home from work. Sometimes your boyfriend will just want some more light-hearted conversation after a difficult day. After all, we come to our partners for humor, distraction, and emotional support!

They say that laughter is the best medicine. If you really want to give your boyfriend a laugh, these questions can lead to some humorous banter that shows him you are fun to be around.

On the other hand, if his coworkers or clients have been testing his patience, some of these questions can let him vent to you. Once he has opened up, you can laugh about it together. Knowing that your partner is on your side is extremely important in a relationship!

Flirty ways to ask, “How was your day?”

Adulthood comes with plenty of responsibilities, but thankfully it has its perks too! Flirting with your boyfriend can be a great way of helping him forget the stresses and obligations of adult life.

Besides humor, suggestive teasing is a highly-effective distraction from the daily grind (no pun intended!). Not to mention, your own mind might be racing with steamy thoughts when your boyfriend comes home still in uniform.

It’s incredible how quickly the worries can disappear from a man’s mind when he opens a cheeky text message or has something naughty whispered in his ear!

Conversation starters about his day

It is well-known that communication is essential for a healthy relationship. It is crucial for both partners to feel heard and listened to by the other. However, communication is not just limited to asking a certain number of questions—asking the right kind of questions is just as vital!

The most provocative questions are not just about the answers; they are ways of starting engaging conversations between the two of you. These questions can really help you learn about your man’s inner emotional world rather than just the routine events of his day.

“Checking up” questions to ask during the day

You don’t have to wait until your partner has finished work to contact him. Most couples send at least a couple of messages to each other before the end of the working day to remind each other that they are thinking of them. Sometimes these messages are as simple as “How has your day been so far?” but other times, they can be more engaging!

If you want to check up on how your boyfriend is doing, whether he is on his lunch break or during a quiet moment, these questions are a great way of making him smile. You can even give him something to look forward to helping him get through the rest of the day!

There are many different ways to ask the man in your life how his day was. You don’t have to pressure yourself to come up with something completely original every single day. Still, it is always good for your relationship to vary things a bit. Asking the right questions can show your boyfriend that you care, help him to open up and unwind after a long day, and lead to a meaningful conversation.

13 Clever Ways to Ask: How Was Your Trip?

Traveling is one of our favorite things to talk about. In fact, we always find ourselves asking others about recent trips and often get the best tips from those who experienced a location or destination first hand. In this post, we’ll share with you our 13 clever ways to expand on the popular question “How was your trip”, to learn more about someone’s recent travel adventure.

How was your trip?

“How was your trip” – The go-to question to kick off a travel conversation. We are very intrigued to learn about new locations as well as listening to someone else’s opinion of a location we’ve already been. Here’s the quick list of our 13 go to questions we ask to dive deeper into the How was your trip, conversation.

How is the culture?

This question is more specific for international travel, however, there are plenty of cultures within the United States depending on which region you visit. We love to ask about the culture to get an idea of what to expect. However this is completely subjective so if someone has a bad experience at a particular location, it does not mean you will!

Are the locals friendly?

Asking if the locals are friendly ties closely to the question about the culture. However if you can get a gauge on whether the locals are friendly that will provide insight if a location is welcoming to tourists!

We found throughout our travels that Denmark (Copenhagen in particular) are some of the friendliest locals we’ve ever met. But this is just from our experience!

How is the food?

Are you a foodie? If so then this is likely your go to follow up question after “How was your trip?”! Many locations have at least one or two food meals or snacks that originated there and are must tries! One of our favorite local meals is a Belgium Waffle, which we had when we visited Brussels, Belgium.

Below is a picture of a local meal from a recent trip visiting Finland.

Is it packed with tourists?

Many popular locations can be jammed pack with tourists. For example, when we were in Switzerland, we visited a lot of the mountain tops in the Swiss Alps. For one of the mountains we visited, the Top of Europe (Jungfraujoch), there was a massive group of tourists that took over the entire place! Most of the time we like to avoid group tours so we often find ourselves asking this question and we will visit a place during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds.

Is it expensive?

This is a general question but you will quickly get a gauge on how expensive a particular location is. Sometimes food is really expensive, but hospitality is relatively cheap and vice versa. Sometimes, everything is expensive, like Switzerland (HOLY SMOKES!).

We found that the Switzerland is the most expensive country we have visited so far, but Western Europe and Scandinavia are pretty expensive comparable to the coastal cities in the United States.

Southeast Asia is by far the cheapest location we’ve ever visited.

What currency is used? Is credit and debit cards accepted?

Another question that applies for more international travel. What currency do they use and whether or not they accept credit or debit cards. The latter part of this question is a game changer for us. We always try to pay with credit cards whenever possible to get the best exchange rates while traveling, avoid foreign exchange fees, and to accumulate points and miles for future travels.

Did you get good weather?

The weather is one of the most critical things that can make or break a trip. Diving deeper into the conversation with did you get good weather can lead to learning more if the success of a trip is dependent on the weather. For example if someone is traveling to a beach location and it rained the entire time, their trip may not be as enjoyable as if it was sun shine and rainbows.

Is the location heavily dependent on seasons?

Understanding if a particular location is dependent on seasons is good insight for future travel. For example, we live in a coastal city in New Jersey close to Atlantic City. Other than Atlantic City, the Jersey Shore pretty much shuts down after Labor Day until Memorial Day every year so you want to keep that in mind if you want to get your typical Jersey Shore vacation.

Below are a few of our favorite post on things to do near the Jersey Shore:

For someone flying, you can often ask what route they took and if there’s a non-stop direct flight option. I am a bit of a flight geek so this sparks my interest.

Once one gets to a location they often have to get from point A to point B. Depending on the location will dictate whether or not you chose public transportation or use a rental car.

We often find ourselves searching the best way to get to and from an airport before we takeoff so we’re not scrambling once we land. If we’re visiting a city then we will likely use public transportation, trains, buses, or uber. In a more rural location we often opt to rent a car that way we can travel at our pace.

Did you learn anything new?

Taylor and I always try to learn something new about a particular trip, whether that’s something historical, something about the culture, food, or really anything.

When talking about one’s trip, ask if they learned anything new, I bet you they did!

We love asking if people recommend a particular destination. I can honestly say I’d recommend just about every place we ever visited because there’s a unique thing to do in each location.

This is a great question to ask to see if people enjoyed their trip when asking folks, “how was your trip”.

“Would you go again” is the ultimate question to find out if someone absolutely loved a location. We are constantly trying to visit new locations since there are just so many amazing places here on planet earth so if we say we will visit a place again, we really really love it! Now we understand, not everyone is like us and may not want to visit as many places as we do but the general census is if you want to go back to a location, you definitely like it.

For example, if you’re like my dad, you will make your way to the same spot every year, like Key West, FL (I think it’s his favorite place on earth).
